Who is exactly denying this? I for one think that DD's should be incited to cap, before they did not and they would play like damage whores for the most part instead of playing for the victory. Damage whoring might be nice, I like the tactical play to try and cap/defend cap zone's more. The amount of XP isn't that out of line imo, there are plenty of games where I cap two zones defend one and assist in another capture and still get less XP than a BB with no kills but who did 160k damage or something. Damage alone isn't enough, it doesn't give points ( not does it remove points or combat ability from the enemy team ), now if you have high damage and quite a few kills I am sure you will still get more XP than a DD, unless the DD actually was even more instrumental in getting a victory. WoWs isn't 100% centered on damage and I'm glad for that, I might be an exception but if I could get 100% win rate by never getting spotted and just securing/defending objectives while the 'big boys' slug it out ( and defend me from CA/CL's coming to close, assist against other DD's ect ect ), I would try it I am to lazy to check, but can you post your max xp from all your ships so we can see how big the differences are ( or, max and average )?

52% is actually good, the average iirc is atm 48%. Your battle count is still low still though so win rate with so few battles is not as telling as it will be with several thousands of battles ( 5k - 10k imo should give a rather stable view ). One thing though, playing for the win is NOT padding someone else's win rate stat, it's giving you a victory as well. If you really say you click battle without caring if you win or lose, meaning you're one of the people who rather keep shooting at some afk BB instead of going back to defend cap ( because it's perhaps 'more fun'? ), well I'm happy you're enjoying screwing the other 11 people out of a possible victory just in order for you to 'have fun'. But I'm hoping I got that wrong, and that you like all the others in your team press battle to try and win the game mostly. If not, I'd hope you'd enjoy PVE instead of PVP, but that's just my opinion. Otherwise, no one cares about how good you are really as long as you try, well ok some might get salty if you're really bad ( which again, doesn't apply to you ), but 'feck them' as long as you're trying to win games it's all good. Also, people who care to much for 'hard core' play, team battles and for some even ranked battles is more competitive in that regard.

But you ARE getting awarded for improving your play. You're doing more damage and winning more games at the same time, isn't that enough I agree 200% that teamplay should be encouraged, but giving XP for DD's screening and spotting would only add to their overall XP gain, so if/when we might eventually get this, the XP from capping should be adjusted down. <selfish_mode> Until then, please keep it as is, I am playing a lot of DD's and the faster XP gain is highly appreciated </selfish_mode> edit: btw, XP afaik also takes into account tier difference, aka you get more XP if you damage higher tier ships. Maybe your previous XP was higher because you were playing lower tier getting into matches more as bottom tier, and now you're playing at higher tiers where you meet more lower tiered opponents?

I tend to stay between IV and VIII, playing high tier games is not recommended without divisions ( including a competent carrier ) imo. I only play my Kagero because I need to unlock Shimakaze, it's the only VIII+ I play atm. I quit a few times, started Dying Light to slash some zombies, came back, lost some more, quit again, saw Jedi streaming thought I could give it another try and started winning some matches. Not enough to get a reasonable win rate but I got some triples in and that was the main thing. I agree fully, people were frustrated. I mean we had a team with 3 48% players the rest 52% or higher and still entire chat was filled with noob this and [censored] that. Not one of them had XVM, this was one of the few situations I think XVM would actually prevent toxic chat

Nope, sure sometimes it was pretty bad but other times we had all green players and still played badly, was a lot off talk in chat about 'everlasting terrible teams' so I guess even the good players got discouraged to the point of being to emotionally invested to play objectively ( happens to me as well ).

i got lucky mostly, 3 kills but not much damage. Ran into _Ghostbuster the other day, or better said he ran into my torps aimed at someone else entirely Then I aimed some fish at some Benson iirc, and he had an healthy appetite. I talked with an enemy Iowa, ensuring him I had fresh fish for him to, he said he didn't like fish A DD came out to play, I killed him with guns I think, but the Iowa really didn't like fish so he killed me before I could get concealment back. Our team still won iirc, but I'm not even sure atm.

Not needed, over a large enough sample size the MM is similar for everyone, so you can just use win rate imo. edit: It would be nice to see when hitting a 'dry spot' that you still been playing well, but you could even use avg xp in those recent games and it would tell the same. Also, who cares if you were first in the team if you still did badly ( which happens, quite a lot ). If you had a stellar game and almost single handedly carrier the team off bots, you would see that in your XP gain.
