No, you should pay AT LEAST the repair cost and any profit you would have made that game in compensation.

Or make the fines/sanctions for second or third line torping aka team damage aka team killing proportional to the sudden decrease in enjoyment of the game for the guy who got torped from behind Hint: that does not mean decreasing them from where they are now

Please make fire damage count toward xp and credits

Which proves the need for an EU Q&A so these kinds of things don't happen more often/frequently. -
I have 210K Free EXP, what to spend it on?
mtm78 replied to CatOnKeyboard's topic in General Discussion
What is wrong with stock Minekaze? Not worth spending free xp on second hull for that little bit of extra concealment, and well gun's aren't important either -
WoT was released with two incomplete tech tree's, go look at it now.

Hitbox skins in WoWs will be absolutely useless as 'cheat', the ships with hard to hit citadels don't have those because people don't know where they are ( well maybe some people don't but anyone who wants to know has no issues in finding out ). The ships with hard to hit citadels have them because their placement in the ship ( relative to the water line for example ).

If you would actually consider reading ( more ) of my posts you would know a: I said GE CA's can get citadel shots landed on it at any angle ( eg. they are tissue ). b: The module damage you complain about is just as bad on a Kuma, a Phoenix or any lightly armored cruiser and all and any DD in the game. c: I am as opposed to some of WG's policies, and have concerns about some others, and I have been pretty vocal about those issues. I however don't just bash WG without trying to give some constructive criticism. d: Since when does ST get's free stuff? If so, I should remind WG to reimburse me for all my missed 'income'

Expert Guide to HIJMS Mogami (5.0.3) - "Lady of Glass, Heart of Fire"
mtm78 replied to WhiskeyWolf's topic in Cruisers
I admit I stopped grinding Mogami right after the armor mechanics change so I have not played her a lot. Maybe the meta has indeed changed that much, I'll try to play some 20 games with her in the coming week and will come back on this. Thank you for your well thought out reply, it really made me realize I should play her more often if I was truly to be able to detect a whole meta change. -
You made a spelling error.

Well... From you elistist attitude I think I will stop here... If you think all CA players that make friendly fire can't improve or aren't there... Keep on looking over your shoulder on the top of your mountain... ...Beware of the long falls, although... ...They hurt more the tallest the mountain top you think you are safely sitting upon. I don't know what your problem is; but you're the elitist here claiming you can launch torpedo's from second line because you can predict the future. So why don't you comment on the actual import parts of the posts you reply to and only choose so darn selectively? Why don't you tell me how you can predict when your allies want to turn? Teach us, so we can all torp safely from behind allies ow great senpai...

I am using crosshairs with angled lines for this reason; it makes is easier to visualise the angle the ship is at and to lead accordingly. Also, experience helps, but there are still engagements where I lose because enemy ship was using proper 'hard' angles.

You mean what I have learned to predict? Oh... I can ellaborate a list but it all start by remembering what makes YOU change course in the middle of a battle: - The "spatial awareness tick"... As DD you are usually the one triggering this, so those strange "last second" changes aren't accidental. Most players tend to use the same delay period after their Jedis tells them that some1 is nearby. Friendlies equiped with Jedis do the same. - Long artillery fire... Good players maeuver to hide their Citadels, from the DD pov this is the source of most course changes. Friendlies do the same. - Cover seek. Under stress players try to hide... You can use this to attack on the "safe spots" and to avoid launching through the shortests paths to cover. - Good players change speed when they suspect torpedo activity. NEVER launch forward over a friendly thinking "they will slow" or "aren't fast enough". - Torpedo/Bombers on the horizon. Enemies & frienly alike change course when they spot aircrafts incomming... At higher tiers with CVs around, or you learn to predict this or your chances to connect a torpedo are next to none. The same goes with aerial lanes... Torpedos intersecting them are equal to torpedos failed. Same goes with CA fighter circular patterns, you can be surprised once because they appear too close... But launching through the zone one is patrolling after seeing them once is a failure on your side. I can keep on going... But I suppose that you already figured that the main trick about predicting is very simple, is just incorporating more factors into the decission of when and where to shoot beyond the "it's on the white cone... SHOOOOOT!". More blah blah blah, come on don't you think anyone who played a few games and who doesn't suck doesn't know all that. And IT STIll DOESN"T PREDICT THE FUTURE ONLY GIVES PROBABILITIES. To many times I died in my CA because some nitwit in a DD fired torps from behind me which wouldn't hit me but prevented me from turning when I needed to because something spotted me and I was at a bad angle for some BB just to give a simple example. If you can predict when I want to turn and take that into account, be my guest. But you can't. So if you keep firing torps from behind me you run the risk of me returning the favor to show how annoying it it. edit: And btw you're really sad if you have to resort to ad hominem about how I decide when to shoot especially since you're not that much if at all better in your DD's then I am. So if that's how I aim, you're doing the same or worse

You brought skill in this discussion not me, I just argued that you can't use that card on me in my humble opinion. As to case in point; I still only hear blah blah blah and nothing scientific on how you can predict the future? Will you fill in my lottery tickets? Sure, you can learn to predict probablitities but that doesn't give you the right to threat them as certainties and endanger your allies that way, and that is my point.

Are you a lead assist user, or a troll by any chance? Not sure with 38% win rate to be honest. Either way, as others have argued before; aiming is a large part of the game. If you don't think that anything which removes this learning curve is a cheat ( since WG says it is, it is ) then that's fine but your morals don't create the rules. WG does. And they said it's a cheat. Which brings me again to the real reason you posted, you can't be as 'good' as you described or your stats wouldn't be so terrible, which leaves us with either a troll or someone trying to downplay the lead assist ( or both ). Edit: 40% + hit ratio on all your starter ships while having absolutely no idea what you're doing in the game ( obvious from your other statistics ), glad you didn't hide your profile!

That is a> without premium account and b> because your highest CA in the tree is a Furytaco and you do 11k avg dmg with your tier 8 Atago

I don't agree with HE/AP shell coloring since I am colorblind I can't see the slight difference between normal shell colors and that gives people who are not color blind an unfair advantage ;) I do agree that it would be best if it was available for everyone through the in game options as in an 'color blind' mode with enhanced contrast of UI elements and markers. If mods are freely available through a central points ( be it an official 'mod store' or this forum for instance ) then it's not just available to a select few either. Still, I would like functions or widely used and thus seen as 'important' modifications to make it into the vanilla client. And if you look at WoT, that is something which isn't that far fetched. -
Locking guns with ctrl-x or right mouse button while turning helps, it's not 100% the same but it get's the job done.
-
All these historical values however can be tweaked to suit gameplay, and there might have not been a suitable real life candidate in the opinion of WG which would better fit their intended tech tree. Did you get the shell weights from the in game values or the historical archives? Besides shell weight, each ammo seems to have a 'krupp' factor which influences penetration abilities.

Names on minimap and last spotted location also wasn't implemented first by WG themselves. I do agree that the vanilla game should have more options available, like different build in crosshair's. But having a centralized mod distribution system in place would not prevent useful mods from appearing nor from being eligible for implementation into the vanilla game.
