Tell that to my Imperator Tbh though, I get the same win rate with Arkensaus and no one ever complained that thing is OP
-
Did you read that from official WG statement? Answer is no. Or if yes, you read something applying to tanks, not ships. At no time has WG said that premium ships should be weaker than regular one's in an official statement that I am aware off. Btw, I am not discussing 'IF' they should be, I am merely stating the fact that afaik there has never been a statement regarding 'superiority' in premium vs regular ships.

Because aiming takes skill and I don't want crapplayers to be able to mimic my skill in aiming? If you don't want to spent the effort to learn the game, go play tic-tac-toe. If you are willing to spend the time but don't possess the skillset needed to be really good at it, be happy with not being very good at it or go play tic-tac-toe. However, you DO NOT, and I repeat, DO NOT, ask for cheat mods to be implemented in the game just because you're not willing or able to be as good as some others. That is just ffin pathetic thinking, really ffin hilarious. [edited]it doesn't work like that, good players who use this cheat can also use it to better predict turns, so this whole BS about 'it only works against noobs anyway' is getting old.

Problems with Nvidia Geforce experience/lost start up screen
mtm78 replied to Guns_Of_Fury's topic in Newcomers' Section
In your game folder there is a wowslauncher.exe, use that for updating. The Worldofwarships.exe directly launches the game. -
Suggestions should obviously go into gameplay discussions.... Right? edit: Also just to make something clear: my entry to this forum is a bookmark which took me to GD... GD was imo the soul of the community. Maybe gameplay can take it's place, I sure hope so, I expect it to even. To everyone who thinks it is BS is wg says a change was needed, I spend quite some time on this forum and especially in the early hours the entire front page of GD is filled with threads which are all being moved by moderators to other sections. No one seemed to post in the correct sections, this was a serious problem. You never hear the mods complain, but when the entire list of new threads in GD has the 'moved' icon in front of it, it surely indicates a problem.

Stranger's cinematic replays || 105 ZAO PLANE KILLS
mtm78 replied to strangers123's topic in Videos & Streams
And don't mind him picking just the most embarrassing replays he could think of which included me... like me having to spend half a game trying to kill a 58hp or something cruiser, he totally didn't do THAT on purpose -
Thx for the update +1

Petition Against Advanced Firing Training Getting Removed & Rant On How Range Isn't Everything
mtm78 replied to t3h3th32's topic in General Discussion
I just read a tittle which said range isn't everything. I was like... Then, I looked at his profile and I was like... edit: Ow, he also uses red text in his posts... -
Keep it up for the next 87 games

Let me just highlight the most important part

Atm you basically get an Ibuki at tier 8 with forward facing torps. My play style is conservative though, and those reasonable stats were pre-buff but also mostly from when it was exclusively top tier ( fighting Warspite's and Sims and the odd Atlanta ) ;) I think aggressive play would work pretty well with the heal ability but I still feel CA ( especially IJN ) should work at medium long to long distance.
-
I bought one the day it came out, I have reasonable stats in her and those are almost exclusively pre-buff
-
fixed the -1 someone gave you. Guess some Atago owners don't like it when people say it's OP I am pretty sure the majority of Atago's were sold prior to the buffs, but I could be wrong
-
Atago is borderline OP with recent buffs, if you're not happy with your credit income while playing her it's not the ship which is the problem ( PEBCAC problem ).
-
+1 for first giving simple facts without the need to bring up statistics. +2 for bringing up statistics when opposite side requires to be shown the error of their ways. +3 for explaining + and - rep's are worth a whole lot less then just being right ( or wrong ). It is really relevant because of how being a 'good' versus a 'bad' player ( in a particular ship even ) can greatly influence how much weight someone's opinion has. Surely you will agree that someone who can't actually play the game correctly might be free to have and share his opinions on the game, the opinion of someone who can actually play the game/ship a lot better/more effective is worth 1000 times that of the one who can't. It's the same with people arguing with EsuTuaanen ( if I remember to spell the name correctly ) when talking about RU DD gameplay. I seen so many great games from the guy, his statistics are top notch and this indicates consistent performance, and he is friendly enough to share with others how he plays. And yet, some people come in saying: well you do X but I say Y is better ( because I do it.. ) and Z also. The thing is though I have to constantly remind myself that I can't play like him, I make too many wrong decisions and am not just consistent enough, so I play different, more conservative, and while not as good as him I still do good. The 'better' or even 'best' players are always right, their way is the best way, both for them and for general results. Otherwise they wouldn't be 'better'/'best' players. But, and most actually know this, they should realize that their way requires a particular skill set they posses, but others might not. So saying that a ship/setup should be played a certain way for optimal effect, yes, those players who have the statistics to show their statement are 100% correct, that still wouldn't always work with others. For others, playing in a different manner might give better results for them, because they choose a setup/engagement which matches their own skillset. The worst thing I ever done in any online gaming is trying to play exactly like the top players. Before you try and to that, you need to be able to understand why exactly that works for them, what are the things they are good in and how do they exploit that to the max. And then you need to be able to self analyze and make the call if you can mimic that or not, and if not why not ( since those differences will dictate which play style would then better suit your own ). ( sorry for wall of text, I got a bit lost there trying to say something simple in concept but maybe complex in how people will read it ( emotions, 'Dunning - Kruger' perhaps ( even from me )).

