    Mirror MM would kill the game, it would become boring imo. With divergent team compositions come different strategies. Diversity is a good thing, the only thing MM should do better is spreading ships. So no 4 clevelands in one team and 4 Aoba's in the other, or 3 Yamato's in one team and 2 Montana's and an Iowa in the other.

  4. XVM icon in front of the name in the players panel. In game ( played 5 games today ) I seen no one besides me who had it installed. edit: sorry, I was mistaken, there was one other guy on enemy team in those battles who had it installed.
  5. I had an allied Hatsu in one of my games just now with a 'meh' rating. Our division were all bluenicum ( me ) or Unicum. The hatsu got almost 1.5 times my XP and I was second in team. All this you're afraid of, the xvm abuse, is not because of xvm but because people don't even understand how to interpret the data it gives. Hatsu earned +3 karma in that battle ( at least )
  6. Well if you would like an option to allow stats site and block XVM, we're on the same page What I proposed was an added option for players to allow and/or disallow certain API keys from accessing their profile.

    When I used the installer I must have misread as I thought it indicated for both to be incompatible with the minimap + dmg counter and Navigator mods. So I installed without stats, and used the one from that link. That one is from official XVM developer Monstrofill btw, the other mod is not afaik. The other one has a much different structure. Also: So not same developer.

I made a wrong suggestion: instead of being able to block certain API keys we should be able to explicitly allow certain API keys ( warships.today for instance ), which in WG's database could/should be tied with something like DNS records so the key can not be cloned easilly. That way we can allow access to our profile for specific sites, but disallow all others. edit: nice ninja I am discussing this with other people atm as well so I had this post open for some time already
  10. Good points! Only 'fix' there is would be having another option for sharing your statistics -> block certain API keys ( eg the one used by XVM ) while allowing 3rd party stats using another API key to still access them...
  11. The only way this would ever be 'stopped' is not because of community unrest but because of enormous community unrest causing WG to step in. My promotion isn't saying I think it's a good thing, though there are some things which makes it less of an issue to me personally at this stage: 1. I haven't been focused fired on yet... 2. It doesn't show 'win chance' which is the WORST aspect of XVM if you ask me. 3. Hiding your profile has immediate effect ( on this variant at least, not sure there seem to be multiple variants out there? ) 4. Toxic chat happens with or without XVM if you ask me, those who use XVM in their chat would have used 'noob blahblahblah' otherwise anyway. If you want it gone: proof me ( no, read that as: proof WG! ) it will create civil unrest to the likes not seen before not even with the pearl missions ;)
  12. Atm I am checking through replays ( haven't played the game in 3 days, been feeling ill and shiet because of dog.. .). Will be going into live when I am done eating. One thing I did notice just now is that my detection circles aren't shown on minimap, but that might be me messing with RKIeditor. edit: Works in live, and minimap has detection range circles with Umikaze

    Are you using this version -> http://forum.worldofwarships.eu/index.php?/topic/42463-0522-ingame-players-statistics/ Because it is most definitively compatible with all the mods your installer says it is not? It even 'fixed' the navigator mod as shown in my screenshot.

  15. Alright, I been looking at the XVM mod, and it pulls data from WG api not 3rd party site. So hiding stats should have immediate effect! Also, Aslains installer says it is not compatible with a shitload of other mods... but it is: It even fixes the Navigator mod which without XVM would display more to the right and with the quarter circle wrongly places at top left corner
  16. I have not done so and I am not sure I will. If this mod will influence my gameplay experience I will just complain to WG about it and have something done about it without requiring me to hide my stats from various 3rd party web sites ( hopefully... ).
  17. There are TWO different mods out there atm, one from an official XVM developer and one which is not associated with XVM. One pulls data through WG API and doesn't show anything from people who have hidden their stats, and the other pulls it from a different source and seems to show stats from before people hid them.

    New Mexico is a beast, it's the only BB I really fear when taking out my Imperator. Even a Fuso I can reliably damage, but a well angled New Mexico is impervious to my AP shells ( well ofc superstructure but that's minimal dmg )
  19. Mhmm.. can't use it now, much more important mods are currently conflicting with it: Minimap with ship names and last known location + dmg meter, and Navigator mod. I hear atmaxx will be integrating it though so when he does I will use it. edit: It doesn't show the worst aspect of XVM in WoT right? ( Win chance? )

    This is mostly said by mediocre and worse players, I wonder why Umikaze, the best way to teach the new players that sailing in straight lines makes them consume a lot of fish ( and that in game, fish is actually bad for your health ) As I said in earlier posts; the chat in those games is usually filled with me saying after each kill 'Stop sailing in straight lines!'.

    Somehow that strikes me happy more than it makes me sad? It's a story about 'all is well if it ends well' if I am not mistaken. Maybe dogs don't have nine lives, but when I eventually will get another dog I would surely hope it might be the same spirit as the one which I had to put to sleep

    So could you compare average win rate for Imperator owners compared with their other ( low tier ) battleships?

    Well we could use averages to compare them, off course individual skill or lack off would skew results very much either way. Afaik average win rate for Imperator is around 61%? I don't know average win rate of Arkansas Beta for sure but I think it is about 55%.

    Where did you get those numbers? Mapplesirop? Thanks, sorry to hear about Joyce. Shadow had Chondrosarcoma ( had to wikipedia it as I didn't know the English term ) but on the xray's it was already visible in his lungs as well. Seems that is also why he lost so much muscle mass that quickly, the area around his shoulder joint wasn't just more 'boney' than it should, all the muscles around it were almost gone. Hope your cat get's his wish and lives forever ( probably not, but it's a nice goal to have! ).
