If you mean around 2:50? We can't see rudder and engine settings sadly in replays, but you should have been able to just keep turning right and clear the border without needing to reverse, though on the other hand you did hit the border while going really slow already ( < 10kts ).

Not sure, discussion is being held on NA forum that much I do know ( guy from warshipstats.com posted about site here, I don't have an NA account so if the discussion is only taking place there then I'm not that interested ). Not sure, WoWs is much more about situational awareness then WoT. I think having a player rating visible in game would actually give me a lot more benefits than it does with tanks, with tanks I'm often already committed. I also highly depends on the class, if I'm for instance the best player in the team and everyone is trying to shoot me, but I'm in a 47kts dd at 12km+ weaving like a boss, XVM or no XVM will not help anyone. But if you're in a slow big BB and your name is Sharana ( or Mister_Greek ), you can't dodge my CA fire and you can't run away from me ( you can kill me though, it's not like you don't have options, but they are more limited ).

I actually wouldn't like that compared with this, if AI takes over the rudder and you get broadsided you'll be pissed at the AI blaming that, if you have manual control it's not that easy to find something else to blame than yourself ( and yes, I am aware that no matter the effort involved, some will actually find reasons outside themselves for any problem ).

The analogy was the best I could come up with ( bear with me, my brains are quite scrambled atm, more than normal the doc says! ). I was trying to point out that you can boost dmg relatively easy compared to win rate. Even kills ( or k/d ), by just adjusting your playstyle accordingly. But you won't be more effective in winning the game if you do that, even if you can concentrate on boosting that particular stat. If my CA is in division with a good BB, I expect to get a lot less dmg but a lot more kills, as I will be finishing of the low hp targets and let the BB deal the high dmg rolls on the high hp targets. Since I'm in a division and I'm quite sure the BB will actually play to his role as I envision, this works out in wr as well. But if you're in a totally random team, it's a lot harder. So I see your point, I'm just saying that while considering it a solo game might work for you, actual team effort is still the most contributing factor in winning the game.

Do you have a replay? The cooldown before the speed degrades should be far long enough to get away from the border unless you were lacking situational awareness ( which I think you actually have enough off ). So my guess is you just need to adjust to the time you have before the engines start cutting out.

The reward for actually considering it a team game is winning more matches, not getting more credits or xp. Lacking reward system, probably, but they are looking at it ( spotting damage, increasing xp for AAA cover ). If you play as solo game you can have very good damage if you're not a bad shot and you play passive letting your team soak up the damage first, but everyone will hate you like the spoiled little fat kid on the block who never wants to share his candy. Sometimes the kid even gets a wedgie, the WoWs equivalent of a blue on blue torpedo where the sun don't shine, because sometimes bullies meet bigger bullies.

Did you try running the launcher instead of the client directly, just to make sure you're not missing any (micro) patches? If launcher says you're up to date, either Nokelli is correct and your client is busted or your account isn't activated yet.

His account is new, might be it's not activated yet ( I've noticed several messages in the client being wrong with this patch, like when I needed to update to 5.0.3 I got the message I couldn't connect, when I should have gotten the message the client is older than the server ). My bet is still either connectivity or account issue. edit: stagline, open a command line and ping login.worldofwarships.eu If you can, you can open a ticket with support they might be able to help with activating the account but on the other hand it should sort itself most likely even before support would reply ( still can be worth the time, for when something still goes wrong and your account isn't activated for some reason ).

I was having a bit of a poke, it's always fun to see how self proclaimed wows unicums respond to a questioning of their superior skillz Anyway, we used the in game chat channel Forumites for quick divisions without the need for voice coms ( though we can be on the official ts if we want or a clan ts ). Not everyone is 'unicum' level there, some are superunicums, and some are utter naabs like me Mostly because as you say, we are often all in different wot clans ( which might or might not be also active in WoWs but there is no clan related game modes yet ). Unicum's in WoWs, really? You're probably a unicum BB captain, but you're not stellar in your other classes, I think you would be a bluenicum ( if not, the formula should be adjusted ( btw, there is no real standardized working final measurement for WoWs )).
