    But is it even fun then seeing the playerbase for what it is if you can do 80%+ a session with a good division Yeah I meant just mentally. Check your indicators and ignore your win rate. Besides those divisions you already ruled out it's the only way to not get stressed out. But, this also makes the game more toxic for others since people who focus on their indicators might not be focusing on the victory. Double edged sword.

    I understand the frustration, I feel it sometimes as well. And while 78 is statistically a small number, if your average game would last 15 minutes, that's still a lot of time invested in something you don't feel happy about. So hearing and even knowing that it's statistically possible to get these sequences does not always make it more fun to experience them. Even more because it's not my WR I care about at all, it's the joy I take in not losing games which I feel I didn't have to. And seeing yourself improve so much, and yet get so few return in games where you feel this improvement has an influence on the battle, that is pretty much not what a game should be. I think this is also why WG is focusing a bit on more pvp content as I read somewhere, I just hope it's not 'ranked' or 'ranked sprints' they are thinking about as gameplay enjoyment there isn't better as in randoms ( for me at least ). Ranked has the problem of people not playing to win but first to not lose a star ( that is why I quit playing it pretty fast, not what I find enjoyable at all don't care about the rewards ), which is imho the same atm with randoms. To many people play just for their own damage, and not for a victory, because it's that damage which gives them credits and it does not matter if they win or loose. Playing the operations with my old clan, it might not be as good for grinding if you don't have ships eligable which you need to grind anyway, but it might take your mind off the frustration a bit so I recommend doing those in between. Idk, I have a hard time finding motivation myself at times, I keep playing because I like the ships I own and I don't want to waste all my investments :)

    It isn't mine either, don't worry ;) Nah I meant with less mitigation that they aim faster and can turn more without throwing off their aim, which makes them much harder to dodge partially ( mitigate their damage ). Them having an extra pass isn't even that bad, any other CV can still wreck you by just keeping a plane near to spot you and not use it to strike. Or that is how it feels to me, maybe they do use more planes per strike as well which would explain why you always take more damage from them. And the noobtube has to do with just the ease of use and it's effect ( which for a noobtube is always: easy to use, devastating effect ). I think it's from CoD4's grenade launcher attachment, but even before games had them ( just with different names ). WG is seemingly only looking at effect, and comments regarding ease of use are seemingly largely ignored. But, since I complained about Enterprise and found out in which way she is entirely special, I haven't had that big of an issue with CV attacks ruining my games. It's just Enterprise which really feels unbalanced to play against, and I should apologize for going REE about entire REEwork based on an unbalanced premium like Enterprise. For what it's worth, I'm glad it's no longer in store ;)

    @Floofz I took the liberty to look at your overview on wows-numbers, and I do see that your recents are higher tier as your average First of all, you're a good player. All your stats are good, it's only WR which is lacking. Stats can be misleading. Dmg going up ( tiers a bit as well ) doesn't have to correlate with winning more games if your damage is less effective for instance.. but that isn't it as your kills per game and kills per death are all going up. The thing which remains though is sample size. 78 games is not that much in a random sequence. Same for my overall win rate, I been claiming it's just rust but it might be self correction as well. What remains then is that we both have to accept it will fluctuate. The only way to limit those fluctuations btw is to division, not only does it ensure at least one or two other people are somewhat more capable as the average player, it also makes playing less frustrating. Also, you shouldn't worry about wr so much, credits are the same in a win or loss and even while your wr has gone down in those 78 games, your avg xp has gone up. Look at the bright side, anyone who understands the numbers will know you're a good player.

    I don't think I follow your point there. A Noobtube is something which you aim in a general direction and which always does something ( often to much even ). Like a ... rpg in some old pvp online shooter ). Noobtube's are terrible game design, as they are only in the game so bad players can do something which makes them feel less bad. And what I argued above is not the same thing, I am saying that the damage from flak/continuous dps should be balanced around the best players, while still leaving the worst players a small window to not loose all their planes in one flak cloud. That is not even directly related to the damage output, just to how CV players perceive AAA. No, but good players should be able to mitigate more as a bad player, and a bad player should be able to mitigate less AAA ( preferably AAA / flak which is thrown up by sector reinforcement.... so there is actual skill involved ). Yes they are, again, less mitigation. And more planes.
  9. No, there are 'people' who torpedo from second line.... you CAN NOT INTENTIONALLY EAT FRIENDLY TOPEDOES, THERE ARE NO FRIENDLY TORPEDOES LAUNCHED FROM SECOND LINE PERIOD.

    Playing good is reflected in win rate, karma has nothing to do with it. People give compliments for being social, or because you risk yourself to help them ( which isn't always what is needed to make sure the team wins ). Feels weird reading people actually thinking a social feature represents how well they are doing in a game.

