    HE has a limited AEF ( area of effect ), that is also why it's good at taking out AAA guns and secondaries. It is really annoying but every DD and even CL's are prone to losing rudder/engine from near misses.

    Yup, you need to have at least one person in the division who is a good player on his own, and then also capable of multi tasking and thinking with the others and giving advice/directions while also playing on his own usual level. But, I don't think this is so far fetched. Amongst friends/clans there are always differences in skill ( since WoWs has no CW yet, there are no competitively oriented WoWs specific clans yet ). I also think that lesser players in such divisions will have a much easier time improving their own play, since they can interact with someone in real time in the battle and are therefore more likely to understand why certain directions/advice is given depending on how the game is going. What would be great if I had a few more good people willing to do this so we can start something akin to STGA in WoT ( contact me if you're up for it ). Interpretation of statistical information is a science on it's own edit: It's optional, depending on which pre made config you're using ( but it's been available for a long time ). Either way, the point is mute since no developer will spend time into making a fully fledged XVM for WoWs if WG offers players the option to hide their statistics ( I don't think there is enough 'fame' to be gathered ).

    XVM get's around that by showing per tank win rate and battles played, so while you're correct in your reasoning it's not going to influence whether or not an XVM like tool would even be actually usable in WoWs don't you agree?

    Good point! My last game of most play sessions I usually am down on concentration and up on sleep, like yesterday I suicided my Atago by 'really wanting to get my torps off' when at any other time I would have said 'screw torps, I need to gtfo naow!'. Statistical performance does not offer conclusive predictive powers, stock brokers know about this all too well

    I have used that argument as well, but it does not hold very well imo. Take an enemy CV, and you being the only > 60% wr player in your team. Would you like the enemy carrier to know this, or would you rather he didn't? Then, my own 'second thought' : well ok, let's just enable me to see my allies statistics ( for as you say, I will risk loosing hp to save someone who might be valuable later on, but I surely am not going to do so for a 42% bob ). But, then you get this 44% bob asking in chat why no one tried to assist him, and everyone would start telling him he is such a bad player he is not worth saving. While I kind of agree that being the case, it doesn't do much for a positive and fun atmosphere in game. Solution 1: ALWAYS play in division. So you at least have two capable allies, people you can communicate with better, people who you can plan things with, people who you can count on to have your back. Solution 2: 'Play4fun'

    So if every ship's income modifier was lowered to cover the costs now under maintenance everything would be fine? My bet is OP would still post a thread then, about why the income is so low. Really, it doesn't matter much under which title the costs are imo.

  11. right click and ignore? And to shut down chat for each game, just press enter to show the text box and press on the red X on the right side : voila chat muted for the duration of the match. Muting chat however does not mute the quick commands.

    Sorry but hiding stats to prevent UC abuse is ridiculous. Statistics should be public imo, everyone on this forum who has their stats hidden and adds content ( posts/threads ) regarding balance should be ignored, because as Xevious_Red just pointed out: you can't check for bias. In game, meh, I can see why some people like being able to see stats of enemies / allies but overall if the general consensus is really that statistics bring toxicity... On the other hand, it's not good either because when I am proposing a tactic at the start of a battle and some 44% win rate bob says something else, it would help the team if they could see it is safe to ignore the bob. The abuse of the report system should be dealt with, but without having to resort to hiding everyone's stats by default. That's turning the world around...

    Adjusting MM to balance divisions between teams is still not going to solve the issue of imbalanced teams, as the MM doesn't take into account performance. Adding to that, it would penalize divisions with additional queue times which I don't think is really fair. But, I do agree 'we' should try and do something back for the new players, which is why I've said yes to participating in open training sessions for people who are interested in learning the game mechanics, followed by divisions with more experienced players in order to put the newly acquired knowledge to the test. Sadly, this would off course also have a limited impact but it's the most I personally will be able to do to make WoWs more enjoyable for everyone. These sessions are still in planning stages, we are looking for instructors willing to offer some of their free time to help with this so if you're a decent player and think you can take part in this endeavour feel free to contact me through pm ( for everyone reading, not specifically you ). We also feel reluctant to use mods to enable training rooms for this purpose, so it might be awhile before we're ready to fully get the ball rolling. edit: btw you got me curious as I didn't know the difference for me personally between solo and division was that big. Solo games -> 994 games 59.46% win rate All games -> 1668 games 62.83% win rate So not really 10% higher win rate in division, it's only 3% boost by division edit2: but the 234 solo battles with Imperator Nicolai I with > 70% win rate is a nice booster

    I was about to point to some good players I know who chose to hide their stats but Ishiro beat me to it ;) Also, I have 40 seconds at least to check people, using various web sites which are a lot quicker to query then the WG profile pages. And yes, I sometimes do this, especially if I'm up against a division heavy team it helps to know which division is the most dangerous

    I fully support your statement, I don't have a problem with you pointing out how my win rate is heavily padded by divisions. Hence me recommending to everyone who complains he is not having as much fun because of losing matches more than expected, to division up. It is why I spam the forumites channel ( 'Forumites' by Sturmtiger304 iirc, password 'play4fun' ) so we get new people we can division with and hopefully turn into better players. As I said, my ability to boost my win rate with divisions is shared with every other person playing this game, I suggest those who think it's not fair to start looking for people to play with themselves I even wanted to 'like' your post, but seems that 15 likes goes faster then anticipated

    They should be 100% identical to an elited Kongo, I never bothered to check 3rd party to verify it but if this 3rd party says their not identical my hunch is on them being wrong. WG wouldn't give ARP ships better properties, it wouldn't be liked by community ( for good reason, it would force everyone who plays competitively to get the ARP content ). If you compare statistical performance, ARP ships do better than their regular tree counterparts; this is not because of being better ships, but because their captains are better.

    Yes, that is why WoT randoms also doesn't allow platoons... ow wait. Everyone is free to division with others, it should not be penalized if you want to play with other people in division ( friends or even just randoms ). Team battles would be a nice addition though, if feasible I would only play that if/when it get's introduced.

    There are two kinds of players who hide their stats: bad players who are ashamed of them and don't want to lose their credibility the moment they start complaining in the chat about how bad their team is, and good players who are afraid the statistics will cause unwanted attention on them in game ( stat focus, aka xvm focus even without xvm ). Or wait, three kind of players: the last group is mediocre players who want to pretend their good players. No, four kind of players: there is a group which was based on their statistical performance terrible players, but who are now using cheats to aim better. These players also hide their stats because they know it would give away they are filthy cheaters.

    14 loses in a row, you might be the common thing in those. Which is why you don't get the same rewards in PVE, it doesn't teach you how to play the game, it's a rather dumb AI. The bots know how to shoot, they will focus fire even, but there is no tactics behind their behavior. Want the same rewards as the other human players ( which play PVP ), fine, play PVP then, and that's all there is to it. Well it would be hard for WG to not notice the popularity of PVE missions in AW, seeing something which is seemingly such a success ( I know people who don't play PvP in AW, only PVE because it is the most fun to them and it is reasonably challenging with matching rewards ) surely should make some people think that such a format might work in other titles to.

    This has happened to me as well, seems it's one of the older recurring bugs the developers haven't been fully able to weed out of the code. It has happened to me in destroyers, cruisers and battleships, it's certainly not class restricted. However, just as I only observed it happening after being hit, therefore I share his deductive conclusion.
