I would be in favor of a formula to calculate a player's 'worth' in a battle but there is no formula yet available. There is no reward for spotting, and a DD who spots targets for his team can be invaluable ( same for a carrier which parks his fighter over a DD ) for one. When all factors are known and tangible, there can be a discussion by some brighter minds than me about how all those numbers correlate to a players 'weight'. Until then, using XP would suit me fine in ranked battles but that can be 'cheated' as well ( as I can get XP by not going for a game objective but concentrating on damage ). In the end, the objective of the game is those goals ( cap/kill/defend ) and not (spotted)damage/xp so win rate in that light makes a lot of sense. edit: Sorry but those fluctuations you're wanting to rule out are actually part of normal statistical occurrences/results

Only time this happened to me iirc has been on PT server, whole population got disconnected ( looked like a router on their network failed not the game server ). On live there has been massive lag on entire team but never did the connection reset on the entire team ( let alone population ). What you can deduct from that I'll leave open for interpretation.

There is always a potential for something to slip through ST but it's pretty rare I dare to say Though if you're talking about higher than usual server load / traffic which might or might not coexist with a higher than usual latency and/or generic connectivity problems, it's unlikely anyone would say you're off the mark edit: New login screen it seems and new background in port I heard according to the rumors we went from closed beta to release just now

If virustotal count is low, and the hits are heuristic based ( with names like 'generic' for instance ), ignore them as heuristic scans are by design known to have false positives. I don't ever believe Aslain himself would upload malware infected files, it would make no sense, but anything hosted on a publicly accessible server is a potential target for others who might change the content to serve their own needs so just use common sense when downloading anything.

Ectar the best thing which can happen after your explanation is that 'we'/eu community get's some announcements about upcoming eu events/contests asap. Until then nobody will be really happy, but when 'we' see we're not 'forgotten' the reasons as to why it's been like it is now will be clear to everyone ( more manpower needed in EU team ). And it might sting a bit that this isn't a 'new' issue ( the openings have been there for quite some time already ) and that we would have liked it resolved a whole lot sooner, but when EU team get's into gear I have no doubt the community will be looking at things from a whole different perspective. edit: ^

The 'issue' with rendering atm is most noticable when running a browser with multiple tabs with flash content. Each tab will reserve some gpu memory and while they don't tax the gpu since they are in the background, I do get massively lower fps when I load a browser with 10 twitch tabs for instance. In how far this is the game's issue or just a flash ( adobe ) issue, well imo the latter as they should not reserve gpu memory for background applications imo.

I got a Cleveland captain who I retrained with AB and Sims ( both ships I don't play a lot ) and I did play some games with Cleve before training was done but even at tier 6 it's a big disadvantage if your captain doesn't have basic skills. I would have dropped my skill progression for 70%, retrained for Cleveland, and then used the remaining points to set up new skills, if it were possible. Would remove one of the more frustrating aspects of the game right now imo.

Because on higher tiers, retraining even with 50/50 means I have to use a premium ship for a lot of matches before the captain gets his skills back. In WoT you can retrain for silver all crew skills and by dropping for silver you can retrain for different tank by losing some of the xp for perks.

When I said I wanted accelerated crew training ( as a jest.. ) I was asked why. I said: because people on the forums wantz it! But seriously, why do you need the option for something which is already in the game? Your captain get's the EXACT SAME amount of XP as your ship, doesn't matter if your ship is elited or not. The bigger issue is not being able to retrain captains for credits ( I don't mean the 50/50 option, but a credit equivalent to the 500 gold instant retraining ).

Yes I will play, with Cleveland ( still leveling captain for 20% range skill ), Myoko ( will probably retrain my top captain currently on Mogami ) and maybe Sims, Aoba if the other sheeps are not available.

This. And that if someone has 20k higher avg damage while playing the same tier ships as me WITHOUT playing carriers, I will think he's doing something better then me. But if a significant number of his games are done in a carrier, then I won't consider his higher then mine average damage that surprising. Just saying, a leaderbord with just avg damage or win rate says almost nothing while a leaderboard with class distribution already says a lot more. Both sites have merit, both methods are alright on their own, it's my personal preference to use the one over the other, nothing more nothing less

Another option since you said you didn't really care about the clan nor is it in any way active would be to leave the clan ;) Would also enable you to join some active one and get some more buddies to play with o7

I know some people with terrible stats, just lost two games because TWO 40 and 41% wr players cut me off so I couldn't angle my cruiser to avoid being broadsided by a battleship. TWICE! in a row. And twice they got ~40% win rate! BAH, WG gives leagues now plox!

Wrong Players leaderbord Last one shows numbers of games in each class which is relevant to interpret the stats ;)
