Light damage -> most repair Moderate damage -> medium repair heavy damage -> NO repair Also time dependent, wait 1m after getting light damage and you will repair less than when initiated right after receiving it. This is why AP is still very viable on high tier cruisers vs cruisers if you are sure you can pen citadel shots ( those are heavy damage and it can not be repaired ).

Ow, you're clinging to the XP system instead of thinking about what wins games? Still doing that..? If something wins games, the XP system needs adjustments, not the other way around ;) It is only for the first couple of minutes, during which time your cv will be going after the enemy carrier. If you see your enemy carrier focusing on something else then the enemy carrier I usually stop escort/covering as I too don't want to sit there for 20 minutes hoping for enemy carrier to come to us. And you only need 1 cruiser really depending on the enemy carrier(s), especially USN carriers have good AAA and only need a cruiser for the panic ability. I do admit I don't hope the new meta will turn into what Sharana and me encountered earlier, a carrier with two cruisers parked on either side acting as torpedo catchers as well as AAA platforms If carriers are that powerful, making that a viable tactic, they need some rebalancing though as I said in other threads it seems very hard to balance. -

Huh, a CA needs to be giving AAA support at the start for his carrier, and trust me IJN carriers doing a mass attack do require quite some apm with putting manual focus on the right squadrons, using the panic button at the right time and staying in close proximity to the carrier you need to help while giving it enough space to dodge attacks. Like I said, WG needs to increase the reward for killing planes. -
Only unless speed would also affect their turn radius.... ;) edit: their = the planes* problem atm is that planes don't turn relative to their momentum.

How is playing to win sub-optimal? Or do you mean WG's experience system is flawed atm as it doesn't reward game critical play? It's usually only required the first minutes when your carrier has not sunk the enemy carrier, once he has been sunk you can go for surface engagements. WG just needs to reward shooting down planes more. -

I have a corsair force GT and I'm only entering battle when it starts, but it was already concluded it's a caching issue as subsequent loading times are lower if a map/ship model was already cached in a match before.

Sims is a gunboat, it's meant to hunt other destroyers and it can do that pretty well. Giving it long range torpedoes isn't needed or it would be better than the ships you can reach though the research tree.

They should add tutorial about torpedo range/speed and situational awareness as well, but will they do it? How long did it take for WoT to get a 'proper' *cough* tutorial?

Because as a Martian I have visited all human made spaceships and he wasn't a captain on any of them, he might have been stuffed away in the boiler rooms but I never saw the need to visit those places

I saw Sharana in Yamato yesterday, the dodge's where very real. I guess the skill is stronk in him... I on the other hand ate a lot of fish in my Yamato as I didn't pay attention to the planes going for me ( tbf I was killed by two Des Moines spamming HE and not the torpedo's ). But per thread title, yes it's definitely related to MM. And skill.. But mostly I think the MM should be skill based then you don't get good cv captain's vs bad battleships captains. That would solve a lot of problems imo.

I've spend some cash on WoWs already, and my Gremmy was worth it, the Sims is still fun ( though I do bad in it ) and the Yubari isn't bad. I bought some premium time as well. Think I won't regret it ever, but if I am willing to sink as much cash into this as I did with WoT, not sure yet. -
You can not use those numbers without considering the vastly different metagames, their useless on their own. And no, I don't agree on increasing battle length, it will make it harder to 'play a game in between other stuff'.

I am iirc around 8 or 9%, quite high sadly edit: on the other hand, not being such a good player I would like to think I have many draws which would otherwise have been losses and as such I rather draw than loose

I don't have carriers in my port I thought about quiting the match starting pingplotter and starting the game again but afaik you can't get back into a running match so that would have been useless as well. Anyway, it was the first time it happened to me in such a way ( really big desync ). And the number of people online wasn't that high, so not sure if I would attribute it to server overload ( probably not tbh ). But since I didn't have pingplotter running I can't see where the problem was. ps with 'no server overload' I am talking about the actual game server, there could still be a problem with WG's load balancer or gateway but I can't imagine the game server not being able to handle 8 a 9k people when at peaks it had much much more already.

I just had a match where I had no rudder control, my torpedoes launched 20 meter ahead of my ship, my smoke was popping ahead of my ship and enemy battleships passed right through my torpedo's. Ping in game was normal, no lag warning. So I quit the game, started pingplotter and been running now with pingplotter on for 3 games and no lag in any way, seems WG doesn't lag with pingplotter running for me but it sure did without

I am sorry but everything after Cleveland has been .. uhmm.. not really a joy to play. And even Aoba when I played it was a nice ship ( with it's flaws compared to the misplaced Cleveland ). The IJN line is more flexible then the USN line, and more fun. Well it is for me at least
