Where is the system rock, paper, scissors?

Dear developer, scissors is OP, rock is fine. Regards, paper
  2. He already has the beard, why not make him a proper captain on the upcoming Scottish highlander shi(ee)ps! ^^^^^^ I admit, I watched and liked GuP after hearing so much about it on Jingles his channel. I watched DBZ off course, I mean that had the be the most 'westernised' manga so far ( gundam maybe to? ). And yesterday, I started watching Arpeggio and you know what; I might be an adult nearing 40, I still like it. If you don't understand what these 'cartoons' are meant to show, you will just see the outer layer but there is much more depth and background in most manga's ( except Strike Witches, that one imo is dominated by camel toe's to much ). It's a social and cultural difference which makes most Western people unable to grasp the hidden meaning and subtleties, this doesn't mean they are not there. If someone is not wanting to put effort into trying to understand something, fine, no one will force you to. But please, in general, don't diss something you clearly don't fully understand.
  3. I am out of +1 but I will try and remember this as I do feel you're 100% right on this one. Using something people can still visit is much more appealing then using ships which might have existed but are only known to a very select few. With this ship, people can look at the ship in game and log out, get in the car/train/what ever and go visit the ship in real life. That to me, adds a lot.

New Aim Mod (No, realy, this one is new)

No actually if you play the game long enough you can do this vanilla, no mods needed. Many if not most occasions where this happens will be just player skill and luck/rng. The problem with the aim mod is that it creates doubt, doubt leads to salt, salt leads to toxicity. edit: btw sorry BBV I'll try to give you less work instead of more edit2: Go take a look at Trigger_Happy_Dad's video's, I seen him getting accused of cheating lots of times.
  5. Thx for the reminder lol, I think I needed that one. I played my Pepsi yesterday in a full support role and came in third in the team ( posted ss in the thread ). Was it the best match I ever player, hell no not even close, but it was fun! Why was it fun, well because I asked the BB's to not camp, and they didn't. We had BB's asking our DD's to cap zone's, and they did. I had BB's asking me for air cover, and I tried to give it. Not everyone was maybe perfect in execution, but everyone was actively trying to pull their weight! I think VI and VII are still perfectly viable for the role, as long as you keep good situational awareness, but from VIII up you really should be more and more careful ( = conservative ) if you want to live throughout the end game.
  6. I don't like that, what is the purpose of the official forums if they use reddit and social media more than these forums I <3 the forums being the soul of the community, I feel like it's being gutted out atm.
  7. Go play your clickers, clicker

New Aim Mod (No, realy, this one is new)

So if I'm against aim assist but I don't use it but the 1% [edited][edited][edited] who do want to use it, and do actually use it, and according to you that is ok? No CHEATS in game period.
  9. It's not 'bad' players, it is about the border between bad players and trolls ( doing it on purpose ). You're right though, it is seal clubbing tiers But like I said, this person has the habit of running to a corner and staying there, even in division, and then laugh in chat when people get upset they are losing because some of the players in the team seem to enjoy the salt coming their way by deliberately throwing the matches. I am not capable of seeing this as a 'bad' player, he has to be doing it on purpose. SturmTiger304, but yes we neglected the channel a bit in the past and it might be empty a bit to often at the moment All the more reason to bring some life back into it though It doesn't work like that, you can have many 45% vs one 6x% for instance. And as I explained above, this person I seen throwing matches more than once, and with throwing matches I mean deliberately ignoring what their whole team is telling them to do, instead using chat to piss everyone off ( but 'legally' ofc, because they will claim just that; their 'baddies' and can' be blamed for doing stupid things in game. But I don't buy it. some actions, for instance the fact that while in division on a zone map they sit near a map border for the duration of the match doing nothing but using chat to ensure us it's 'just a game' and we should 'lighten up, and try to have some fun'. Well sorry, I was trying to have fun by winning the match, something we couldn't do because two [edited] don't want to do their part. If you can't see the difference between a troll and a baddie, well I guess you had to be there to believe it

