    Statistically however it was of no or very little importance, as if it were as effective and widespread as proclaimed the over hit ratio of all players should have seen a noticeable increase. And I been told there was none, even if that doesn't corresponds with how I perceived the gameplay during those days compared to before and after. As I posted before, the biggest problem isn't even the fact that a few might shoot better using crutches but that each time I meet someone who has a good game against me I have to doubt if it was player influence or crutches like an aim indicator, same when I have a good game I don't want to see accusations of aim mod's in chat every other game. The toxicity this particular cheat has produced is measurable the last time, this time I hope less because WG is on top of it a lot quicker with stating it's not allowed ( and making sure it's no longer to be found through official forum + removing the YT video's ). That is the large issue here, that the fun factor dissolves when one is in doubt constantly if one is fighting a human player or an augmented one who is using illegal modifications.
  5. WG should sell them full Ports, locked to coop only, but no grinding and all rewards.... And that for a mere 50 large one's That would leave the 'gameplay doesn't matter' folks out of pvp. where gameplay does matter

    Tbf, they did do something already: had legal department take down the video's, moderators removed links to it from forum and staff posted using the mod is illegal and they will condone no gameplay changing mods now and in the future. But I think you mean disabling the mod entirely

    I still have it but I am such a noob I couldn't even get it to work in test environment ( not saying it doesn't work, it does, I know it does from trusted others, but I couldn't get it running in the time I allocated to trying )

    You're poll lacked options to differ from cheats and mods until the edit which is clearly biased. Now there are at least options indicating you want mods ( or current mods incorporated into vanilla game / improved UI ) but not cheats.

    Doesn't work anymore which is great imo as it was a cheat since it gave a large part of a consumable to everyone permanently after installing the mod.

  14. I'm sorry but a Cleveland played well and surviving should have way more hits then 92 let alone 76. Those are BAD games in my book, doesn't matter you got some kills on low hp targets you probably did like 30k damage?

    Actually good players don't need to cheat to be good? Off course some wannabies will try to look like good players by cheating, but it will bite them in the [edited]when they fall through the gaps when WG closes down on this mod as well. And frankly, it's true: bad players are more prone to cheat to hide how bad they are.

    I am doubting, even if you close it word is out already. Better keep one thread open then having multiple pop up tomorrow and the day after and so on. I would like a moderator to edit the OP and include a link to Ev1n's post in it, but locking is counter productive imo.

    Some people get confused, sometimes I also can't make out what you mean as it sometimes isn't what I expected. In this case, it wasn't clear really because it wasn't directly relevant to the thread. Yes, if you get 200xp with the new calculations, please uninstall the game, no one not even WG will miss you ( as there is no way in hell you can get 200 when also paying for anything like premium or flags ). But we're talking about 6k xp not being representative of the actual performance off OP and him pointing out the current calculations are mainly BS. If I miss an X3 event, am I suddenly worse than others who did play and boosted their XP? Or is WG saying: XP isn't a measure of performance but of contribution to WG treasure chambers? Ofc that's the far end of the scale and not really what I think they want to show off with the new concept, but I also can't say for sure what they do want to say with it Ammatimies and OP both are very right.

    I got to the Fletcher in CBT, the whole line that far was ok but I admit even I did it mainly because I wanted the chaingun that is Gearing more then because of how fun the whole line was to play. Fletcher was also quite good, as far as DD's at tiers above 5 are ever good ( maybe not even the planes on their own but the spotting distance of the torps mainly which is what actually spikes after tier 5 along with rof ( IJN )). I unlocked Mutsuki to maybe play it in ranked, but it's so bad compared to Minekaze ( even now with nerved visibility and the shorter (faster!) range torps ). I might not play it any more. I do look forward to playing the low tier USN DD's, but I don't expect to go high enough to replace my Sims as top tier USN DD ( until something is done to increase DD viability in high tier games ).

    I was telling him the same, but it all boils down to one thing: he has access to all statistics and there was no global rise in hit ratio across the playerbase. Which doesn't correspond to my perception, which was the same as yours: it was noticeable, noobs were hitting me ( saying this on purpose, but bear with me ) and whole game had no skill requirement because noobs could click the X and land citadel hits. Problem is, since that mod has been disabled by locking off python access, those 'noobs' still hit me. They still land citadel shots. Less frequent you might say; and I might concur in that it 'feels' better now but again I don't have access to the numbers but those who do state they don't show changes. I have to trust that communication isn't done only from PR stance, so I concluded that it might be more a problem of perception then in actual numbers. Because the sad thing is, any existing aim mod will do multiple things: those who use it are getting an unfair advantage over those who don't ( measurable, not been said to occur with previous aim mod ), those who get hit suspect people who are hitting them from using it ( measurable, confirmed by community that toxicity in chat increased a lot during that time ), those who have good games without using it will get attacked in chat because they are suspected to use it ( measurable, confirmed by community that toxicity in chat increase a lot during that time ). I think the last two problems are actually bigger than the first one. Which makes me scared. I use mods ( cross hair, minimap, team list, icon's/consumables, skins ) and I'm fearing for how WG will ( have ) to respond to this. Python access has been locked down because of unwanted modifications, now a similar mod appears to be back using Flash/actionscript. But if you block flash modifications, a lot of the mods I use which aren't problematic are also no longer possible. Am I willing to give up all those mods if it makes the game a level playing field for everyone, which will lower toxic chat/behavior? Maybe, I certainly would if we had more in game crosshairs to choose from, if we had the option to show ship names on the minimap, and if we could get a team list with ship names instead of plain icons ( not the tab summary, but the in battle team panels ), if we could maybe even have a multi line ship carrousel in port.. and many others will have their own preferences.

    Ow I didn't say we should allow any external aim assist, there already is a built in target tracker that is enough.     There is only one thing more important then aiming and that is situational awareness. If you don't know the maps and objectives you can have a 80% hit ratio but still be mostly useless for your team.

    I don't think such generalizations are in place, I would sooner say more people from Eastern Europe / RU region tick the following boxes: 1; enough education to understand how to tinker with the game files 2; enough free time to do so. Employment rates are lower there, I know there are quite a lot of pretty well educated people from there who don't have a job, or have a job 'flipping burgers' so to speak. Even the last group, over educated for their jobs, is more prone to use their intellect in other fields if they can't apply it at their work place. You're generalizing so much, and you're even jumping from 'a PL player made it' to 'PL people like to cheat. It wouldn't surprise me after reading that, if you also admitted voting UKIP.

    I will admit it doesn't work ( in the environment I tested it in ;) ). Does that suffice? I heard from others who tested on live that it's really buggy even there and that it seems to be really 'unpolished' but the basics seems to be in place. I will also admit I think this game is more fun without any aim assist existing for it, and that there is no excuse for WG to allow one as the perception it creates is bad. Even if only 1k people actively use it, each time I get citadelled from max range I will hesitate to say: good shot! Instead I will think: was he cheating or was it a good shot/rng? Or when I have a good game, I don't want to read chat going on about how I'm 100% using this and that aim mod from the forums. It kills the fun factor.

    Actually that's borderline racism.. East EU / RU has a very large and competitive player base which is why I recon have the most people working on this.
