I said so many times, we need the message carousel from WoT with short messages like; support xyz, cap point xyz, defend xyz, carrier please support xyz and so on. We also need to know which ship is pinging the map ( currently you just see the square being highlighted, not who is trying to make people notice something ). WG atm isn't really catering to or facilitating for those who want to play this in a team setup.

Thanks for the neg rep

Sorry but torps have no RNG other then player input ( which would consist of skill ideally ). Shells have dispersion which equals RNG, and that is why BB's suffer the most from it. Also has others have pointed out, it's very hard to balance for the devs.

That is what I said as well, he probably got the mod from some place which didn't specify the origin, so if a legitimate owner contacts him he will address that issue promptly. But going into this thread with the accusation of stealing is bad form, he did not steal this mod he just got it from unconfirmed sources. And there are plenty of mods in the wild on sites which don't specify an owner/source, should he ignore all of them? I think what he is doing is the best for the community, he collects all the good mods in one place, and when an author contacts him with an issue about it he resolves it. Should he not touch any mod without a known author? That would mean he couldn't provide community with everything which is available. As long as he gives credits when asked to do so, or takes a mod off when an owner personally objects to his mod being included, what is the problem with trying to give us 'all the good stuff'?

Even the worst possible player would surely receive more xp/credits in PVP then in PVE

This. Though, the game could try harder to force people to play in a certain way by giving more benefits to those who do, and less to those who go play lone wolf.

No BB will get torpedo launchers, agreed on all the rest ( even while I would have loved taking H44 out for a spin ).

Problem is that bb's rely on rng more then other classes, he said so pretty clearly. Aerroon, on 01 June 2015 - 08:11 AM, said: But fighters don't help you WIN the game as much as bombers. The game is about killing other ships so it doesn't make sense to have CVs that only kill each other with fighters and don't hit ground targets. It's a ship game, not about planes fighting planes. It doesn't help to win the game if you shoot down enemy fighters. Yes it should, by eliminating enemy fighters you're blinding enemy fleet ( or well that is how it should work ).

others: Prelim stats, stop arguing. you: No no Bismarck dpm this and that, it is wrong others: prelim, know what it means? you: but they are wrong and I feel strongly about that, infact whole German community is in uproar they:you really don't know what preliminary means do you? you: please read what I wrote, you fail to understand my point of view. Or can't you read? This is the impression you are giving me

So far he has always and quickly accredited mods to people who where their legit developers, so no need to accuse him of stealing. Sometimes finding the proper origin of a mod is hard as other people also post things from random other people. So I would just contact him in pm, provide evidence that a mod is yours and I am quite certain it will get resolved.
-
Yet you claim anyone who disagree with you of being 'unable to read', and then tell them to 'read what you wrote again'. That is just as much ad hominem and I'm sorry if you can't see that.

I'm a USN DD player and I can't help but agree. If I'm facing an IJN DD on the enemy team I will try to instigate a dogfight and I usually win those, if I face an USN DD I am more careful and only dogfight when I think I have the upper hand. The times I lost a fight with IJN DD's are a> when I was distracted ( own fault ) b> when I was on very low hp c> when I got swarmed by multiple DD's c> rare occasions where really good players just outplay me.

Closed Beta Keys distribution, allocation and etiquette

Didn't even pay enough attention, but it might be that he's from the NA server and made an account on the wrong forums? -
I approve of this message.

If DM was a utterly broken as people claim it to be, don't you guys think it would be the only ship I play? In reality, I don't play it much at all, ye DPM is nice but it's big, turns badly and in my hands doesn't feel that broken at all

CBT feedback section -> http://forum.worldofwarships.eu/index.php?/forum/175-closed-beta-feedback/ Though plenty of people are using GD ( General Discussion ) to post feedback content, that would be the 'proper' section. Edit: Btw, welcome aboard matey, see you on the high seas -
You can see the problem is in more of us then just him, so saying it's 'his problem' is putting the blame on all of us who can't help thinking a comment as has been made is distasteful at best. I honor my mother who died not being much older then I am today, I honor her life but I also remember her dying. And I was even 'lucky' to not be able to witness it from close by, I am certain if I had been able to see her go through the process my distaste of people who feel free to substitute 'having cancer' with 'feeling ill'. But I don't want a witch hunt, as much as I would like to receive respect and compassion I am also bound to show that to others and because of that I don't hold it against him personally. It was distasteful in my opinion, but I also respect that other people will find my choice of words offensive at times while I have no idea of why.

If WG would want cbt to not use mods they could easily remove mod support entirely for the time being. Since they don't I actually expect them to want us to test modifications to their game ( in the sense that they can then judge which modifications pop up, try to control/banish the bad one's and perhaps even take things from good one's and put them into the vanilla client ). Though I would fully agree that someone who want to report things like texture anomalies and UI bugs, should always first remove any and all modifications themselves to rule out them being the cause of the abnormalities. Sadly I know this doesn't happen ( all the time ) and people will report 'bugs' caused by 3rd party modifications, but on the other hand if I look at WoT and compare the stock interface from the initial vanilla game with what there is now, and then look at where a lot of these ideas originated from, I think having mods benefits WG enough to put up with some extra hassle of weeding through a unrelated bugreport ticket ;) edit: Off course, if you can point me to a staff or dev post asking the community to not install mods during CBT I will gladly follow protocol and stop promoting the use of mods at this time

What Were Your Greatest Gaming Achievements Today ?

Yamato confirmed weak must buff, on the other hand Yamato 2 stronk must nerf! -
If you included a DXDiag output log next time it would help as we can check version numbers and see system details but since the error is specific to D3D I would remove DirectX completely and then reinstall both it and your gpu drivers even while you state they are u to date.

Use Aslains modpack installer -> http://forum.worldofwarships.eu/index.php?/topic/12780-mod031-aslains-wows-modpack-installer-wpicture-preview-v033-25052015/page__fromsearch__1

So you're in a closed beta test and you don't think arguments based on statistics are valid discussion points I had a large collection from the last Dingers thread on the WoT forums, epic gif's coming from them I say

[edited] I to would like more defined roles. In WoT you have lights with more viewrange and cammo, you got td's with good cammo ( well wait.. they changed that to cater to the HT drivers didn't they.. ), heavies for where HP and armor come into play, and mediums which can do it all. In WoWs there is far less usable terrain features, there is no high or low ground, no bushes and so on. So it would seem it needs even more differentiation between classes in order to accomplish making this team based game more dependent on using ships in their proper roles ( since they would then be stronger then the sum of them all individually ). And there certainly is a concept of it in place, and yes this means a sole DD has a way higher chance of beating a BB on it's own then it would IRL. And that is not such a bad thing, it makes all classes more or less equally attractive ( or it will when 'balance' has been archived ). If they did not, everyone would queue up only in BB's, and that would create some issues. So other classes perform better then their real life counterparts, it's ok as long as it's not to out of control. This is not a simulator, it's an arcade naval combat experience, and it you want it 100% realistic this just isn't the game for you.