A couple of days back there was a friendly Atago which was spamming bad torps. I warned him in chat a couple of times, explained he had 10km range and his enemies would never be hit but he was making me have to avoid his torps and give my broadside to a bunch of CA's and BB's. He didn't listen. I reversed the roles, sailed behind his line and returned the favor while warning him in chat I would show him what his play forced me to do constantly. I hope he learned something, he did stop shooting torps from 3rd line that game ( he buggered off to the other side of the map though so I'm not 100% sure ). The best way to handle someone who clearly has no idea what he is doing is to inform him of it ( through chat ), it that doesn't work, show him otherwise, if that doesn't work: move away. Just leave spot where you're getting in trouble because of him. Yes you will loose games because of having to do that, but it's better than dying because some nitwit thinks he knows 'how to play the game'.

I agree, not many people have the skillset to be able to mimic his play style. I don't, not consistently anyway. EsuTuunanen is probably the best RU DD captain I had the pleasure of watching replays off, ofc I haven't seen the one's where he made lots of mistakes but judging from his statistical performance, like I said not many players can consistently do what he does. I still do ok with mine, I never felt as bad a RU DD player after having the misfortune of running into him ( and maybe it was 'bad luck' as well, but I constantly felt I was being forced into bad engagements and that was both impressive and highly frustrating to me. Normally I am the one who dictates engagements ( read - I'm usually a very conservative player which chooses damage over time with less risk over lots of quick damage with high risk ) So I agree, his playstyle is not something everyone should try and mimic, most of those who will try will do worse than playing in their own style. Still, listening to how he thinks about the game and it's mechanics should for everyone be something they should pay attention to.

Do you have a source? I recall them explicitly saying there would be 'sufficient' premium content available on launch but if they actually mentioned a number and not delivering on that number, well that wouldn't be nice

19 games might not say much for win rate but his dmg should not deviate much. -
JFC, when are you going to ban these effing intentional tk ?
mtm78 replied to AlwaysBadLuckWithTeams's topic in General Discussion
It is, but if WG does it it's ok ( and that is fair since it's their game remember ;) ). -
I really am at the point where I'd say that what has to be has to be... I would miss certain mods a lot though, but rather that then having aim assist for cheaters.
-
I'm undoing my happy dance, already felt a bit fishy last couple of days edit: and you already had a pm ;) edit2: But, since it was killed last time and it took quite a long time to come back, I trust WG will keep braking this cheat in ways which will be harder and harder to circumvent.

I will not say there aren't (many) afk people, but lately I seen many people in game who have troubles loading into a battle and will only start the game well after those ( who have the game on SSD ). Just saying, sometimes there are technical reasons and people are not afk by choice.