Sorry, ofc not upset lol it was just a tad funny
  11. Well talking from my own experience, if I have a clearly designated escort CA I usually go full out assault mode. My BB's are tier 4, they are slow ( Arkensaus and Impregnator ) so I need to go full assault in order to be able to continuously pressure enemy team. If you don't do that even when you have a good CA with you, leave the BB and either find another BB ( and use chat to indicate your intentions to him, sometimes you think you get an escort only to find it out it was just luck he was following you and he turned around at the first sighting of enemy ships ) or play solo warrior. If you're in a CA and your intended escort BB shows he will continue to play at his max distance and you stick with him you basically remove two ships from your team. Again, I'm not per se pro ranked matchmaking, I think mixing all competence levels is good for the game IF the ratio over time is correct. Sure some games will be a walkover, but honestly I seen that happen in WoT where teams with 10% win chance according to XVM steam rolled the enemy team ( just to indicate that even ranked mm wouldn't prevent this ). Team composition's importance is highly dependant on the map and game mode. Domination map with no DD's on your team vs a team with 4 dd's -> good luck, if enemy team plays it well you should loose. But in other game modes, having team compositions which aren't mirrored exactly make for some very interesting gameplay options. The bold line is what this is mostly about, what got my jimmies rustled so to say, Where does being a 'baddie' end, and where does being a 'troll' start? Let's ignore win rate and damage and things like that, but if you read the game rules anyone playing in a manner which is harmfull for the enjoyment of others seems to be open for sanctions. I think this fits that description, that much should be clear. However, atm I aim more to get input from others how they look at these situations. Should we appeal to WG that people who are actively sabotaging their teams should be penalized ( I think we should ) and if we do, how can one solidify the claim that the behavior is intentionally disruptive to the enjoyment of the other players on his team. And Gremmy will get a proper workout tomorrow, I miss playing her since I played Imperator so much Ow I agree divisions have certain upsides, especially when mixing classes to support each other. Sadly, when I division with 'capable' players it means sharing a lot of damage ( -> a lot less xp and credits ). But as you say, it does make my games a lot more enjoyable so I indeed play in division quite a lot already I do take out Umi pretty often after games like that, just to blow off steam. And it's doing the newer players a favor, I mean someone needs to show them sailing in straight lines puts you on a fishy diet Class specific tutorials is something I would support all the way! This would hopefully have a profound effect on lower tier gameplay. Because at higher tier most players will have realized all those things which make me salty when playing BB's at tier IV, and that's good, but the lower tiers where the new players come into would benefit a lot from more tactically aware players. I know plenty who won't play with me at those tiers because it's 'to unpredictable'. Ofc I also know those who only play low tier because it's 'faster paced' ( with other words: less predictable ). Aim; to gather input from others to where the distinction between 'baddie' and 'troll' happens to be in their view, and to vent some frustration. And ye, he did well, I got trolled and I am aware he is probably happy about that right now. I would like to wipe that smile of his mug though, preferably if this leads to a discussion leading to WG sanctioning those who actively ruin the game for others ( and no, not talking about tk's this time ). I play mostly mid tier ships, I have Ibuki as top tier but it's a long way to Zao for me still. Always willing to division, pm me in game or just hang out in the 'Forumites' chat channel ( password is super secret, don't tell it to ANYONE; 'play4fun' ).

No no, official announcement overrules all that stuff, come on you should know better j/k ofc ;)
  14. Ok I took my 1:30h break and took out the best stronkest most OP ca of them all, the Pepsicola! What followed has to be one of the most enjoyable game I ever had, want to know why -> [edited] In the end I was complimenting the BB's for not camping, the DD's got complimented for contesting the cap zone's and I got complimented on giving AAA cover. Teamplay makes this game enjoyable, team play makes people not be salty, and it wins games.

