    XVM... for WoWs?

I dare you to install it and proof it is a cheat ( since a cheat would give you an advantage which we could see by your performance going up compared to your current/historical performance ).

So you do see that in randoms, having imba ship distribution is not a good thing

You do know both of you guys have visible stats? Not only does he have a way higher statistical performance, he even has a higher average tier then you

Yes but the greater the disparity between teams the more teamwork is required to win. Which is fun, if it happens, and utterly frustrating when it doesn't. I think a better distribution of Benson vs Mutsuki's in random teams is not that bad, given that WG has no way to influence the amount of teamwork in randoms this is the next best thing imo.

And close behind the gunboat DD's are their cruisers, and behind them are your allied BB's Sure, stealth DD's will have the advantage and given entirely equal skill distribution their team is most likely to win the engagement/game. But it is the only current way to win that matchup when you got the team with gun boat DD's. And exactly to counter that, WG is going to make better matched teams. Really, you just argued against your own case edit: I think..

Isokaze will be bought back, I can assure you that I mean, I got clubbed hard by Alpha testers when I joined CBT, and that is how I eventually got a little bit less of a scrub. Why should I not do others the same favor? See above You might be the exception, I am finding it taking quite a lot more effort to keep my stats up at the higher tiers. Not saying I only perform good in low tier, far from it, even my Ibuki win rate is quite ok. But on average, there is someone who is collecting player stats every two weeks and he has shown using some formula I don't recall that people's average win rates are consistently lower on higher tiers. edit: Don't you worry, my Impregnator will become only more fun it seems

I already gave an example you seem to ignore or miss; domination mode 3 caps - 3 stealth DD's vs 2 Gun Boat DD's. Still, the team with the gun boat DD's can win through team work and proper utilization of each of their classes/ships. The gun boat DD's should push the stealth boat dd's with cruisers closely behind and flush out the stealth dd's which then need to be killed with the assistance of the close bye cruisers. These games are actually fun, because teamwork equals great fun. But when your gun boat DD's are tactically stupid and do the wrong thing, the game is lost. This has nothing to do with balancing gun boat and stealth boat dd's against each other. You simply can not balance them that way without turning them into carbon copies with slight variations. So, if you can't balance the two type's of DD's against each other, and you can't FORCE people to play their ships in the way they're supposed to, the only viable option is to create teams with a more equal amount of ship type's. Because, that way, 10 people won't be shaften if their 2 players who are crucial to their team's victory are not doing what they are supposed to be doing. Because of the more even teams, the impact of players not doing what they should be doing is strategically/tactically much less of a burden.

So you still think random teams consisting of gun boat DD's vs stealth DD's is fine? Guess we don't agree at all then

I didn't buy Mikasa, 4 gun's with that dispersion no thank you. But, it's not true that most seal clubber ships have such drawbacks that their easily countered even by newer players. A St Louis might be slow, but get a good captain on it and you will dominate every tier III battle you might end in to ( I even done 30k dmg to a Fuso killing him as well, because Fuso thought ignoring St Louis could do no harm ). Umikaze with it's terribly slow torps is still just as dangerous in a tier V battle ( provided you target BB's and not CL's or let alone another DD ).

    Team killer discussion thread

Getting popcorn.. I pushed an allied Shima into an enemy torp two days ago, he didn't die but would it be team killing if he did? ps; yes it was accidental, but does it matter? I said sorry, he didn't respond ( that also means he didn't rage at me, so that is good I suppose ).

Bug, Ctrl+A input doesn't work in game

ctrl+a / ctrl+c / ctrl+v / ctrl-x, I guess they sound familiar to most windows users Anyway, while you might expect all keys to work in combination with the CTRL modifier, you could also just reason that since you're no longer pinging the map you could just let go of the CTRL key? I mean, in all my games I might have run into this same situation once, but never more since the work around is readily available. Can't imagine this being high up on the priority list. However, it should be an easy fix so if the dev's ever come around to it I guess it's perfectly possible you will be able to hold ctrl and keep steering your ship and clicking on the map at the same time. I just don't think a lot of people are going to notice it's even possible.
  15. Can you explain point 3? Forcing people to take more than one combination is almost saying that a certain combination is to strong compared with others and should therefore be limited? I am still sorry I couldn't participate, even with some hiccups it sounds like you guys had a blast

