a cruiser has been able to disappear within 3 to 4 kilometers of me
mtm78 replied to AdmiralFirefox's topic in Newcomers' Section
Without replay I can't deduct what happened but using that thread you should be able to from memory as all the mechanics are explained -
Why do you assume I haven't been?
-
edit: ok I'll be nice and explain: it's not about total battle count on the live server, it's about the games you don't know about but should be able to deduct I been in especially since I said specifically 'I been in more KINDS of battles you can imagine'.

Basically it boils down to 'the benefit of the doubt'. And that can bite me in the behind for sure, but I'm a positive guy and I still believe WoWs will be successful. In hindsight, it's always easy to point the finger, but I'm not going to do so prematurely and based on incomplete data. I will say that seeing this bundle has shifted my believe in the current course not just slightly. I really hope we will get better 'offers' shortly. I'm tempted to post an image, but Ectar told me that particular parody isn't to be posted on a WG forum. In any case, whisky isn't on it But, do notice I am calling it as it is: a parody. The management isn't drunk all the time, if you think they are acting like they are well everyone is entitled to their opinion I guess.

I been in more kinds of battles then you can imagine ;)

No. I play the game to, it doesn't mean I understand the marketing behind it better then those responsible for it. Usually they even studied something related, like marketing, at some educational institute. Basically what Hans was saying: take a bar, you won't lower prices based on a few complaints, and if the numbers show increases the prizes will lose you some costumers but will still result in a higher revenue than that makes perfect sense from a business point of view. Now, if some of your customers you would lose would be your oldest regulars, well that might/should perhaps influence the absolute number game.. since people appreciate being appreciated, in the long run it would perhaps be better to keep the prizes the same.

I can live with that I'm waiting for new game modes, where random battle matchmaking has no influence. Is that bad, I guess so ( I should be rallying the troops to demand MM being 'fixed' like this -> ).

Actually CA and DD balance is still a bit more open, but it is certain there is no intent to make it world of battleships. Either way, I am not the one making decisions. The please stop was only aimed at your : "But what if the team's aren't balanced' comment as I've clearly stated numerous times that they should be.

Questions then is: are most people wiling to pay the prices WG is asking for WoWs content. If you believe the forums, they don't. If you look at Tirpitz sales, they do. Guess only WG themselves can really know how good or bad their offers are priced ( when looking at revenu only ), but forums/community is not without merit either.

Omg I already said many times 'it's ok as long as it's balanced' and you loose an argument and come back with: But what about if the team's aren't balanced.
-
But again, you're blaming the shortcomings of your team members on the overall game mechanics and that doesn't fly. Instead of complaining about 6 dd's per side, complain that your friendly DD's and CA's are doing it wrong.
-
Meh idk, I think people can be getting a bit disappointed with the current store offerings and I do know some people who've stopped playing ( or are playing less ). But, on a more positive note, I am convinced all of them would come back in a heartbeat the moment they get some attractive offers ( well that, and more game mode's aka team battles ;) ). And you're right you can't feel ripped off if you don't buy something, but you can feel like WG is trying to rip you off without having bought anything ( which is the sentiment being displayed here ). I would like the Warspite if it was 20 euro and without the useless doubloons, and I would like to be able to buy it now. Or wait, they can keep the doubloons in the package if they must, but then I want ALL ships available in the tech tree for doubloons so those doubloons actually have use except money sink for WG for XP conversion/module demounting/captain retraining. Because, be honest, that is what these bundles are atm. A way for WG to force people to spend money on things they actually are not likely to spend money on. And that is a valid business strategy, unless you start pissing off people to the point where they stop being costumers.

Seeing how hard it is to tune the team damage monitoring system, and knowing to a greater detail then most how it actually works, I have to support both attempts at the same time as hoping for one of the two to do the job on it's own is false hope at best. Even both systems, implemented as well as can be expected knowing the limitations of the automated system, will not stop team damage/kills in it's entirety. That alone would be enough incentive for something like a Battle Buddy medal in WoWs, to promote and reward those players who take extra precautions not to hit any friendlies.
-
I agree it's probably the most important factor, just said it's not the only factor. I know players who are now playing DD's because of the xp increase for capping ( but you're right, with CV's lacking currently DD's do have it a lot easier so it's hard to say what the effect of the change to the reward system would be without CV nerf ).
-
I would rather do both then just one, you wouldn't?
-
It also highly depends on game mode, domination you need those stealth dd's capable of spotting other stealth dd's, or risk gunboat DD weaving until he spots stealth DD or stealth DD runs away ( leaving you the cap ). But in a Zone game mode, it's already less important, if you have carriers even less because the planes can spot what the gunboat DD's can't. In that scenario, team with gunboat DD's should be the one with the advantage.

Researching Fuso should be enough, don't need to buy it to elite Kongou,

^^ 6 Shima vs 6 Kharborovsk ( don't make fun of my spelling ) is not a fun matchup.

You're blaming the shortcomings of your allied players on the overall game mechanic again. Even Shima can be spotted by another DD ( especially another Shima ), and when spotted your CA's need to be close and pre-aimed at the likely location. The only thing you're describing is lack of teamplay, and sorry but some of us like this team play element and are against dumbing down the game to cater to those who have no interest in such things. I have no issues with 6 dd's per team ( if evenly balanced ).
-
Ow boy, the 'ffin' starts flying, now we're in trouble... Not long ago there were 1 or maybe two DD's in high tier matches, but let me guess: that was how the game is 'intended' right? Allied DD's need to do their job and spot enemy DD's, and CA's are perfectly capable of flushing out DD's as long as they have an approximate location. Remember you only need to push them out of cap points and take them for yourself, killing all isn't even a game requirement. Don't blame the shortcomings of your allied players on the game itself.

We can always ask our friend Christian Lee for advice, he might know how to deal with unwanted bundles