  12. So you think that because the DD is going one way, he should keep going one way because you find it needed to launch torps? Any time you launch torps and there is someone who CAN RUN INTO THEM, even if he has to STOP OR DO 180, it's YOUR FAULT NOT HIS. PERIOD. You're behind him, he is closer to the enemy and he SHOULD NOT EVER HAVE TO THINK ABOUT ANYONE SITTING SAFELY BEHIND HIM. Perhaps* it is not. But you did, and you just repeated it. There is no physical way for a DD to run into torps which have been launched SAFELY. A DD can not teleport himself in font of torpedoes. ANY TIME you hit an ally with torps, it's your fault. Dropping in lines like: "well he did a 180" shows you do not understand and it's not a language barrier. Just because an ally doesn't APPEAR TO BE ON THE EXACT COURSE TO INTERCEPT, does not mean it's safe. No one besides those on coms can know if the DD would LIKE TO KEEP THE OPTION TO MAKE A TURN OR EVEN DO AN 180. And that DD is the one closer. So if you hit him with torps there is no :" but he turned into them". It DOES NOT EXIST, the only thing which exists in those situations is -> No. Just NO. Still the fault of the one launching ALWAYS. I dread the day that this game needs to become like tanks with no friendly damage just so .......... can torp from second line without penalty. It would utterly disgust me.

If you don't torp from behind me I can turn in different directions that's the whole point. I HATE reading this crap here, this is what made community so craptastic at times. You have me on coms, fine ask me if you can launch. You don't have me on coms -> YOU NEVER EVER LIMIT WHAT SHIPS CLOSER TO THE ENEMY AS YOU CAN DO IN TERMS OF TURNING OUT FROM THE ENEMY. PERIOD. EXCLAMATION MARK. You want to launch those torps so badly, you better be in front of me, not behind me when I AM TAKING THE RISKS and you think you can LEECH DAMAGE FROM SAFETY and even ENDANGER me? I've turned around and gone pink in other ways against people who thought like that. DO NOT TORPEDO FROM SECOND LINE. And if you, don't claim it's not your own fault if you turn pink. Or a DD might suddenly send some fish back at you. jezus this gets my blood boiling. edit: sorry caps, and @lovelacebeer it's not personal, just reading that line thrown in there will give some ,.,,, readers the idea that it's normal to torp from second line and it's the responsibility of the one in front to dodge. It is not, not by any means.
  15. You mean you deliberately took the risk of missing the enemy and hitting your allies. Don't make excuses, man up and just do not do it again. And if you, don't complain it's their fault, just eat it. Like I tk'd a FdG yesterday because I paniclaunched all my Neptune torpedoes at a blob of rushing enemies without thinking he would actually sail straight into them. I said sorry, and then he died and the game was over. I was pink for 2 games, and that's it. It's never your team's fault if they 'sail in your torps' even if I sometimes think some people might be very speshul and enjoy deliberatly blocking torpedo angles just because they want a piece of the same pie and don't want you to eat it all.

    Nope, I just found out that you can only rig MM by playing just premium ships. *ymmv it may depend on which ships in which order and which opponents they would meet, as well as on the alignment of Neptune and Uranus

    And if the skill is to low and becomes something automated and not offer ways to mitigate, you'll lose players who think those kind of game mechanics do not belong in an AAA tittle.

    And they went wrong there already, as good CV seems to be able to negate flak for the most part while bad CV player seems to be claiming flaks murders their planes. Good CV should not be able to avoid most, and bad CV player should ideally stop playing git gud but if not still be able to do something to avoid some. No, I don't need a noobtube thank you. Even if it does bad damage, if it's that easy it's because you can't mitigate it at all and that is the worst kind of gamedesign in pvp. Still a big fat nope from me. I find her rocket attack toxic to my lolibotes.

    My own replays are already associated with 64 bit client so that shouldn't be it? I can see my own last game just fine. Maybe I need 32bit.. edit: 32bit worked thanks @Panocek though would be nice to see same match from @GulvkluderGuld perspective, just seeing cv perspective isn't as insightful :) And don't forget, you balance around the best of the best, not the average. Because balancing around average just leaves loopholes for the better players which they will find and exploit to the fullest. An average CV having issues with a good DD player is not a sign of balance, even if it's reassuring as I have screenshots from CV players I met recently which have 15% higher wr in their CV's compared to the other classes ( and they were new players, from after RTS ).

    It's still his pinned guides, even when he hasn't been around in years :( I miss the old guard, I miss the old historical reenactments we did, I don't like submarines, I don't like CV rework impact on meta, hell tbh I was going to play right now but I think I'm going to focus on watching the soccer game :/
  23. But he is not wrong, 100k dmg is 100k dmg if done to the same targets in a win or a lose situation. You're both just focusing on different parts of the same ( incomplete ) statement.
