  2. And yet, win rate is tangible, you can't measure fun And perhaps you're right, perhaps it's a 'feature' to make you spend some money to skip a turd, or elite it and skip a stock configuration. If that pisses you off, keep playing your other ships until you get enough free xp to do the same ( I mean FREE xp, not the kind you still need to convert ). Yes will take you a long time, but it's possible, without paying money, to skip ships/configurations. If you're not up to that task, and just want to complain there is a turd in a line, be my guest, but know you're one a dozen and you won't be changing anything.
  3. I didn't participate in ranked season one, so if you say USN DD's are more valuable there I will take your word for it. I will still stick with my previous post, in randoms Kageroo DOES NOT NEED TO USE GUNS ( unless to finish off very low hp targets ). Yes you get spotted when you do it, and that's not what you want, you are the eyes of your team in a high cammo DD and you can use torps which don't increase your spotting distance to deal your own damage. If you want to use guns on your DD, you should play other nations then IJN. And especially in ranked, I would expect a team to actually support a Kageroo so it wouldn't have to use it's guns to start with. It's not the role it's intended for.

Let's see how they keep performing, and take into account how long it took for Furutaka to get a buff even while it was underperforming for quite some time. And it wasn't one ship we're talking about, maybe you didn't read the quote through? There are turds in every line, there is no WG conspiracy against Germany.     It really sounds like packet loss, it's not a game issue but a network issue, either locally at WG, somewhere between you and WG, or at your local network. To find that problem you have to use pingplotter. How can be a Pingplotter report helpful? ( not my spelling, sorry ;) ) How do I create a PingPlotter report?

Stop crying, if you're doing bad in them it's not because of the ships. It's also funny that such a post is ignored, yet if someone posts something negative, there is always someone ready to jump on the bandwagon.

    Battleship Commander Skills

    Superintendent on a BB is a must, there are no equally valuable skills for reasons mentioned above. Superintendent on a top tier CA is also a must, because it not only gives you an extra heal but also one extra AAA consumable ( or spotter plane if you got a Senjou and you kamp a lot like some stranger(s123) ).
  8. The game isn't based on damage alone, especially DD's can win games ( game objectives -> cap points or kill ships, not 'kill all ships' ). He explained in OP how it's very good for contesting cap points due to cammo, and can lure out enemy DD's for allies ( again due to cammo ). A well played Kageroo is an enormous asset to my team and if I'm in a CA I will support it completely. A Fletcher will not spot enemy IJN DD's, and hidden DD's are dangerous. I want my allied DD's to spot enemy DD's so we can kill those asap. Yes, planes can do it as well but not every match has a carrier and most carriers consider scouting/spotting a secondary objective after doing damage. Tactically, I've won games in a DD without killing a single ship or even landing a torp, just by giving my allies notice where everyone was, by capping points, by area denial because BB's don't like hidden DD's, so all this 'but the dmg is worse so it's crap' is totally missing that this game isn't about damage. edit: not saying I find Kageroo a good DD, honestly I don't have much experience with her. I do know her stats and I know how it can affect a battle, but I am stuck at Mutsuki and not looking forward to going up the line atm. For me, all high tier DD's aren't as much fun atm, I loved my Sims in CBT but I haven't touched it in a long time ( the shell arc is terrible, it feels useless ) for instance. High tier DD's imo could all use some love.
  9. Atago got it because it was underperforming. My Atago stats were aok before but they were mostly from the 'happy days' when it was just released and only met other high tier premiums not tier X bb's. My Mogami stats are a bit better then my Atago stats ( though since the buff, I played Atago a bit more and let's just say the buffs seem to work ;) ), so your proposal to buff Mogami because Atago got buffed doesn't make much sense. And yes, Mogami does struggle recently, the HE dmg appears lower and further back there been a nerf to the fire chance of the 155mm configuration. I certainly feel it when playing. Also what you're forgetting is that Mogami for instance also fights tier 6 ships. Do you think Aoba will think Mogami needs a heal? Against a Fuso, ofc if you give your broadside you should die quickly even against a two tier lower BB, this can't be used as argument as BB's are intended to do this to cruiser captains who expose their broadside. So sticking only with CA vs CA, you can't give tier 8's a heal as that would make them overperform heavily when top tier. You could argue there is already such a sudden incline/power creep due to tier IX and X having the ability compared to tier VII and VIII it can meet. To that I actually would agree. I would even go as far as agreeing with giving a heal to CA's at lower tier IF statistics show they need it. Giving cruisers the ability doesn't mean they should recover the same amount of hp, that way they wouldn't instantly be OP for instance, and it would add some more depth so CA gameplay at mid-high tier. But as I indicated earlier, imo that wouldn't just be a case of giving all tier 8's the ability since this would mean they would likely overperform when top tier. edit: I should have read the entire thread before posting

    More like 300 meters, RU dd's get a higher penalty to detectability when firing their guns compared with all other DD's. I don't like Gnevny, because I have Gremmy and I do ok in her ( DD's are already less powerful than in early days due to increase in amount of planes in the air ) and Gnevny is just worse. I'm not saying she is bad, if/when I would get used to her she would be really good I bet, but I constantly think I'm in a Gremlin not a Gnevny and it just doesn't handle like one. I am used to make small course changes to throw enemy aim off and to help my own aim when my turrets are not fast enough, but it just handles that much worse on Gnevny. I also have 8% or so hit ratio on torps, which isn't good but still sunk me a nice amount of ships and gave me quite a lot of damage. The 4km torps go so much against my play style I don't think I ever used them on Gnevny. In short: Gnevny is no where near Gremlin, not in stats but also not in play style.

