Even a Shima who has not been detected will have it's location known after his first wave of torpedo's come. And even those first wave's can ( with the exception of Ocean ) be so far predicated that there are only specific points where he could have launched from ( spawn locations, 'corridor map design' ). These things can be known by looking at the minimap, or by knowing the maps and speed of enemy DD's ( important to judge where they would go after their first wave of torpedo's ). I did not mean; looking at the map constantly for not seeing undetected ships, that would be kind off pointless ;) I think you also agree on this; as you said the same thing with other words; 'educated guesses'. As to situational awareness, in late stages of games with fewer ships still alive, your situational awareness is a great aid in finding vectors of enemy ships ( vector != location ) by using islands as los blockers. If you're close to an island and you're not detected and covered by a bigger island on your other flank, the moment your situational awareness goes off you know from which vector you're being spotted ( in most cases at least ). Even BB's which should stay relatively far from islands in order to not get ambushed, can use this mechanic to give them some indication.

You're right, I wasn't saying there was no valid reason there certainly was. Guess the message just ticked me off a bit, as in other occasions 'fear off submarines' was a lot less substantial and yet still used as excuse. In this case the sighting was real, yet even then it is only because of the unrestricted submarine warfare which came into effect after earlier incidents that it would have prevented / slowed down rescue operations. I know, it's not something only from modern times, chivalry was also more a tale of books and songs then real life occurrences on the battlefields of yesterday but it still is a pity. And I might also add, there are stories that Bismarck offered surrender, through hoisting a black flag ( sign for parlay ) and morse code, and that RN Officers decided to ignore these signals because of the emotions involved after losing the Hood. Again; the truth is hard to find, I can fully imagine the crew fully being broken and not wanting to continue the already lost fight, but I can also fully imagine that some of the officers would not accept offering a surrender of Germany's price ship. 'History is written by the victors'? -
Wrong section, this is the ENGLISH language section ;) Team work, having your carrier /stealth dd's spot the dd's, having gunboat DD's / cruisers screen between enemy DD positions and their BB's so they can spot the torpedo's incoming ( helps if BB's aren't railroading in sniper mode btw ). And sorry, but if you don't know where torps are coming from before you're getting hit you haven't been paying attention to the map or you lack situational awareness ( yes, the two meanings that can have in this game ). Well it's easier for them to be honest, as it doesn't happen that much to them ;) Oops, did I just give an answer which was already given? The problem is lack of teamwork / skill ( doesn't have to be you, just as well be lack of skill of your allies ).

Yes, and there was no one on the British side just being a bit more 'reluctant' because they didn't want to save the people who just blew up their flag ship with all but less than a handful survivors. Every British sailor just thought: let's save all those poor German sailors! And they really would have done it, were it not off the clear and imminent threat of evil German submarines which would surely attack any ship involved in rescuing their countrymen. / Truth is a sword with 3 sides. Usually, the 'right' side lies more in the middle You posted these POW camps because there were what? 10.000 people who died in them? As a direct quote about the death camps of the Nazi regime? What are you trying to say? -
Nope always been there for as far as I know.. could be wrong.

Red Dwarf bestest name ever, how dare you call it silly

100% mirrored no, I can live with 2 stealth + 2 gun boat vs 3 stealth + 1 gb. But 4 stealth vs 4 gun boat, you might remember the few times it actually 'worked' for your team because everyone did exactly what they were supposed to do to counter the offset matchmaking, the thing which I am remembering all to vividly is the times this did not happen. ps; for your WoT example, I was one of those Type59 players and you'd bet that usually at the time, the team with the Type59 advantage won. And that was a large part in the later nerfs.

Probably lots of people on PT, guess the proper remark would be: why aren't you?
-
Yes, it has been said many times it will not happen, not soon, not Tuccy soon™ and not ever

75% of server average is considered 'vegetable'? For you maybe, I might even agree it's not a terrific idea of having a team full of them, but even then it's just 25%. It's not like you're describing E100 drivers with 300 avg. dmg. per game now are you Either way, as been explained, 'plays poorly' is subjective. I don't know 100% why it is even there, but for me it's perfectly fine if I spam my whole 7 points at the first guy which thoroughly pisses me off ( by being a vegetable, or something alike, tomato is a fruit right? ). Blows off a lot of steam, the only thing I would regret is having spent them all that quickly as I am quite often meeting multiple people per day I would like to spend 'plays poorly' reports on. If WG really wanted us to limit ourselves to report a guy once, they would have made it impossible to report the same person over and over in one battle / after battle result Ow, before anyone says anything, I give compliment as well, even to enemies who sink me by good play. Listen to the guy, EFE has a reputation to uphold here ps. I spam F10 quite often, especially when I see him in my team

Me 2, me 2... I'd consider it an everlasting maiden voyage

It's been a recurring question since Alpha I believe ( which predates me, I only got in the CBT )
-
Huh, I really didn't even see the bottom sentence when I pressed quote move along, nothing to see edit: though I do want to point out that Gremmy stats of mine were actually better in CBT And most people played CBT a lot different, knowing we got a reset anyway. I choose totally different lines, and ships have undergone significant changes. Heck, the whole implementation of armor happened afterwards

edit: double post sorry

Seal clubbing can also point towards mismatched abilities and not skill. In this case being perma spotted by invisible DD and stealth fired at by enemy Zao edit: Uhm how come, I have comparable stats and I can assure you I am no reroll

Maybe that is a way to punish collisions more because the system is not able to recognize when collisions are happening due to malicious intent or not? To me this sounds very plausible, and even fair. I never really been bothered with the credit costs of team damage anyway, it's imo far to low even.
-
But, but, but.... We got such big chests
-
Thing is, it was accidental but it was still stupid of me, I just reacted to late and the Shima also turned into me instead of out ( think he could have turned out as well and evaded that one, but I couldn't say that for certain ). And yes, the system doesn't handle pushing people into torps, I know with tanks that it is able to designate team damage if you push someone off a cliff but also not automatically handle blocking from behind or pushing a tank in front of you to use him as meat shield. Guess it is very hard to determine by an automated system OR even a human the intent behind collisions in WoWs. I've been really utterly pissed with people who team damaged me, and didn't say sorry. Like German CA shooting torps at 12km enemies heading away from them, hitting my DD from behind for 3/4 hp. A simple sorry would be enough, but nothing. So I thought, he is probably a decent guy and just not aware of how terribly annoying allied torpedo's coming from behind really are, I hope he took notes and learned enough to never do it again. He was better then me at evasion though, so maybe I just underestimated his knowledge of the game and he was really just trolling me. This was before the karma system though, now I would just 'report' him for plays badly.

1. Going into a training room and then going out -> fix this by having to submit the lineup x minutes before the training room is up ( no more switching afterwards, so you can't match your lineup as a perfect counter to the enemies lineup ). 2. Continuously switching shouldn't be an issue if you ask me. The more different lineups are used in game the better, makes for varied play.- 131 replies
