dont bother with this conversation any longer...the underlying problem here is: you/me/some others are grown ups with jobs, some have even kids. we are the reasonable ones. the ones with a realistic view in this. the others telling us that we want everything for free, have no or less such "time consuming hinderences" and are able to play 3-6 hours every day. like we most likely did back at some day when we were younger (i'm 42 myself, i played counterstrike starting at version 0.4 when guns didnt have random spray/recoil and you could actually manage recoil with skill...but too many cheaters absused that mechanic so they implemented that kind of random spray as recoil that you now have in every shooter, just that you guys know for how long i play pvp games. and i played really alot back than). but as you said, that was for my own fun, not for a grind that i even had to pay for to get the final reward. and that is where WG went wrong. a grind that i even paid for, should either be reasonable with a realistic amount of playtime needed in a certain timewindow, or should'nt run out at all so that if you paid for, you will finish it on your pace. but i dont even bother with the dockyard event, because even if i would pay for them as we are force now to do, i wont be able to finish them in time, unless i pay even more... and i've spent hundreds of euros on this game, what some might call stupid, but I'm not that stupid. sorry WG. -

oh please, do it. go cap with cruisers/bb/cv, but not late game when there are only few ships left. do it early or mid game...oh, you cant, because if your dd's dont do it early game for you, you wont make it so far, because...no matter what you say, the team that takes risks and caps, against a passive team that "waits", will most likely win. in randoms! -
Does it have improved pen angles and super heavy AP? It for sure does not feel like it. Seems like it´s gonna be an FdG and Alsace crap experienxce all over again. Why are all T9 techtree BB designed to suck? Except glorious russian one of course.

you forgot the constant 2 cv per team matches...thats the only reason to avoid everything below T6.

The problem of the Alabama is her substantially slower AP velocity. It's allready hard to hit at range with the NC, but the Alabama needs US DD level of leading ahead to hit anything.

the stomps are intentional, matchmaker is set to produce shorter games. shorter games = less exp = longer grind = more likely to use premium = more money. when wows started, and for about 2 years, it was rare to have any kind of one sided stomps, "snowballing" games. not because the average players were better, but matchmaker was really random. and with every matchmaker tweak, with every algorithm that was surely taken from WoT matchmaker, games became shorter and more one sided. 2-3 years ago a game below 10 minutes was rare. 2:10, 1:11, 0:12 defeats just didnt exist. losing streaks 5+? yeah happened, but not as common as for the last 1-2 years. and no, that's not tinfoilhat theory. shorter turnaround time for match relates to more money spent, because the grind gets more tedious. WoT had the same "phenomenon"...it was the point when I stoppen playing it. You could tell if a game was a win/loss - in most cases - after 1 minute into the game, just by playerdeployment on the map. In WoT games lasted around 7 minutes, at the end (when I stopped playing) it was around 3 minutes...and for sure the reason wasnt a sudden influx of (more) bad players (than usual).

but wg in their endless wisdom might actually just make them flatter, when what they really need is faster shell velocity.

Murmansk is way better than Omaha. faster ruddershift! And the marbleheads get used in ranked sprint and random matches, offen with high lvl captain...

I got really lucky for the first time, I guess. Bought 60 tokens for 10 € in the first day, got me 3 Blackfriday 2018 containers because I wanted the Massa B... 1. Massa B. 😱 2. Atago B. 3. 10 +250% exp camos... Cant conplain... Yesterday I bought 10 German containers for 35€. Got Pommern and Mainz... I guess I should have played lottery instead...🤷♂️

so, i was sceptical but head in this thread, that you can buy 60 tokens directly. did it...it's around 10 €. bought 3 black friday 2018 containers because i wanted the massa b (dont have either this nor the regular one) 1. container: massa b!!! 2. container: atago b (allteady got the takao, but hey...it's a black ship) 3. container: 10 +200 exp. camos... so for 10 euros spent, i guess i got reeeeeally lucky! once!

Just looked up some yt videos about ist...33 sec. reload!!!! You will hardly use more than 2 turrets of it, so you are basically stuck with 6x 380mm at 33 sec. reload! At T9! If it really stays at 33 sec. it's an autopass no matter what else they "buff" for it (my bet is they buff the AA from 5.2km to 5.4 km to compensate for the bad main battery reload) What a pityfull joke...😂 With all it's flaws, it would at least need a reload of 20 sec. to compensate everything that is bad about this ship.

I personaly dont play japanes BB, but a friend of mine grinded both lines. He meant nothing comes close to the agony of grinding through the FdG. 🤷♂️ But I liked the Neptune, played it after the smokfiring nerf...it's a blast compared to FdG.

so, the FdG is allready the worst T9, the worst BB on it's tier and I would go as far and state it's even the worst ship tier for tier in the whole game. I despised it and I dont think the secondary buff made it any better. the only thing that could make it useable would be an accuracy buff AND better gun angles. and now they bring a nerfed version of this PoS as a premium? really? seriously? I got the Jean Bart, love it...so why would I ever, ever just for a second think about picking this joke up for "hard earned" coal? why? To make me even think about it for a split second, this would need greatly improved agility. So if it would get at least 3x it's current acceleration and half it's current ruddershift and reduced turningcircle and american secondary dispersion and reduced colldown on it's heal...only than I could see myself start to maybe think about it...because the mainguns are useless with 1.5 sigma and these gunangles. if you use all 12, you get blapped constantly. I remember my last game with the regular FdG. I aimed at a stationary Des Moines, perfectly broadside to me, at 4,5 km. Out of my 8 guns, 6 missed, 1 overpenned and 1 ricoched...after this game I freeexp-ed the missing 65k to the Kurfürst and ragesold the FdG, never regreted it. Never did this with any other T9 ship. So, I just cant think of a way that the Pommern could be a good ship except buffing it's soft-stats to a degree, that it becomes fun. But it's a german ship...so...

than you are one of the lucky few that has not meat a competent cv player yet. in ranked, if you bring something else than cossack/lightning/kidd - kidd not because of good AA, thats a joke, but because of her heal, and the enemy cv knows what he is doing, you wont last longer then your first smoke. in random, i just had a battle, me in z52, where an Graf Zeppelin (T8!!!) just nuked half my hp in the first run, nearly the rest in the second one. that was about 3-5 minutes into the game (even "dodged" his first attempt by not rushing into the nearest cap), and I used one smoke to "dodge" one run. there was nothing I could have done to change the outcome, except one thing...not play a destroyer. and more and more destroyer players are doing exactly this.

everyone who is still denying, after this ranked season, that cv's are brokenly op if played competent, not good, just competent, is either 1. cv main who doesnt want his toy get touched, or 2. living in pure denial. without cv, a good dd player can have influence on a battle, even without dealing (much) damage, as soon as there is a "competent" cv player, it will wipe the floor with the best of the best dd players. without cv, a good cruiser player can contribute with smart positioning and cap denial with tools, as soon as a "competent" cv player is in the game, the cruiser is stationary practice target for the cv, or XP penata for bb's. cv's are op in 12vs12 and completely broken in smaller ranked battles. and because there are more and more just competent cv players, you see less and less dd players. because even good dd players cant do anything against a cv. the only thing is avoiding/hinging in smoke and running from it (cv), which renders you completely useless and is just not "fun and engaging".

Only one: Friedrich der Große = "piece of sh.t". it's the worst ship tier for tier in the whole game. it's an m3 lee, but on T9. it's only reason to be in the game is to make you spend freexp. it's designed bad in purpose.