    The thing is, it's not just about end tier content. If you don't like the lower tiered ships and only want to play tier IX and X you better be good enough ( which in WoWs afaik is less off a possibility even for really good players ). If you're not, accept you will have to keep some lower tiers to grind cash with, or even tier VIII premium(s) since these still come closest to the gameplay you find in top tiers. If you can't, or won't, do that, you will run broke. And I got no sympathy for anyone who complains about it. Because, you can't as game publisher make it profitable to run only end game content. That would bleed the game dry on the lower tiers, and lower tiers are what attracts new players, not end tier content. This is why WG caters to mid tiers as well, in TC and SH you don't need to run end tier content to enjoy those parts of the game. Ofc end tier content has it's appeal, mostly because you can't be bottom tier and can feed off two tier lower ships ( even if the difference in tier effectiveness is way less than in WoT for example ). But that doesn't mean it should be possible to use exclusively.
  12. 35s reload means you need CL/CA support against DD's, it's also slow so you can't run away to give yourself more time, and your turret traverse means you should avoid knife fighting to start with anyway. So yeah, while I been playing Imperator a LOT lately, it does have a high frustration level. There will be games where you don't feel you can trust your team to support you and you will have to play quite passive, this sucks especially if the CL/CA's are actually good and won't die but kill the enemy before you can even get into range. I've had two or three games where I did maybe 5k damage because i was late to the party. Avg is ~58k dmg though so plenty of better games to compensate. I've oneshot Omaha's, Furutaka's, Aoba's and a 80% cleveland once, it's a perfect CA hunter at medium to max engagement ranges.

    XVM... for WoWs?

    1. XVM displays both WN8 ( heavilly dmg dependant ) as win rate, so your example is bogus. It doesn't apply to XVM it applies to people playing for WN8 which would do so without XVM. 2. In WoT, you will have higher dmg if you use only premium ammo since you should get less bounces ( unless you're a muppet who shoots heat at tracks ) and thus you will have higher WN8, but since you can buy all premium consumables ( afaik, last few patches haven't paid attention ) for silver it's not PAY2WIN or PAY4RATINGS. ----------------------------- In general: I posted this already I think, if not -> https://github.com/wows-stats/wows-stats Closest thing to XVM atm for WoWs, install requirement is kind of steep for most I bet. It's also notable that it's not a mod, it doesn't work inside the game, it uses your temp.wotreplay to get player names and looks up statistics which is displays in a browser window you can/should put on a secondary/tertiary screen.
  14. Ow yes sure, everyone can have an opinion. How much that opinion is worth to others depends on a lot of things. Things which in this case seem to be lacking. Like understanding the game mechanics, since after all, according to him it's W and S-D and click mouse, nothing else.

    Nope, 'working as intended' Only after you're pink and continue to do more team damage you will get the damage reversed. And this takes a long time ( I tested this not on live server, no players were hurt to come to these findings ). The thing is though, it seems to take quite a lot of time to revert back from reaching that stage ( eg > 5 matches after last team damage I am still pink, and I still take damage myself for any damage to allies ). Considering 5 matches can last 20 minutes each, that's a lot of playtime while being pink and taking damage from 'accidental' team damage. I would rather see the grace period before turning pink lower, the grace period in which one is pink but is still capable of inflicting team damage lower, and then perhaps the time spend in the last 'group' keeping as it is now. It's these two initial grace periods which cause the 'unfair' perception of the system, and tuning it is obviously difficult.
  17. If you played 26 battles and didn't like the game, why you still posting on this forum? Go play some other game, and go post on some other forum is you got nothing to say but 'it's crap'. If you have a reason as to why it's crap, that's called feedback. Feedback can be used to initiate changes, but off course, developers can't work with "It's crap'

    Imperator Nikolai I (Boost/Balance)

    Yup, ofc if they ( planes ) keep turning with you, eventually they will get to a optimal launch position but usually carrier captains don't have the patience and they will drop to soon enabling you to evade most if not all. The only problem is the downside of the upside of bleeding speed quickly; it also accelerates slowly, so if you slow down to evade drop X and carrier has multiple wings you will eat drop Y completely because slow speed -> can't make turns. But, as you pointed out, it's the best BB at tier 4-5 to deal with drops if you discount ability to shoot down planes. If you team up Imperator with a good Yubari captain, you're as close as playing god mode can come imo.
  19. ST is just a bonus tag I get from being allowed to sacrifice my free time to help test changes/additions to the game, but it doesn't stop me from being a player, just like everyone else

  22. I agree the game would benefit a lot from a gamemode where we can choose who to play with. I've ragequit a few times the past days because of mouthbreathers in my team.

    You don't need AAA on Impregnator. And yes I do know what I am talking about, I have one and I do quite ok with it. Without AAA even, and meeting tier 6 CV's. I can evade most single drops because of the turning circle and a lot of CV captains being bad at manual drops. Like yesterday the enemy CV's had to gang up on me and do proper X drops to finally start doing damage as I already evaded 3 previous drops eating 1 torpedo only. There might be a lack of AAA, and she might be slow, but if you time it right you can bleed speed and change course really quickly.
  24. That was my big hope, tailer missions to reward team play. But this time at least, it's rather selfish.