.... read below quote again. Yes, because you can balance a Yamato vs an Iowa since .... ow wait, you can't. The problem is that while two gunboat DD's are perfectly capable of pushing into caps being contested by stealth DD's and lighting them up for their team's cruisers which should then assist in killing them ( and basically winning the game right then and there ), in effect you get gun boat captains 'sticking with the battleships' and not doing their job. In order to offset offset matchmaking, you need teamwork and skill. It sucks when your team's only DD capable of flushing out a pair of enemy Kageroo's,suicides doing something entirely stupid leaving your team at such a disadvantage that the match felt lost 3 minutes in ( or sooner, when you realize your Benson is not responding to chat or map pings and rather charges into a group of battleships escorted by cruisers ). With a more ( but not completely! ) balanced distribution for random games it's going to be less frequent that a match is lost or won 2 minutes in.

    Advice on Tier 3 Destroyers

St Louis is still in my port for a reason ( and it's not even the missions.. ). But, my advice would be Wakatake. I sold it after unlocking Isokaze but; 9 games 8 wins. It can stealth torp, end of story. Just like Umi, just like Isokaze and every DD coming behind it, it's just less exceptionally good at doing so. But it is perfectly capable of winning games just like the other low tier IJN DD's. Derpski: suicide torpedo's ( or ambush.. if enemy is stupid ), gun's are meh and remember: when you're using your guns, people can shoot you back. Wickes: all USN DD's got better torps now, they might not be stealth launch capable but it's less of a suicide run then with Derpski. Same thing however for the guns, you're relying on the enemy not knowing how to shoot. Both gun boat DD's are not my thing really, I don't want to rely on enemies not being bad. Waka depends on enemies not being good and evading your torps, but it's still not the same level of dependency ( my gut feeling ).

Why is this game so poorly optimized!?

You're trolling now. Did you look at the linked thread? Your pc might be 'over specced' ( though no dxdiag output.. which would be nice.. you might have overlooked your over specced system is running on a driver from 3 years ago somewhere ), people with far lesser systems are getting far better results than you yet you're still blaming the game.

Idk, n00b-nuking sounds the most appropriate to some extent. Still, let's wait and see how it works out, it might even be more fun for higher skilled players to be able to use lower tier ships and not have the feeling off almost being invincible. I'll hold on to it for now, while I think Umikaze might suffer the most as it's a class which punishes especially the 'bad players', it might not be too bad in effect when fighting more same skill opponents. I will however make a snapshot of my statistics prior just so it is clear to me what the influence in numbers is. Off course, the influence in enjoyment is what counts more to me as player, but numbers are easier to use then an abstract term as enjoyment. I know of such people, though I never taken it higher than tier five. Tier X is way too steep for Umikaze to perform consistently, the speed is to low to outrun cruisers which is already the case at tier 5 ( but, lesser player occupy this tier to a larger extent ). Also, because of how some teams react; threats of team damage, sometimes threats are carried out; I have only done this sporadically. But, Since Umikaze is a stealth torpedo platform, it is viable in almost all lineups. 20s reload + flooding + high HP enemies = loads of money damage. The appetite for fish is not related to tier, or number of games, but skill. So indeed, as I said, if this MM is going to be based on number of games, the impact will be less than people fear ( when they belong in the category which clubs ) or hope ( when they are high battle count seals ). Still, it's going to have a certain effect, since the appetite for the fish, especially really slow long running fish, do seem to consistently go down in higher tier games. People not only sail in evasive patterns, they also know better how to deal with torpedo spread's ( as in, they won't eat all the fish without even trying to evade; still being in sniper mode and wondering what this 'beep' is they hear ). This is why I would have opted not for total segregation but for having MM increase the chances of being matches against higher rated players proportionally to one's own rating. Still, it's to early to tell if in effect this will still happen. I can't imagine me being denied the chance to play low tier battles entirely just because there is no one with 'similar' skill level around ( eg, if my timer runs out, I expect to get into a battle regardless ).

So... time to let go of Umikaze and stop teaching the new players that sailing in straight lines is a bad thing On a serious note; teaching new players the ropes is what prepares them for higher tiers. But it shouldn't ever discourage them from the start. So there is merit in some seperation, though I wouldn't make it 100% just a higher chance of more seasoned players to also meet other seasoned players at those tiers. That being said, if this 'matching' is done on battle count and not on skill, I got nothing to fear

Why is this game so poorly optimized!?

Don't blame the game, blame your settings for some reason... Take a look at this thread -> http://forum.worldofwarships.eu/index.php?/topic/9666-settings-and-performance-help/ Your performance should be much better than your reported 25fps.
