    Usefull? Like in actually useful for more then epeen matches on the internetz? Keep looking then, we're talking about people's performance in an arcade game, it's not like Aliens will suddenly attack us with game characters/models and we'll have to depend on a couple of gamers to save the world

    Nah, tournaments are snapshots, everyone can have a single bad day but if you use the samples from a large period of time actual skill will determine the average and not a good or bad day.

  4. I think it's a lot better, a BIG chunk better then WoT for example. And, sadly, the toxicity is usually originating not from those who talk about statistics, but those making remarks about the performance of others. The good and really good players have accepted there are lots of people who will play badly, the bad people usually keep blaming their teams. Don't tell me the good people are the toxic one's, I will loose faith in humanity if someone from the internet doesn't agree with me.. Seriously though, even the baddies are nowhere near as close as being as toxic as in WoT. Which is why I am convinced WG is headed the right way with WoWs, if they were not the normal people would stop playing leaving only the trolls and this would show in ingame chat pretty quickly.
  5. How about just doing it as currently in game, a shared channel for both teams and a channel for your own team? Still I think this idea is more beneficial if you allow a 1 minute window prior to a match instead of before after. edit: replaced a before with an after, minor logical fallacy there

    With Sharana, who is obviously not the average CV captain, it took a well organized enemy team and a badly organized allied team to lose a match without opposing carrier. Did not happen often but statistically off course still relevant so I won't deny you got a point. What was/is OP was the XP gain, the modifier for CV's ( if there is any, not sure ) should be lower for them so they don't make that much more xp than regular ships. Which is also the cause of the problem, CV captains could grind higher tier quicker then most people playing other classes, making the queues heaven for the first one's with high tier carriers. Would be nice if WG made server wide statistics publicly accessible

    uhm atm there is no mirror matchmaking on live server so plenty of games with 2v1 1v0 and even 2v0 so above situation is flawed.

    You get xp and credits for your contribution to the team, winning just gives a bonus. I've had 300k losses and ~40k victories in premium ships with premium account. Even if you win but you don't do anything you're not getting a lot of rewards ( and rightfully so ). W/R is how good you are tactically, dmg and kills determine how much of your team's war effort has been done by you.

    Other way around for me, CBT was at 52% or so and now 60%. Difference is that in CBT I did USN DD line up to Fletcher, and both IJN and USN CA's to tier X, and Yamato. With only IJN DD's and IJN CA's, it's easier to get accustomed to ballistic properties of the gun's you're using, and well low to mid tier IJN DD's are just really, really good for punishing those people who don't understand game mechanics.

    Another vote for Braincage, been a viewer since the start but haven't been regular lately. Other names in the thread yeah ok, but why are people mentioning Jingles? http://worldofwarships.eu/en/community/accounts/500898800-/#tab=pvp/account-tab-overview-pvp 44.8% win rate won't teach anyone how to be a good player ( though he offers nice background information and it's entertaining to watch... just don't try to use him to get good ). Sharana's guides as been said are key, understanding game mechanics is needed. Aaerroon has some very good carrier video's, if you're into clicking on sheeps Trigger_Happy_Dad's YT video's and his comments on them ( in his thread about teamplay ) are good for learning the strategic considerations and to keep situational awareness ( though I miss the narrating on the video's, that would be the icing on the cake ). iChase has a good stream and video's, very informative. Ectar, good player well idk, but it's entertaining for sure

More with you then with me it seems, guess you're better at me at not using the aim predictor @hannibalurg, Shimakaze is fun but Gearing is love, Gearing is life ( well for me ) But with the buffs to IJN gun's I might stick with IJN first as I already got Mutsi unlocked ( for a long time ), and the low tier USN DD's are quite limited in their gameplay.

    You do have to consider you're probably in unicum territory for WoWs ( certainly if you remove those from the list which stetpedded their way there with IJN CV's ). Most people will have more trouble, if you're constantly ending in the bottom 5 players on your team you won't make much profit on a standard account even on lower tiers.

Just commenting that you can get very decent damage numbers on them, I'm not even good at playing them if you consider damage ( there are people with double my averages, not on Umi I think but on the others there are ) but like you I have good win ratio in all of them ( even including Greg ). Umi is hard to snipe btw, those torps are soooooo slow it's horrendous if people actually change course and speed once every 30 seconds or so. But even in tier 5 games people still don't use more than two brain cells if you're lucky, if they do you're dead as you're to slow to outrun any cl at those tiers. Umi's favorite target btw is a St Louis or a BB, both turn like a whale.
  17. My Umikaze begs to differ It's mostly because I've been in tier IV and V battles with it quite often, more hp to go around there. But the main strength of the ijn dd's is winning games, you have the range to launch undetected and can be crucial in late game ( which wins games, when both teams are quite balanced and a DD makes it into late game, it's his time to shine ).

    Low k/d and damage depend on the ship you're playing off course. Account wide statistics are meaningless unless you look at which ships someone plays. And I concur, it's much much easier to spot bad players then it is good players. I got decent stats but I only play solo during the day usually when others are at work and I might have some spare time. In the evenings I usually division, and divisions give higher w/r on average than solo play ( but can result in lower kills because every time I see someone who I can finish off I see shells already in the air from one of my two 'friends' ).     I checked ( asked Tuccy, benefits of being ST )​, technically it's not, morally it is I thought that as well hence me asking, but it seems I was wrong. If it were totally a dice roll, how come some are consistently doing better than others? There is most definitively a larger part which is out of personal influence ( thought CA/DD are quite versatile ) but I would like to believe there is an element of individual skill even in win rate

    Rushing in foolishly is not using distance correctly which is what I said no? And with Cleve. distance is about 12-10km when your gun's get fast enough feedback to have a really good hit ratio, which is why I said I thought you were doing it wrong.     Was also already stated somewhere that premium ships are not required to be weaker than normal ships ( afaik... iirc.. ) and it makes sense. They need to be comparable, but with a unique feature making them attractive, as weak ships sell a lot worse than comparable one's.

    I was more elaborate in another thread but basically you need to consider k/d, average damage, win rate and ship class. A CL with lower damage but higher kill count is logical as it's going up against DD's, a BB with high k/d but low average damage is unlikely to ever get good win rate. Someone in any ship with high k/d and high damage, but low win rate is making strategic mistakes ( were k/d and damage as more tactical in nature ). All the metrics are interlocked. And a CL which hangs back all game to hopefully at the end of the game kill a few low hp dd's ( very low damage, reasonable k/d ) will have many matches where in the end he is just outnumbered to much and will fail to get a decent win rate. So as I said, finishing off low hp targets != skill. Not as a sole metric at least.

    I considered linking your Kongo stats to show how weak BB's really are, but then people would say that one bird doesn't make a summer But you're the first I see with ~65% wr in a mid tier BB, if I say 'lucky' it's not the same as saying you're lucky, capice?
