edit: nvm I see it now, sorry my screen is on night saver mode and the contrast was to low to see you're overlaying the circle on the max view port distance. That indeed is part of the circle which is your acquisition range! There will be a mod soon I recon which just draws a secondary circle, just as there is a modpack now already offering last known spotted position and ship names on the minimap. Sorry for the confusion ( though I do think you should add the new image to the OP for clarity ;) ).

I actually have normal loading times now opposed to before the minipatch where I was late into battle all the time.
-
Nice writeup, especially the smoke mechanics ;) I got a question though: How exactly is acquisition range shown on the minimap? The circle is the main gun range, and there are no other markers shown regarding distance?

Sadly this is true but for me it is a reason why XVM can be actually useful. The reason you often get a 'stfu noob' is because often bad players give advice, and XVM helps to ignore them. The opposite of that is when I would see you being as good as you are and actually listening to you. Yes I know, I'm maybe one in a thousand but it does show again why the tool on itself isn't the problem it's with the people who don't use it right.

After 3.1 does the Warspite now need a buff?
mtm78 replied to xBamBamx's topic in General Discussion
I don't own one so this is all judging from second hand information but tajj7 seems to make a good case. The 'thing' Warspite had was it's way above normal ability to dodge, which now is shared with all others. So what is left? I hear people say it's the belt armor and the citadel being below the waterline, and I must admit I seen games where a Warspite took on a surplus of enemies and won. But I also know games where the opposite happens don't often make it on someone's youtube channel. And I also seen them getting annihilated pretty quickly by a single Fuso. What we really need is detailed ship performance statistics, not a plethora of personal opinions based on only partial and often not objective observations. Edit: I go a Fuso, if someone wants to go into a training room against me in a Warspite and test out the armor at different distances I'm up for that tomorrow afternoon ( will take some time as we need some iterations to rule out to much rng influence ). -
Accepting toxicity is the first step. How did it go again: the greatest evil is when good man do nothing? Anyway, I'm according to noobmeter above average to good, and it's fine with me. I think I could get properly blue on a reroll but I don't think it's worth it as I enjoy the game as it is and I don't need to get into a 'competitive' clan anyway. Also as been said some times before, players will complain about anything, xvm is just something they abuse to justify themselves. Remember the time when Type59 was flooding the servers and you often in chat had comment like: they got 5 Type59's and we got one, I quit. Ow and I don't 100% trust an unicum, rather 50-55%. Reason being, for the unicum I can often be a expendable commodity, traded for damage to the enemy team. Yeah I know, now I could also complain about XVM, because maybe the purple judged my lowly green stats as bad as not 'have my back'. But those situations are one in a thousand, and would happen regardless because my clan tag isn't top 100 ( or even close lol ), or maybe even because I was playing badly and the unicum decided that risking his own hp to safe mine wasn't worth the risk. All perfectly valid reasons imo and I'm not bothered about it at all. To me it seems most of the people who would complain, are those who find themselves in situations more often then me where based on XVM their worth isn't enough to risk hp for.

Sorry been a busy day ;)

Where did you get it that I slag people off in game? Where did I say I drown myself? Why are the haters all trying to make things up while they go along on their crusade? I said I can trust a better player to have my back when I make a tactically sound move, which is true and can't be said from a tomato. Why are you all so desperate in your crusade that you're willing to lie and twist the truth to suit your agenda?

Closed Beta Keys distribution, allocation and etiquette

1. because it's not ready for release 2. because it's not ready for release 3. because you're trolling in a obvious way and they like to return the favor -
A single click says so much more then words alone. Images count even double

Hope to see you in battle later today m8 Btw as previously said, Gremy and Sims are stronk sheeps

I am getting fairly annoyed by your ad hominem, good job. You've proven you can deter legitimate users of this forum from taking place in discussions. Hope the mods will take care off you as well.

Heat of battle you forget things, or miss things on the minimap. And even with a replay you can't always be sure as you don't have a replay from the enemy team's perspective.

http://forum.worldofwarships.eu/index.php?/topic/11679-replay-function/page__fromsearch__1 Would really help to see the replays so we can check exactly what happens
-
As indicated, provide replays so we can check the facts. http://forum.worldofwarships.eu/index.php?/topic/11679-replay-function/page__fromsearch__1

I am waiting for the 'Stay calm and don't beg for key's' gif... you're slacking if you ask me
-
Ow he pastes that in every thread where someone begs for a key, I guess he has macro's set up on his keyboard for it even

There are some broken animations, especially the one where fighters seem to drop into the sea. But yeah I do see the individual planes and all with max settings that was always the case

Any one having trouble grinding with the new XP rate?
mtm78 replied to Harvister's topic in General Discussion
screenshots add plausibility, you also failed to mention if it was a loss or a victory. -
Car was caustic sorry thought it was clearly sarcastic and not to be taken serious. The planes however are, and no I don't run low quality everything is maxed out, and ye there are animations which look ok/good but there are also quite a few which don't. edit: sea gulls would be nice at the start of a match, don't think those birds would stick around after you fire the guns though so in battle it wouldn't be that realistic I recon having them around.

After 3.1 does the Warspite now need a buff?
mtm78 replied to xBamBamx's topic in General Discussion
You need to manually enable them for them to be recorded, if you didn't do so then you won't even have the replay folder. The way to enable them is to edit your preferences.xml file and add two lines ( can't find the thread, but a proper search should reveal it I'm not even past my coffee so I'm a bit slow sorry ). -
You are forgetting the majority of their Russian demography is playing the game on this; Which is why we don't have sea gulls in game, nor proper scaling of villages, or animated cars driving around in the villages, or plane animations which don't look like the planes drop right from the sky to fight while being parked on the waves. The graphical state as it is is already a pleasant surprise, I wouldn't count on two much being added even if it would be very nice additions to have.

Not complaining, don't see a need for more inflated rewards during CBT the economy is boosted enough as it is.
