You are right, my highest tier ship is a tier 8 CA which hasn't even the repair cost off a tier 8 BB ( but also has a lower damage potential ). And I still sometimes run out of money after buying ships and upgrades, with my premium time and quite some premium ships ( which I don't all play that often at all though ). I am not dismissing the point he is making, the economy severely punishes those who perform bad in any given match, but on the other hand it also rewards those who do outstanding in a single given match. For evidence of the later, there is a thread about best achievements of the day ;) This isn't always a bad thing though, it forces people to get better or play more money makers ( which are mid to low tier mostly because those ships have much lower costs to run ).

They are visible in every forum post, that there are no clan related activities in the game yet has nothing to do with him finding something offensive in the mentioned clan tag he sees on the forum no? Edit: Also when you click on said clan name you will go to their profile page. There might be something there which is offensive to Polish players like KptStryzyga. That people neg rep him is wrong, though BBV is right that in order to remedy this he should contact support as discussing it on the forums won't help in any way and said discussion is known to have a undesired outcome due to certain elements 'contributing' to said discussion.

I could quote Sharana in previous posts but he explained below your post -

I believe they missed your note, as currently AAA damage does not stack nor is remembered when a plane leaves a ships AAA aura.. -
A Question of Philosophy - Can I be a noob if I'm aware of it?
mtm78 replied to thebeastcalledpoopy's topic in General Discussion
Well I am quite the noob atm with Battleships, because I don't play them and thus lack the situational awareness which comes with playing them ( I also don't play CV ). Sometimes I do noob things with my CA/DD's as well, but I don't think I am eligible for a noob qualification on general in those classes. My definition of a noob isn't someone who thinks he is better than that he is, a noob is a bad player ( period, no other requirements needed ). A noob which knows he is a bad player stays a noob, though he just took the first step in getting rid of his noob status by recognizing he needs to improve. Once he improves enough to become a better player, I will no longer consider him a noob. There is no middle way ( well unless like me, you can be a noob AT TIMES but in general you're not ). -
Can you point me to a player with great stats
mtm78 replied to Kokos78's topic in General Discussion
Not as much fun as educating the new players about sailing in straight lines and eating lots of fresh fish ( Umikaze ) edit: but still, OP only mentioned Minekaze ( which is ... not that smart.. since Umikaze and Isokaze tier for tier are at least as stronk ). -

Kostis_Larson? I'm not even that far from him -
So is Cleveland going to be moved to t7 or is it fine?
mtm78 replied to viceadmiral123's topic in General Discussion
I have 11k more avg damage with Cleveland compared to Aoba, seems balanced to me. The shell arc lowers the effective dpm so much it's not that much of an issue. Aoba is a CA/CL hunter ( which can go solo or pack with another CA ), with Cleveland I play more as escort CA, preferably doing my damage to BB's who're distracted by my BB's or to CA/CL/DD trying to attack my BB's. So basically I play Cleveland much more team oriented ( and get 40% better wr in comparison with a very small sample size though ). -
I don't know what you mean with a limited array database, I can tell you for sure they are using incremental db backups so no way a single delete action should be irrecoverable.

Why are captains shooting somewhere right after starting?
mtm78 replied to abkack's topic in Newcomers' Section
The flight time indicator could be used for that ( playing devil's advocate a bit, as it's what I been told when I said the same thing in a previous thread about this subject as you're saying now here ). -
Uhm if they didn't keep record of those things, who does? Think I can fool my client to convince the server I had a 20 point captain on all my ships, or would the server be the one who 'decides' this? ( rhetorical q off course ) The issue seems to be that the tools support has to access the database entries aren't tailored to access the fields containing the captain info ( I know this for a fact, but don't ask for proof as I can't give it ). Now the questions are: a> will we get a better warning before dismissing a captain? b> will the support tools be updated to include access to database tables for captains? I'm hoping for a to be true, so b isn't as much of an issue ( as restoring a captain after dismissing it after you get a warning popup and clicking that away seems a bit too much if you ask me ).