You're 100% correct, silly me! Ofc official announcements are always correct, ok nothing to see here move along please
  16. Off topic: I am not elitist ( really, I am not elite enough to even be eligible to being an elitist ). Off topic2: Magellan wars, I googled and found this on mmofacts website:

    Gnevny

Those are the standard requirements yes. But, and I do hope you realize this: the part of the player base actually displaying any ability in doing such is very small.
  19. Just to be clear, I didn't make the thread because he is a baddie or because he refused to shoot the DD, I made it because he is both a baddie and he refuses to listen to people trying to help him improve and I am 100% sure he is doing it on purpose. I don't want skill based MM, as I indicated in OP I fully accept good and bad players being mixed in teams ( as long as it's a mixed in reasonable ratio over time ). This was a single player, someone I remember running into earlier when he was in a division in a zone map where he and his division buddy totally ignored everything and spent the entire game near a blue line doing nothing and ignoring the whole team asking them to stop being useless and come help the team and try to win. They showed clearly to do it on purpose, they bathe in the salt of their teams. Then this game he tells me: it's just a game. Yes it is, it's just a game. Something the other people in his team play for their enjoyment, and he is actively sabotaging this. Which made me think about the game rules. This game design ( talking about Zone maps for instance ) is intended to create more fighting in the middle of a map ( since borders are quite useless unless looking for different engagement angles ). This game design; a MMO arcade naval warfare game, is intended to have people work together in teams to win battles. This game design is intended NOT to avoid any engagement for the duration of a battle. But, that is just my opinion, and I was interested ( still am ) in how others think about this.
  20. Thanks for the offer It so double, especially in Impregnator. I am aware how good she is, I can face multiple enemies and come out on top most of the times, it is only very weak against DD's ( 35s reload and VERY slow turrets ). And that is the only thing where it really benefits from proper team play. If I know I got ok cruisers I can play aggressively, if I don't I need to play so conservative to give me some time to react to DD's. And some games I spend defending myself from multiple DD's and even if I survive this and kill them ( BB isn't defenceless off course ) it still feels like I had a crap game because I did low hp damage. My performance in BB's is outpacing my cruisers and destroyers, they are imho the strongest class ( depending on tier ofc, and which BB perhaps... ) So yes, easy mode, but also hard mode. Because you are powerful but you a> need to plan ahead more ( which I can do... IF ) b> your team acts semi predictable ( or can use chat to coordinate ). 40% solo win rate ( > 300 games ), 37% division win rate ( > 100 games ). I will not accept this being stupidity. Not after reading his chat, it was perfectly clear he is capable of coherent thoughts and if you are capable of that you're capable of not being that bad. +1 to the rest though
  21. Logical fallacy there, lack of effort is doing it on purpose. Lack of skill I don't buy, 37% wr in > 100 division games is not lack of skill, it can't be, no one is that bad I think. If someone is not willing to put in the effort to get > 37% wr, doesn't that automatically qualify them as ruin the gaming environment of others on purpose? If I play CA/DD I never get as salty as in a BB, playing BB's make me feel so dependent on the rest of the team ( and frankly, that's not even true because my BB stats are better then my other classes ). I already got some offers for divisions with some CA's to help my Impregnator lol, and I am feeling better already ( might start playing after I finished watching Halo The fall of Reach ). I might even just play my own cruisers and try to show them 'how it's done' ;)
  22. I realize ( and been told ) it's reading like a rant and frankly I perhaps should have taken more than 10 minutes after ending that match before making the post. But come on, 37% is a troll, no if/but/or else about it. And this troll actually got to me, good for him, bad for me. The thing just is: this game is atm ranked or randoms, I don't play ranked because I know my frustration while playing ranked and getting these cretins on my team would be even worse than in randoms. That leaves randoms, and yes I accept that includes bad players. But bad players can still read chat, bad players can still be useful in many ways pretty often ( if they listen ), but a 37% player is not a bad player we already established it's a troll with nothing but intent to ruin the fun and positive gaming environment of every other player in his match. And I feel that these should not be allowed to continue with that behavior. So, the question is: how can you tell with enough certainty someone isn't just a real exceptional baddie or when he is doing it on purpose.

Forum Structure Changes - November 29

I don't have an NA account so I never visit their forums. About if it will work or not, I hope it will Just so WG can put more resources elsewhere instead of forum changes
  24. I can see why he think WoWs has bad gameplay, 42% win rate shows he doesn't understand it at all. Let him go, we won't miss him, even on the enemy team, it would be to easy.
