Playing with Esu is kind of cheating, especially if you only play DD divisions The games I lost btw where tier 8's, and mostly in my new Amagi. Might be indeed me being not that comfortable with the BB meta at tier 8, need some more experience there. It's just very frustrating if you get into tier X battles where the allied Des Moines hide behind you when the enemy Shima's are < 6 km in front off me popping in and out of spotting range I remember that, sorry. Was a nice game though thanks -
Mods don't always show actual content. It might just be there for some event / promotional thing. I for one hope subs won't ever come to WoWs, no submarine has EVER taken part in combined fleet actions so it's a> not realistic. And submerged subs are very slow so it would be b> totally boring. And people are already complaining about stealth torping DD's, so adding hidden submarines would c> cause all hell to break lose. Did I already say submarine gameplay would be incredibly boring for the one playing, and incredibly frustrating to the one's playing against them? You would need to add actual destroyers, you know not the torpedo boat's we have now, but actual submarine hunters, and this would upset the meta enourmously causing all kind of rebalancing and turmoil. No, please, keep those out of the game. I hear this other naval warfare game, which claims to be the 'daddy' of wows since it was made earlier.., has subs. Go to their forum and read up about how people like them. Or, dl and play a few games, I bet you'll be back really soon and will never ask for submarines in World Of Warships ever again.

It's a progressive scale, first if you're pink you can still deal full dmg to allies without getting it reflected, but the more damage you do to allies the more damage is reflected as well as the amount of damage you would inflict to them is lowered. In the end you will get all damage reflected on yourself without being able to deal damage to allies at all. But this takes a long time, and most people won't ever see someone who gone so far over the edge of sanity that they will notice he is no longer able to deal damage to allies at all.

I was at 14 out of 16 this afternoon. Took a break, had diner and went on with a division while TB's were up. I lost seven games in a row ( and all the players are 60% or up give or take a few... so no potato's ). I came to the conclusion the other good players where all playing TB's or got in the enemy team -
Sometimes BB's have to turn out, doesn't mean some aren't just cowards as you say but it's not always the case... 'This user profile is private'....

I would try and contact one of the CC, I remember reading one saying that such excesses indeed can't be handled through the automated system and that if it happened they would step in, or well something along those lines.- 7 replies

I always complain to my division mates about them stealing all my damage, it's highly annoying to say the least -
What I want to know, is who voted 'no' without comment Makes no sense, they don't want to make them tier X because not enough people would play them then ( not enough tier X's it seems ) but as you point out not many would play tier 9's if the credit economy will prevent it. So, unless they want a very low population playing next round team battles they really do need to do something about this.

And, WG has catered to you already, you can completely disable seeing any 'cartoon' content in the game So, just be happy WG has more markets to create revenue on, it's only going to be beneficial for the longevity of the game.

There are nubs playing CV's at higher tier already, no one denies that. But everyone hates having them on your team. Nub in a BB, annoying as heck but you can still win. Nub in your only CV, game get's a lot harder to win. That is the issue with CV's, they are such a big influence on the game ( and rightfully so, but that also means the skill of the carrier captain in your team is highly influential compared with most of the others ).

That is still only max 2 people per game which would be influenced negatively, vs 11 in all other scenario's.

I cleaned DLC and stuff already a few times, it never worked for me since 5.3. Might be combination with the HP bars? I will try it again in a few and report back. Thanks for clearing up kvalme vs monstrofill minimap

I am NOT worried about WG's money making potential here, not when it would interfere with the gameplay experience as much as having total nubs playing in carrier in anything other than the lowest tiers

Try hard faillers will get it, just as they can fail themselves to high 'rankings' ect, but it's still going to weed out some if not most of the faillers.

What is the diff between Kvalme and Monstrofill's minimap, they look the exact same on the preview ( before hitfixed installer, didn't check new one )? Also, Swordfish icon's are broken each time I install them they don't show up just stock icons, had to switch to some other nice graphical icons.

Only carriers are capped at two per team and one per division, might be a reasonable indication of why premium ( mid - high ) tier CV should be restricted to those who know how to play them. Make it so it can only be bought after completing some CV related missions which are not to ffin easy to get, problem solved. BB's are not hard capped at two per match with one per division max, and it's for a reason.

