  1. Alright, on topic this time, let's hope we can keep it there... BAD: - No gold/doubloons unification - MM ( being worked on ) - Interface both in game and port ( in game is already improving ) - I would like some more game modes. - No clan support BUT I also don't know for sure how it should look. I play WoWs with different people I play WoT, I would like the possibility to be in different clans for different games. - Patch notes being incomplete at times ( goes for all regions, not just EU ) - Sometimes questions on forums take long to get answers, I hear it's worse in some language specific sections. This is not due to mods, CC's or CM's imo even though they take the slack for it ). - Support for interface scaling is absent still ( many people with high res setups complain about this ) - Reporting system could use some attention, make Karma both mean something and have some utility. - More maps, and reworking some maps where the design is promoting static play. - Most news concerning issues and development comes from a community contributor ( aka volunteer ) which translates them from RU and posts them on the forum here. I think having official translations and even better our own Q&A would bring the EU community closer to the developers. Good - Mod support, mods which want to access the python game engine need to be signed preventing a lot of malicious mods to function. - Coming down on aimbot users and their applications, preventing them from working in the first place. - Overall gameplay in tier 5-8 ( most attractive tiers imo ) - Details of existing ships and levels, there are some 'mistakes' but overall considering the game engine Lesta has done a stunning job. - Not afraid to admit mistakes, like with making to big balance changes, or with removing the 20km torps from IJN DD's ( which imo wasn't a mistake to be in the game, they aren't as much an issue in CBT because the levels of teamplay were MUCH higher ). - All the lines in the game are perfectly viable, I'm getting pretty consistent performance over all the nations and classes ( except carriers... I can't play carriers my brain refuses to click on those BB's ). - Loading times of matches has increased drastically. I could go on but these are the most important one's I guess. -

    Why what is this sorcery, only 36 posts but already so full of wisdom Only aimbots are having a hard time right now because WG is killing them on each patch, and 'radar' hack is also not possible because the client only knows where ships are if the server tells them.
  3. Can you correlate those numbers with average performance for players playing them? If not, it doesn't proof anything. RichardNixon tracks such things ( using WG API collecting statistics ) and afaik last time he wrote something about VMF CA's it did indicate that it was the better players who were boosting it. Anyway, nice thread, one visit from Von_Boeg and it's 100% focussed on 'RU BIAS!!!!1111!!!!'

    Ow Aslain, do you have any insight if it will be possible in the future to combine minimap with the smoke circles mod? The latter has been updated and it's stable now ( and only shows circles within 3km!!! ) but there is one conflicting pyc file and I can't get it stable with either one using the two mods. I also don't think just trying to decompile both and add missing functions to one combined pyc will work due to signing so I guess the developers have to make them compatible with eachother themselves

    Uhm this game doesn't work like that, it's not WoT where team killers are free for all. Shooting pink players counts as exactly the same team damage as shooting 'normal' allies. I know you know, but I just wanted to emphasize it And the pink status is visible for everyone to make it visible that the system works, not so much to let you know of potential danger ( because, due to the working of the system, people in WoT you would have to be worried about, well if they do that in WoWs they will just kill themselves ). It's making visible that there are repercussions to doing damage to allies, and yes I also use it in other ways like not going in front of pink CA's with torps in my DD's, or not between pink DD and a cap/likely place enemies will be spotted but those uses are not the main intent I think.

    Bluenicums are 'almost' unicums, and if you call the red guys Tomato's and the average guys Apples and everything in between, even 'great' players deserve their own 'nickname'? And tbh, it's just some 'rating', it's nothing serious ( and tbh I didn't like the recent changes to WTR calculations, putting way to much emphasis on damage if you ask me ).

    True, I strongly support this approach rather than outright saying statistics mod is a nono but I'm not sure on the official stance right now. I've tried to find out, but I've yet to get an answer It works like once in 20 games or so, at least for me, and afaik this is the case for most. I find it hard to believe the effect is already noticeable in game in this state?

    Trying to only play OP ships when they are not 'suited' for your playstyle doesn't work, look at me. I got a Molotov and every good player says it is incredibly strong yet I've only got <40k avg dmg in her, while they can pull double. And I'm split between CA and DD as 'strong points', and not a bad player if I say so myself. OP ships won't help if they are not also ships which with you 'click'. I mean, Gremmy is considered quite OP but I seen people having really abysmal stats on her. Same with people complaining about Arkansas Beta, most don't even consider it OP, but it and Imperator Nicolai I are the best tier IV BB's in performance. The difference between those two however is that for Impregnator it's mostly the ship, and for Arkensaus it's mostly the players

    Yes we are, write an application and I'll add you to the community. Keep in mind we're a startup so to say, which should be evident from our own forums, but we've recently added two new instructors and our member count is growing We don't do 1 on 1 training, we organize training room sessions and do group lessons, but asking instructors for some division time is free ( just don't assume they always have time ). Keep in mind that all the people involved are also foremost players who do this for fun and we'll all have a great time ( and hopefully become much better players )

    Tomato - red -> more a paperweight on your team then an asset, prone to being useless and actually doing things stupid enough to help the enemy team win Orange - orange -> better then tomato, but barely Potato - yellow -> not terrible, but still below average Apple - green -> average player { bluenicum - blue -> Good player | All different shades of blue, the darker the 'better' | \/ unicum - purple -> best players on server making up a very small percentile of total players RNG = Random Number Generator aka how much Lord Hamsterius likes your sacrifices. If you donate enough virgins, he will give you many devastating strikes, but if you don't he will give you only overpenetrations. Beware of the difference between UNICUM's and UNISCUMS, the former being generally quite helpfull and willing to discuss various aspects of gameplay, able to listen to opposite views without constantly resorting to: your stats are bad, shut up plox. UNISCUMS on the other hand are players who would push you out in WoT so they can use your wreck as cover, can't have a discussion about game mechanics without constantly talking about how big their epeen is and how small the other guys, totally ignoring anything actually relevant in the discussion. edit: XVM uses a rating formula, which judges people on win rate, damage, kills and those things. This formula is constantly being revised to increase 'accuracy' so there been many iterations of it already.

Also, just fyi, it's 'most likely' a bad translation from 'unsportsmanlike conduct' and has nothing to do with poor play. Which is contradicting each other since 'unsportsmanship conduct' reports in other games can lead to sanctions ( after manual review iirc, well at least I would hope so ).

    Maybe they deserved it? edit: idk who got banned, I got some sympathy for the action since I learned about how the contest -> prize distribution went, but spamming the recruitment topic from SGWA just removed all that for those involved. It was just bothering other forum users and had no impact on WG, big mistake.

    But realistically, you can't expect WG to prevent fail divisions yet allow some ships to continue. Also, Umikaze works in higher tier games but depends there on the captain being better then would be required from a captain in a same tier DD, you can't expect WG to allow or disallow based on skill. I would also say you _could_ take Atlanta with a tier 9 /10 CV and act as AAA biatch and it wouldn't be a total fail. Some ships, especially stealth DD's, can scale through tiers but they are exceptions and they still need very skilled captains and favorable teams and enemies to get the most out of it. So, while it would remove this option from some people who could actually pull it off, in the wider interest of the game I think it's better to draw a single line.

    WG did indicate quite clearly they were not happy with the effect of showing in game statistics ( because it 'increased toxicity' according to most ).
