    Patchnotes for 0.3.1.3

Do you already have a thread about basic armor mechanics? Is this in there ( if it's not, I know what I would like your next thread to be ;) ).
  2. For historical reasons I call for a buff to smoke duration, you heard it it should last the whole match

    World of torpedos....

I been having great fun with Gremy this whole patch, being able to launch while not detected is great ( compared to my USN DD's which right up till where I'm at now always get spotted if they want to do a torpedo run ). And those aren't even that fast ( are they? ). It will only get better© soon though
  4. That's actually not true. It depends on who is doing it. You can screw your team majorly with smoke as well, namely if you smoke and you DON'T have a spotter above the enemy team - while they have a spotter over yours. ^ this 1000x

At post 407 and you're complaining the thread gone off topic? Wow you really have not been on the WoT forums have you If there are no relevant posts, people come in and post off topic stuff. If there were enough interested people able to provide worthy points of discussion, no topic would ever go off topic. So it's never just the fault of those who go 'off topic'.

Using smoke makes you a bad person
  8. As posted in this thread ( quote from support ) -> http://forum.worldofwarships.eu/index.php?/topic/15068-dds-rng-has-become-unplayable/page__pid__272870#entry272870 How does this work? Is it even correct? As people's reaction show in the thread, it's basically saying there are 'ghost' torpedo's/shells which are intended to happen? I'm considering the support guy was making things up, as I can't believe this is implemented the way I understand it.
  9. Well on it's own it has merits if you explain it that way, but not as a reaction to the screenshots. Btw I also remember a video which said it but I only now remember seeing it ( and I never gave much thought about it until now ). A. the DD was full health ( so not hit before! ) B. the torpedo hit mid ships ( so where machinery is located, and DD's have no bulge armor afaik ). And he still got a very low dmg roll ( VERY low ). And then support says it's because of 'compartments'. As I said in that thread, I understand a magazine you already detonated won't give you the same AP dmg as a non exploded magazine would, but it should still give 'good damage' against the structural integrity what is left after the magazine detonated ( since if not enough integrity was left, the ship would break in two ). And it doesn't match/explain the screenshots posted in that thread. I just want to know -> if I get citadel hits on specific section of a ship ( without detonating a magazine, taking out a boiler room and so on ) is it less likely I will do the same damage when I citadel the exact same section again? In my experience it doesn't work that way. And -> if I get hits and take out components ( gun's, engine's, launchers and so on ), will I do less damage when I hit those same parts? Again you would think since it would match the explanation given by support and the dev video. But in my experience it doesn't work that way

    World of torpedos....

I was just rushed by a Montana in my Ibuki while hiding behind a smoke screen. He was at < 1km when I launched two waves at thim and removed his full hp Montana from the game. Then an Iowa came at me, and killed me but not before I launched my other 2 waves. In total 12 torps hit, giving me 150k dmg ( by far the best in Ibuki ever for me so far ). I was joking in chat about torps being weak, then our remaining Zao killed another battleship from near full health ( his second sudden strike for the game btw ). It was hilarious, the enemy battleships didn't seem to agree that torps need a buff

The troll face should be a dead giveaway
  12. That's the whole point of a smoke screen, so nope.

So the money I spend on WoWs already was fake ( since there is no German tech tree implemented yet )? Or did you mean, no money from you?

Yours was post 401, so not needed for the magical number to resurrect the pink unicorn which will fart a rainbow which will show us where the green leprechaun hides his Bismarck

    My few points of feedback

Well I for instance don't comment much on CV balance and gameplay because I don't play the things myself. I even don't want to comment on Yamato vs Montana debates as I only have the Yamato, or Zao vs Des Moines as I'm only at the Fubuki ( got Des Moines though ). I don't comment on IJN DD's, because I only play USN DD's and Gremy. I do comment on gameplay balance, because I can see certain aspects from playing my own ships. But your personal stance on DD's for instance does color your feedback as you never will be able to take into account what mechanics make it possible for DD's to have good games. Then: 1. Other suggestion works ONLY in higher tier matches. In lower tier matches you would buff bigger callibers without offering anything in return, and they don't need that buff. Even if you did, fire does damage, it makes sense. Asking for buffs for some ships because a mechanic doesn't favor them without taking into account what this would do for gameplay for other classes is not how things should be done ;) 2. Nerving pen on 152 is meaningless as they are used as HE spamming machines ( you mentioned cleve and atlanta). Nerf to range sounds a lot better to implement as accuracy would have to much of an impact. But then again, compare the range's in game of 152's and 203's right now, there is already a gap and I'm not sure if it's to small. It's not to that I don't agree with your outcome, it's that I don't agree with how you reach your conclusions ;)

    My few points of feedback

    1. Uhm what? Critical hits are just as % based as fire so that part makes no sense at all. And no, fire does damage, in fact I would like fires to do more crits ( I know fire can cause magazine detonations, but I would like fires to be able to take out/crit secondaries and AAA mounts ). Changing it so it only removes captain skills is useless if your opponent has none and makes smaller calliber ships helpless against BB's ( I will check your profile later, this reads as a typical BB captain ;) ). 2. True in a way, the HE mechanics do need some toning. But 152mm HE vs 203mm AP on cruisers is not a done deal if the 203's lands citadel hits.. if you can hit that. 3. +1 Edit: yup, played ~400 battles, 0 in destroyer and negligible amount in CV. Got some experience in cruisers though, up to the Pepsi and the Amagi in the BB line.

    DD's RNG has become unplayable

Besides the point of personally being capable of it, how hard can it be to enable a spell check in the language you're communicating in? I would say I'm not to bad with English but I still see that red underline on a word sometimes and then go back to correct it ( though sometimes the dictionary is being a stubborn old git ).

    Weather conditions

I decompiled the script it was not server side, well I decompiled the mod and the class it called, none of which had functions for receiving data from the servers. Off course, decompilation isn't even possible atm with any of the tools I tried, so I hope it's properly sealed of for now I would like weather conditions like rain / snow / fog all of which only affects visibility. Having rough seas affect accuracy of main guns would only lead to draws as people would be unable to to enough damage before the timer runs down.
  20. Then that is your likely answer. Been using Black + OTM for a while now ;) But, lead was never really the problem elevation was ( for me at least ). Most people still don't change speeds much, so lead is the quickest thing to have zoned in, elevation is harder as people do tend to zig-zag a lot
  21. If it's inconsistent it's likely a networking issue where your client is not synchronized properly with the server. Did you have lag, or worse lag then usual?
  22. Blowing into a mic was only one of the ways to generate a breeze, if you had a webcam on your pc you could also move your arms like a windmill and if done correctly the resulting breeze would quickly dissipate the pesky fog,
  23. mtm78

    Weather conditions

Yeah but the aim point calculations where done through scripts in the client itself, not send down by the server. Off course the positions, headings and velocities of ships are send by the server and those are needed for the calculations, but the aim point calculations where not done on the server.
  24. On this I wouldn't hold your breath it was asked since alpha I been told and we're now in CBT and the dev's have changed their stance on it ;) edit: duh I missed a NOT between 'have' and 'changed'
  25. Yup that was the mentioned ship, I will try and find the thread maybe you should post there and if it's still actual and more people have the issue then the dev's will have to take a closer look at it.
