Can you guys please make up your mind, as a CV pleb I am 100% dependent on you as gud CV players to not look like an arse when going REEEE about certain carriers being 'easier' to play then others Also, good morning :)

Your bowl of popcorn isn't big enough I fear. Fresh air did me good, I got the flue but nothing will stop me from being angry at the internet! Rather that then start the game, take out my grinded AA destroyer Grozovoi and get shat on by tier 8 carriers, or heck I got this girl called Melon she used to scare the bejesus out off carrier players and now they laugh at her even when she is using her extra button. Forum doesn't do karma you know, no fears here

I guess Missouri still affects what I would find 'excellent' credit making, especially in a DD which is much harder to get those results with -
Back to claiming REEwork is almost done, working nearly as intended, and are now hard at work in shoehorning submarine gameplay in pvp so we can all immerse ourselves in this game depicting science fiction naval combat where submarines from this era traveled back 100 years to show the people from around WWII how to make submarines go 30kts submerged. Incidentally, they also brought the Russians some ship designs from sektrit archives, to proof communist superiority beyond any doubt. edit: on a more serious note, this is one of the reasons I don't like playing Grozovoi, it messes up my automation with consumables.

Really? You claiming WG thinks 3cv games are not good but couldn't find a programmer willing and able to sneak a 'hey let's limit it' in the current patch? WG didn't know in time that Hosho is killing the fun at low tiers specifically? They didn't have the time or resources to fix it in time for the current patch? I don't give a rats behind about blanket statements made, they also said there will be no submarines remember ;)

It's not like WG has ever listened to 388 pages of feedback, so I feel Sun's wall of text messages are a bit lost here and there. Even if he's right sometimes :P Getting hard to stay motivated and interested, the current state of Hosho and WG claiming everything is fine.... 3 CV games are fine, we should all just stop whining about it and play, or move on I guess.

You just reacted to one famous one, seems you have issues deducting who's who. A little tip: the one's with hidden profiles usually aren't very helpful, they make blanket statements and want to discuss balance often aided by their anecdotes about the game which usually are really far fetched, or even just plain silly or worse, pretty dumb. These discussions always go like: a. yes but give specific example please so we can discuss your issue b. no I just think that in general X and Y should not do Z a. please give an example of where this happens b. it's not needed to give an example, just reply to what I just wrote a. what you wrote makes no sense, it's impossible b. you're statshaming me whaa whaa But let's not forget the most important aspect here: helpful is sometimes also being blunt. So no, you accusing 'everyone else' of cheating is laughable at the very best, but mostly I feel a bit sad. Sad that a troll like you can come to the forums, claim people are cheating, and then accuse 'forum users' of being that what you already proven to be.

It's not the same, you have choices which put you in positions where those situations might occur or not, you have no choice, no interaction with CV's. I actually think the RTS system was BETTER in that regard, DFAA was actually useful.

Enterprise, I'll just spread em wide and you just ram it in deep ok that way it will be done quicker! That would make to much sense to be a hidden easteregg, in fact I'm pretty sure that if this is what they wanted to hide, they lost it before they found a good hiding spot. -

I can't really see how making the game crap for everyone else is going to fix WG's perception... even if you're right about giving them the 'data' they seemingly seem to lack atm. Frankly I actually think WG knows it's absolute dog poo but hey they got to make it look like REEwork worked great so no changes negatively to Hosho when she is pulling in the player numbers.... you might even be giving WG the wrong idea, that they need to put broken stuff in the game or people wouldn't play their new content.

Really? So that's why it's fine? Let's bring back stealth fire then, it at least took more skill to use effectively as playing carriers. And no it's not the same. 1. Stealth DD can't attack accross entire map. 2. For rain of fire from behind island he needs a spotter, there is at least SOME teamwork there. Also, rain can be dodged more as CV's can, shell time for rain is literally right up there. 3. ??? wut ???

Shhhhhh spreadsheet says it's fine, last patch notes were devoid of changes to miss Hosho so leave her be, it's not her fault we noobs can't evade torpedoes.

