Why do you think you could even begin to claim you're capable of judging others before yourself?
-
Ow noes don't apologize, I do like seal clubbing just not in that thing, the cost to load up the gold is just to high
-
I should remember, I was in it But meh bad memory I guess
-
If that was true I would have actually played the thing more than the SIX battles I have in her now
-
This Kuma class cruiser just has the nicest voice.. Sadly I don't have Yubari in my fleet
-
They they shouldn't have advertised it as such, I bought a Pz II J mostly because I would use the gold in WoWs anyway for instance...
-
It seems easy on the receiving side
-
I haven't played WoT in a long time, but once a month or so I update my client log in and extend my premium time ( and maybe play the odd game now and then ).
-
Yubari <3 Only in port though

Top 1% of games played during CBT got an iirc 5 point commander to start the new lines with in OBT ( I was in top 1% with ~1200 games played ). It wasn't a 19 point commander, but it did give a nice boost to start with ( though, how useful is it when you consider that in order to benefit from the 'more experienced captain' throughout the line would mean having to retrain the captain for much longer on each new tier/unlocked ship ).

That sounds nice in theory, let's agree to disagree on the reflected damage part.
-
I might not have studied Engrish but this seems to be not quite that arbitrary indeed, that's what I been doing!

And yet you fail to actually respond in a way indicating you see the problem with that suggestion. It is VERY easy to troll people by either constantly block them from launching or eating a 'friendly' torp, so 100% reflected damage would do nothing to prevent grieving it would only change the methods involved in doing so.

EU Team battles, my thoughts after ~200 games
mtm78 replied to adeliselol's topic in General Discussion
Because you can enter queue with two 'friendly' teams and arrange the outcome of the battle beforehand obviously. The same rigging which is so blatantly being done in WoT during missions is not something which should be possible in WoWs. In my experience I think I met the same team in the same session only once, all other days we never ran into the same team twice. The next day, or a later session, sure, but not in the same session. -
No no guys, obvious CHEAT, it says so in the thread title!!eleveneleven!!one Ow, OP, please, research before crying wolf.
-
That never worked as is not the mods fault but the lack of this information through WG's game engine. The same applies to WoT with spotting damage.
-
You seem to misunderstand what I wrote.
-
I like the idea of 100% self reflected damage on a certain level, but come on think it through I see you in game, for some reason I don't like you and I deliberately try to be in a position the whole match where I could throw myself on a friendly torpedo from you ( aimed at a legitimate enemy ) Wouldn't work, sorry. And shells not doing damage to friendlies, that one is far easier to defend as indeed the only counter argument is immersion. Still not sure if I would like to sacrifice immersion, because if they did it would still not fix anything. It is far easier to make the TK system harsher in detection and penalties than it is to teach a system to detect more elaborate griefing like pushing/blocking allies on purpose.

Again, totally bypassing that their main targets are vastly different which explains imo the avg damage discrepancy between them. A DD which targets BB's and occasionally CA's vs one which should be the ideal counter vs those exact DD's vs one which is more like a small cruisers which excels in fighting DD's ( when spotted by others mostly ofc, as any stealth DD can avoid one on it's own ) and distracted variety of other classes, which one will get more damage in? And, which one would actually be more influential in a battle on it's own ( discarding the 5 shima a side situations )?
-
The issue with that is that they wouldn't be able to make up complete separate BC lines afaik, which would create issues with MM balancing ( if you can't match a tier XYZ BC on one team, what do you match it with? Especially because players already revolted about the 'unbalanced' team size solution where teams with fewer but higher tier ships were fighting teams with more but lower tiered ships ). And you can't expect people to say yes to higher queue time just to wait for the 'matching' counterpart to be available on the enemy team ( well I probably would be ok with it, but I can't talk for everyone and frankly I expect that a significantly large part of the players wouldn't agree ).
-
Well but there is a simple issue here, spots are almost always only effectively adding to an engagement until the ships start firing, the fire penalty to most ships in most engagements ( excluding some stealth builds ) mean that after the initial spot there is not much assisted damage to be given out? Well, maybe a proximity bonus which would aid ships closer to targets or something?
-
But what is wrong with them being able to HURT you, that is their job. As long as teamwork can overcome their alluded OP'ness, them being able to deal damage is imo working as intended. The amount of damage when talking about Shimakaze is higher then the other DD's, but you have to take into account primary targets. Gearing does great in an anti DD role, and will need to kill several DD's to get a high damage count, same goes for Kharb, while Shimakaze preys upon ships with much higher HP pools so in that sense it is logical to have a higher average damage. No, the problem imo is mostly the lack of teamwork, something which would perhaps be different if people were actually encouraged. Spottings bonuses, heck even giving people the ability to point one or two ships on their team as 'mvp' manually which would then receive a bonus in XP/credits would possible already change the current lack of teamwork.
-
Don't agree, but it all depends on the details of how it would be implemented. Range/Rof/Dmg/Dispersion/Concealment. Also, if MM takes into account weight of ships then classifications would matter ( see controversion about limiting amount of DD's per game ). And if you classify it as cruiser, it would be OP for the slot it would take ( ofc depending on above ) and classified as BC/BB at tier 9 - 10 it would be UP because lack of armor. The classifications is exactly what makes it hard to implement in a balanced way imo.

[quote name= Chestike the donkey ie the threshing floor This makes little sense but I don't think it's a compliment
