Hi there! To make it short: The following feedback is my personal perception of certain things. I thought about it for quite a while, so it shouldn't be THAT wrong, but feel free to tell me where I'm talking nonsense. This is mostly (random) negative stuff, but it's meant to be feedback, so don't be scared. 1. Beta? Alpha? Foxtrott? Since a "beta" is an almost finished game in my book, I'm missing quite some features. Yes, old story. That's how betas look like these days. Anyway... just some examples: Communication - Ability to scroll through the chatlog? More detailed commands? General purpose of the tactical map? More information on the minimap, like spotting- and secondary gun's range? Port-chat? etc.pp. UI - Why aren't ALL reloadtimers visible all the time? That's especially a problem when driving ships with side-mounted cannons/torpedotubes. What's the point of the ship-icon in the bottom left corner? Why doesn't it provide more information value? (Larger image, added reload-/repairtimers, etc.pp.) Interaction with the "world" - In WoT you have trees and houses you can "play with". In WoWS you only have static islands. Why not add cannons to certain locations, like bases and ports? And what about currents, having an impact on both ships and torpedos? Waves/bad weather? Etc.pp. In general: What can we expect. And when? 2. Torpedos... Yes, I said TORPEDOS. Feel free to jump at me now. I just find them extremely gamebreaking. Yes, it's hard to use them. (I have ~5% accuracy.) Yes, you can often evade them. Yes, they definitely belong into the game. Yes, they add lots of tactical depth. But the implementation still sucks. To be more precise, it's the visibility and inability to evade them in lots of cases I find annoying. And the missing activation range, which leads to DDs "shotgunning" everything while suiciding. That's maybe the biggest problem in my opinion. This whole problem reminds me a lot of arty in WoT - except that torpedos need line of sight to the target... And I don't even want to mention torpedobombers. Their implementation is downright broken. Dropping torpedos from the stratosphere without having a dropping curve, so that they can even hit you while you have two big islands to your left and right. Multiple bombers laying a "net" of torpedos you simply can't evade at all. And the problem caused by the lacking visibility is even worse here. Oh... and it's pretty much impossible to actually shoot down some planes. I managed to kill ONE - when there were four teammates around. So... sorry, big fork-up here. Something about torpedos and especially torpedo-bombers needs to get changed. Seeing both carriers and torpedo-using ships being the top-players all the time - with 2x the EXP of the next-best players - is getting ridiculous. Add some spread at least, so that they don't move in perfect lines (more like angles) any more. And do something about the visibility. Maybe there should be a general warning ("Torpedos incoming!") with a larger activation radius, but you can only spot them (red triangles) when you actively look for them and have them in your field of view? 3. Secondary guns... It's a major letdown for me that they fire automatically. BBs just have a few main guns and the reloadtimes are quite long. It would be quite entertaining to control the secondary guns myself. That would also add a lot of tactical depth. 4. Playerbase... Good lord. The game is already full of utter idiots, fanboys and elitists. Everybody "camping". Everybody running away. Lemmingtrains. No teamplay. Teamdamage. People talking utter nonsense. It's a pain sometimes. Pretty often sometimes. So... please! Please WG! Learn from your mistakes. The playerbase of WoT is unevitably lost and the worst one I've ever encountered in a game. Please don't let this one end the same way. Educate the players (Mandatory TUTORIALS!). Reward improving your skill (Add goodies/achievements/rewards for playing ships a lot and improving the stats.). Reward playing the game like it's intended to (Uh... track the distance to enemies or something.). Reward teamplay. Don't let all the idiots rush the tiers in no time (Basic PROGRESS SYSTEM). 5. Questionable metagame... Actually, I'm in two minds about this. But an explanation first: Like in WoT, surviving as long as possible is the way to go. And one way to survive is to sacrifice all those other funny ships on your screen, waiting for them to do all the dirty work while you can stay in safety. It's especially annoying if BBs do that crap and even earn top EXP that way. Be it somebody who just keeps back and uses his teammates as cannonfodder, or just an idiot who camps behind everybody else and gets some cheap hits and kills at the end of the match. As mentioned above, this should be ruled out by the rewardsystem. 6. More random things... St Louis is OP. Most likely because of the RoF. I hate carriers. AA seems to be way too weak/unreliable. Kawachi's range is too low. Especially when paired with that (in-)accuracy. In general, there is too much RNG involved when playing BBs. Sometimes you hit a full volley of shells, sometimes you miss everything. In general, US BBs seem to be better than Nipponian ones. In general, BBs seem to be kinda pointless with the current meta dominated by torpedos. Ok, that's it already. For now. And to make sure that you don't call me a whiner (like many players in the game did already): I like the game so far. It's fun to play and pretty unique. The balance is kinda ok. And I love the soundtrack. Is there a way to get my hands on it? So long - Jigabachi, who tatally rushed the thread and is now going to bed.

Players are too busy playing the game and laughing about people complaining about torpedos. Devs don't care about the EU forums and the moderation on WG's forums is very bad in general. Soooo... I didn't expect that much to start with, I just did my part as a player and tester. But thanks for being the first one to comment.

This is a beta *cough* alpha *cough* test. This forum is meant to be for providing feedback (yet ignored by WG devs, community guys and mods, I guess....). He is providing feedback and ideas. And it's even constructive. @ topic: I agree that torpedos are a major problem right now. At least up to tIV, but I don't think that it will change THAT much in the higher tiers... 1. Too complex, I fear, but I kinda like the idea. 2. No. Cannons can run out of ammunition, too. So just limiting torpedos would be kinda unfair. And torpedos are also very useful for area denial tactics, where you don't even have to hit anyone. Would be quite a gamechanger. So... again: Nope. 3. Would completely screw the balance of the different country fleets. Nope again.

Add the ability to queue with the same ship instead of waiting for your current battle to end...

Please... do at least TRY to think about it. It really isn't that hard to understand. Just imagine what would happen if you did NOT have to wait for your ship to be ready again: Battle - YOLO! Battle - YOLO! Battle - YOLO! Battle - YOLO! Battle - YOLO! So... no. It should stay exactly like it is. If you want to keep playing that ship, just try not to get killed in the first minutes.