The screen doesn't need to be seen, as long as it's there and the enemy will know it's there because they will get spotted by the DD's while they can't see them ( and everyone takes situational awareness especially DD/CA/CV and imo even BB, and if they don't they are not worth being bothered about anyway ). A DD doesn't need AAA, I don't know why you mention it since it's irrelevant to the task of screening? DD's armor is it's stealth, and it's deterring scare factor because they light you up for the entire enemy team. The problem with this is that when I pull back, if the BB was close enough behind me, it means I will leave him very exposed to the enemy DD's. A good enemy BB will expect me to turn in again to not leave my BB's to exposed, and will just hold fire until I do or until I will be far enough for one of his DD's to close distance with the BB I just left alone. This is where all the 'whines' on forum and in game about 'pusycat' cruisers come from ( BB Mafia is well represented here ). But as I wrote a couple of times already, it's not that I never play as you're describing, sometimes you have no other choice. But if we have DD's, it's their job to screen, not CA's. CA's should be behind the DD's ( far enough to not get spotted before the DD's would be spotted, but close enough to engage any DD being lit up by your DD's/any enemy CA being a threat to your DD's ). That still puts them in front of the BB's, just not in the role of pushing enemy DD's ( certainly not in the opening fase of a game where that DD will have full support behind him ).

I voted no, but if I were to ever change my opinion it would be in support of this proposal. I don't want nubs who don't know what their doing playing a class which is the only hard capped class in the game for a reason.

This is a DD's job, not a CA. CA at 12km from multiple BB's is a dead CA, easy target, you can't keep turning in circles and even if you do it's close enough for a decent BB captain to time your turn. One BB, you can time your turns with his salvo's, but you can't even do that with two of them let alone more. And BB's tend to prioritize cruisers when they are at that distance. My job as an (IJN) cruiser is to support DD's screening by engaging CA's which threaten them and enemy DD's which they light up. In USN CA's I'm playing more as AAA escort and less as DD support ( though will do both if possible ). In my limited experience with GE CA's I just play support at close to max ranges. It might not be the best way of playing, as it requires the DD's to do their ffin job ( screening ) but it is the most effective. Try to screen with a Zao against Shima's, you can eat two torps and you will live but 3 and you're dead. And if you don't know where he's coming from, you don't have a chance to avoid them all, and if you know where they are probably coming from, you will probably still eat one at least. As said above, DD's should screen BB's, not CA. If you're playing low to mid tier, CL's can properly screen because they are harder to hit ( smaller size ) and they can turn better. And low tier torps won't outright kill you or effectively end your match right then and there. edit: if there are no DD's, I screen as good as I can, and yes that usually means I forgo on dealing much damage during that stage as I'm constantly dodging torpedo's and incoming BB salvo's, but it's really unrewarding in any way atm ( no assisted damage ). So, you need damage to get XP, and you are doing less damage when 'properly' screening, combined with the fact that randoms are just a bunch of random players, it's hard to expect teamwork. I had a terrible day today, worst session in months ( 25% win rate ). Didn't even play that bad, but not enough to carry the huge amount of FAIL I encountered in my teams today. Having destroyers in a domination map just refuse to even try and cap, an allied Amagi which was cursing the team because 'he was doing all the work' and my flank was not doing anything while I did ~85k damage and sank 3 ships in my Myoko and got more xp than him. Or a carrier which blatantly refused to spot the enemy Kageroo and who almost lost us the match were it not for an allied atago having a monster game ( well 2.2k base xp, I only had 2k base xp ). It is just randoms.. I had games where I spend almost the whole match screening for my BB's and in the end they said I was not 'helping the team'... because they don't understand what I was doing, what I had to do because our only DD ( fletcher ) refused to do it and instead decided to go on a suicide run right into a group off enemies for no reason ( other then maybe suiciding so he could get a better matched team ). It is very very hard to keep faith in people actually being able to make use of 'proper screening' and as explained it is very risky and basically only rewards you with a win rather than a defeat. And if you play for damage, you can do the same XP and credits if not more than in a victory. We really need assisted damage, it would make more people try and screen properly, and with that we would have more people who are familiar with the concept and capable of actually making use of it.