The difference between Zao max range and Des Moines max range for instance is that Zao is effective at max range, try hitting reliably with a Des Moines at max range then come back to the post and think about it again I posted my Zao module layout before in a thread about Zao, I would advice looking for specific threads about Zao as there are some around and they contain quite a lot of info from people who played it during cbt.

How the heck can you lose 500k for one game? I know I'm a premium scrub so maybe that's helping me but I don't think I lost money while just playing the game ever ( odd game in between left aside where I died without doing anything significant ). Sorry but if you would perform a bit better on a personal level you would do better with credit income.

What I do against dive bombers is turn, most of the times I don't get hit or just splashed. As said previously, the drop shape is an oval, manual drop is very precise even but if you're evading you shouldn't be hit in most DD ( some turn bad though so you got an excuse then ). Most important thing: unless you plan on using smoke, NEVER drop speed. A slow moving DD is much easier to manual drop with dive bombers.

As said above, WG isn't able to restore captains Technically it should be possible ofc, I mean it's just another db entry, but the management tools they are using don't seem to be that flexible.

Carrier Drivers: Don't feed the enemy. A list of things not to do
mtm78 replied to Ewokgod's topic in General Discussion
Someone junk this thread quickly, we don't need smarter carrier's on the enemy team! Wait, you're on my team and you didn't read the thread? BOOM! -
Don't rush tiers to get tier X if you can't even play the game properly please. And don't give advice on 'fun ships' when you do 35% wr with that ship ( Aoba ). But thanks for playing IJN CA's, hopefully you'll bring down the numbers some so they won't get nerved across the board

Afaik this is how it works, tested yesterday against bots. There are verbal warning given when you do friendly fire: don't fire on friendly vessels. If you hear this once you can still shoot, hear it twice or three times and you should be pink, next time the damage will be reflected. With torpedo's, they will count as one salvo most likely ( same with gun fire, salvo's count as one offense or so it seems while ripple fire will get you pink sooner ). So you might get away with friendly torps easier than friendly fire with your guns, as the amount of inflicted damage doesn't seem to influence how quickly one turns pink.

Why WG can't run Co-op games with more than 8 players?

Thanks I knew it but couldn't be arsed to look it up right now... @op -
Uhm sorry I know people with 98% wr in pve after ~200+ battles and you're claiming PVE is easy mode, doesn't matter if you think it's challenging that might be true for you but that doesn't mean it applies to everyone. PVE for the average player is easy mode, for good players it's not even that. If you're really bad at PVP you might find PVE as much as a challenge as one can handle but that is the only case I expect someone to genuinely find PVE 'engaging' so to say.

But that is the only saving grace of the AI, I mean tactically they are 'weak', the only thing they have going on is a semi decent hit ratio ( and atm even that isn't exactly on par with the best I meet in PVP, it's perhaps on my own level but there are players who can aim a whole lot better then the current iteration of bots ). I don't think people can even learn evasion against the AI, since the AI doesn't tactically engage you they just shoot at what is in range. Unless with evasion you mean; using the rudder

Who plays Mogami with 203's? Ibuki when I played her during cbt was a relieve, I couldn't get to grips with Myoko ( tier VIII at the time ) and I didn't enjoy Mogami at tier VII before it. And basically the ship are all mostly the same ( different turret configuration ), so I can get why people don't like her. But then I pressed battle and fired the guns and everything changed. I know it might be placebo but the arc on the 203's finally wasn't a wild guess for me anymore, I could hit ships more reliably and finally started to like 203's. This was in CBT. I'm at Mogami now and I'm doing far better in both Myoko and Mogami then I did in CBT. which means if things keep in line with previous progression, when I get Ibuki I should be able to get a reasonable avg dmg with her again Ibuki has weak armor and the turret layout makes it 'ackward' to keep at a good angle in all engagements, but it has very good torps and the guns pack a punch, so prevent getting focused fired play it like a sniper / ambusher ( with torps ).

Destroyers - is 'smoking' it up a selfish habit?
mtm78 replied to Shaka_D's topic in General Discussion
Little man, it's only [edited] in your mind because you can't read. They were stationary before being spotted, they were covered in smoke but enemy kept shooting at expected place and sunk them. If this is over your head, please go read some threads about game mechanics. Or you want to tell me I'm talking bs as well?
