    It's "heal", i.e. restore HP, just like BBs and some cruisers get in normal game modes.
  2. Thank you for the video. One question please - your Blade has an 11 second reload on the torps, but mine has 17 seconds. What am I doing wrong please? I checked and the captain cannot be trained (that I can see) and nor can I find equipment module to decrease the reload time... Sure I am missing something obvious! EDIT - Ah, it's been pointed out now - reload was on a set of tubes fired earlier. I tend to fire all tubes together so missed this. Again, cheers for the video :-)

    Finally done it on the ~12th attempt. First try tonight, told the DDs to stay out of the circle. A DD immediately sailed into the cap, then straight out - instant failure of secondary objective, so a pi55ed off ally shot him for half his health. He YOLOd into the first Zikasa and died. One of our cruisers obviously decided this was a waste of time and went AFK. He was right, it was a waste of time. I missed an entire broadside from my BB into a Zikasa at 3.4km range thanks to idiotic dispersion. Second battle...told the DDs to stay out of the circle. A DD immediately sailed into the cap, then straight out - instant failure of secondary objective. After that, things improved rapidly. Team was coherent and smart. Our cruiser and 3 BBs all stayed right next to the Transilvania and our DDs pushed ahead and spammed torps everywhere. We failed the "don't stop" and also the "don't lose more than 50% HP" but were otherwise successful. However, the end was nerve wracking as the Transilvania's captain was obviously drunk and did a full 360 degree circle in front of the portal, then sailed towards it only to turn 90 degrees away again, then back and finally, with under 2 mins on the clock, he straightened up and went to the portal. One question. I watched Flamu's video and his Blade (the DD) gets an 11 second reload on the torpedoes. Mine has 17 seconds. What am I doing wrong please? Any ideas?? (Sure it's me being stupid but would love to know - that's such a massive difference in the rate of fire...)

    The main complaint from BB drivers is HE spam, followed by torpedoes to a lesser extent. Smoke itself is not really an issue for most, so long as they aren't getting HE spammed and burned to death from ships hidden in smoke. Torps are annoying, but usually only when fired in solid walls over long distances by invisible DDs. Since the RN CLs don't have HE to cause fires and cannot generate long distance torp walls from stealth it naturally follows that BB players are not bothered by them. That's how I see it. Smoke itself is not an issue for most players per se - it's what it allows you to do that's the problem.

    It's Frankenstein, not Einstein. It therefore works as Frankenstein used electricity (via a lightning storm) to bring his creature to life :-) Using Frankenstein works as he is monster/horror and therefore halloween related, whereas Tesla isn't.
  6. Yeah...that frustrating moment when you click battle, see there are only 7 players per team and realise it's CO-OP mode and you're about to waste your daily double. Funny old game, went round a corner in my Kami R and ran slap bang into the enemy's Farragut. One mutual exchange of torps later and that was that. But a tier 5 for a tier 7 is a fair swap I guess. Nice to meet you :-) Edit - have a like for the "Kamicrazy R - that's going into my sig ;-)

    Indeed - on my 2nd attempt we got Rasputin down to 12k hit points (from 200k) - so close! Agreed, but if no one else is doing it take the lead by asking for focused fire on key targets (usually the closest) with F3. If the whole team focus 1 ship at a time they die fast enough. Once people see that work once or twice they usually catch on.

    The graphics\art work look fantastic. The concept is really interesting and fun Because it's so hard, it pushes the team to work together. Some people will never play for the team but in the games I have played everyone has been communicating and working together Looks like it could be a big win for WG. Only possible issue is ship balance. Right now the queue is 90+ BBs, 2 CA and 3DDs... Edit - one question actually. Had to go to work now and didn't notice this so asking here. If you take premium consumables (which I think are probably necessary) are you going to lose credits every battle? The rewards for playing seem to be zero credits (on a defeat) but at the same time I saw some mention of credits added in the notification area.. Any ideas please guys? Cheers.

    Your choice, of course, but using free XP to jump the Furry Taco is a big mistake IMO... She's a great ship in her own right and also trains you well for the Aoba & Myoko. Whatever you do, good luck and enjoy! Edit - also, free XP is more valuable the higher up the tiers you go to avoid painful long grinds in stock ships.

  19. Good point, didn't think of that. Still don't think they should get endless air complements though, even with longer and longer respawns.
  20. I'm all for CVs running out of planes ;-) Seriously though, if the battle draws out and you run out of planes, go cap, help the team by distracting fire and\or try and ram someone. Limited air complements are, surely (?) something that is used by WG to balance CVs, especially at lower tiers where regular ships have relatively poor AA capabilities? Giving CVs endless planes, even with longer "reloads" for them, would simply allow them to run around the map (some of them are VERY fast) endlessly spawning aircraft to hammer slower ships as the game drags on. I'm not in favour of this particular idea, sorry. However, I do think the whole class need looking at, especially the UI.

    I'm honestly not sure if you are being serious, or just joking, but this is nothing to do with hating Royal Navy ships or Britain, etc.. Purely and simply, people will ALWAYS target the enemy that they think they can hurt the most. Given that the RN CLs seem to be made of citadels this is why people will focus them to death, even if they are tactically the wrong target. Everyone wants free damage and kills. Try playing the Atlanta and you will experience the same phenomenon - as soon as you are spotted EVERYONE focus fires at you, even if they are 20+km away and have better targets at half the distance... You get used to it ;-)

    How to play the Kawachi?

    Hello, I am playing the Japanese tech tree and have reached the tier 3 battleship, the Kawachi. Yes, I know it sucks. However, I am refusing to free XP past it, and whilst it's only tier 3 so will not exactly take a lot of games to get past (in fact I think in just 3 games I managed to unlock the hull and engine) I would still like to know how to get the best out of this thing whilst I am playing it and maybe, just maybe, I might actually enjoy a game in it. Seems to me that it's a perfect storm of terrible range on the primary armament (8.9 stock, 9.8 once upgraded), low top speed (20 knots with the best engine, though I am yet to actually play a game with it so was plodding along at 18 knots), longer surface detection range than it can shoot when stock (getting spotted at 9.5 miles) and very poor maneuverability, so it cannot dodge anything. Also, it feels like it gets set on fire with every hit and whilst it can sometimes take a pounding (in one game I took a lot of hits before sinking), most times it seems to sink very quickly (in the other 2 games I died very quickly). A typical battle seems to consist of getting left far behind as all the CLs, CAs and DDs race off, then by the time I get anywhere, there are usually at least 2-3 enemy cruisers who seem to be able to spot me and shoot me, all whilst comfortably staying outside of my gun range. Or if they do stray close enough, I either miss or only do minimal damage, then take massive amounts of damage (including fires) from them whilst I slowly reload. And because the rudder response is so poor, trying to dodge shots is ineffective. Meanwhile, any allied cruisers that I was with always seem to have sailed off, so whilst I try not to go alone, I often do seem to end up alone. Is there a "right way" to play this ship or, if not, is there at least a way NOT to play it? Thanks, krazypenguin