Why are you trying to change the subject, we're talking about the interaction of players against endless waves of planes from tier 4 CV's, pictures including in the OP. We're sorry you're probably not very good at playing CV's but this is not the topic about that, we could make a new one though if you want?

With two CV's ( let alone 3... ) in one game the amount of planes they can send out on targets is just to high, regeneration rate is to high for a *some* of the carriers which is evident when in late game CV is still being able to field full strike wings. You can't do anything, there is absolutely no counter play options. And yeah he did live longer but the point I was trying to make is: is it fun? Where is the damage mitigation? You know, what makes this game attractive to good players is that there are ways to be better at is as other people, it's a challenge. There is no challenge against carriers since, especially in a BB, you can't really do much. Section reinforcement does not offer the same kind of player interaction ( results ), you rely on your dps to shoot down planes but you know they regenerate just as quick and will be back shortly ( especially on low tier small maps ).

And how does this change how much interaction / influence as a player you have against planes which keep regenerating and keep coming after you? Like I said, it's exactly the same as the stealth fire concept where people cried it was bad because 'you can't do anything against it'. Losing planes means nothing if they keep having enough to keep attacking, and the Hosho sinking has no relation to the game experience of OP at all. The fact that there is no counterplay mostly. Please put up the replay so we can how you got outplayed by enemy CV. I am really curious what kind of unicum gameplay from the CV's we'll be seeing.

You are absolutely right, REEwork failed, BB's got buffed ( you would have died quicker post rework most likely ) other classes got shafted harder in comparison as per usual and in fact this constant attrition of planes which keep coming after you is EXACTLY the same as stealth fire in that you can't do JACK ALL about it except hoping your team might display some common sense and play with overlapping AAA... which frankly still would suck since it means you'll have to join the camping BB's at 20km and you can't use your guns because you're out of range entire game. Not that I think overlapping AA on tier 4's and 5's are really going to make a difference, but hey spreadsheet says it's balanced comrade! Yeah but some people actually enjoy the game more now... I know right, disgusting but true.

So WHAT if you shoot down his planes, WTH kind of influence does it have on his game / survival? Those planes still keep coming, there is no effect, just delaying the inevitable. Don't make it look like it's anything else as stealth fire, whaa whaaa I am getting shot and I can't do anything against it whaa whaaa whaaaa But hey, this time BB's actually got BUFFED with CV rework since all the other classes got crap on making them much more vulnerable to bad players with their noobtubes.

Frankly I just played two games and I am wondering why in gods name I'm still holding on to this being an actual fun game? First game 44% wr Montana spends entire game ACTIVELY HIDING behind his team which frustrated the HELL out of me and made me just not shoot and stay behind him until he died. I even turned off my AA so enemy CV could work a bit quicker. Next game I get a tier 6 IJN DD without cammo, and yup another 44% player with more battles as me. No snowflakes I'm not statshaming, I really couldn't give a rats behind about their stats, it's the WHY they have those stats. WHY the ..... do you play your Montana from 20km entire game untill your team is dead? Why the ..... are you to cheap to put a cammo on your IJN DD? Why am I hoping for a playerbase like we had around cbt, where people actually tried to not be 'that guy', when it should be clear by now it's only getting worse.

*skip if not interested, it's pretty off topic I'm already doing pretty well with Huangmeh so I can imagine if Perth was so exploitable WG changed it not in view of CV promotion but in order to fix an imbalance. And unlike Belfast which can't be fixed since it requires changing a premium ship which people paid for, changing a mechanic so a premium doesn't overperform... Most premium ships were quite good at stealth fire, some were even promoted with their excellent stealth fire window iirc. But this is totally different since dual spotter plane was due to a captain skill, and Perth just happens to be in a position where it could exploit that skill the most. What I miss most btw, and that might surprise people, is the longer duration fighter on battleships. That guy was my little scout when I needed to get close to islands or when my spidersense kicked in, and it still required some planning to get him to be where you want him ( I know a certain someone who was obsessed with knowing in which direction each ship launched their planes.. and most would call him a pretty guy player I guess ).
