65.52% 46,335 1,663 1.1 2.1 59% 1,615 That's my WR / DMG / XP / SHIP KILLS / PLANE KILLS / SURVIVAL RATE / WTR for that tier 7 GE CA. It's perfectly fine imo Just, don't shoot AP to often, it's not worth it imo. Messes up your lead as well due to way different trajectories ( different muzzle velocity and shell weight ).

Email about welcome gift but no welcome gift?
mtm78 replied to zcc1121's topic in General Discussion
No actually I feel bad for getting it, I didn't need an incentive to keep playing. I've also won a Marblehead through a random draw already, I'm not out for more 'free' stuff if it means other people feel left out. But, the concept isn't flawed, many companies do the same, and Daki's post I quoted twice imo applies perfectly together with what I posted here -> Which is basically saying: I got lucky, I shouldn't get lucky next time. -

But you DO want everyone to get free stuff, that is your entire debate! edit: And 'it would be ok if those who didn't get it wouldn't know about those who did' makes as much sense as 'security through obscurity'. -

Didn't Germany like many other EU countries at the time, have colonies in Afrika? Didn't they have soldiers who were native to those colonies fighting in their regular armies? Don't answer, they are not questions http://www.blackpresence.co.uk/remembrance-day-black-asian-soldiers-in-ww1/ -

I am defending the concept, not the company, if you're able to differentiate between the two And no one says the giveaway is 'just a freebie'. I said the concept works by a> getting exposure b> doing something positive for the community ( giving away free stuff ). That some people feel left out because they didn't get free stuff ( this time around ) and decide to try and strongarm the company in giving everyone free stuff, says more about those people then about the concept. Let me quote something again. -

That is one opinion. That is another. -
I can't say because you only played premium ships so far. What do you like playing? If you had played more games in different classes, we could see which suited your playstyle the most. Or do you just want to know the 'flavour of the month' aka the ship (line's) which are considered the 'easiest'? Low tier IJN DD's are considered really good ( Isokaze, Minekaze are the highlight there ). IJN CA's are very good as well. And IJN BB's lead to the Mighty Yamato. Ow wait, did I just mention the 3 lines I did from the start ( well BB's only now, currently waiting to buy Izumo sometime )? I get consistent results in all nations though, and throughout all classes ( except carriers ), so if you'd ask me they are all viable choices depending on what you enjoy yourself.

Am I bad if I play Yorck in RB's? I hate my Myoko ( ARP with the captain doesn't matter ), well maybe not hate but it's just not something I feel good sailing around in. Also, capping wins most games, why should it not be rewarded? -
All the best in your new endeavours, we will miss you(r beard )

You're making assumptions ( you even say it yourself ) and assumptions are always dangerous to make. That you tie not receiving a gift with not being seen as valued, that you assume that WG's criteria has anything to do with directly being tied to expected monetary gains, that is why you 'deduct' ( from those assumptions ) that people should feel like you do. What isf the 'strategy' for picking out people had nothing to do with 'spending habits' but with 'just get an X percentage of players ( maybe based on some criteria's we don't know ) but with a> generating exposure b> doing something positive for the community. Because, most people actually see a company giving away free stuff as doing something positive for the community, it seems only a few who didn't get something are being really unhappy about it and trying to make something out of it which isn't there to start with. -

That doesn't work for DD's though, if they don't push a cap right away they are even more reliant on their team to be able to cap it later in the game. -

I am disappointed you didn't reply to the other part of the post, it is much more important then the 'NO' part And again, I understand the frustration but you're trying push a conviction which is just nonsense. WG is not saying: if you didn't get a free ship, we don't want you to play the game ( or pay us money ). That is just silly. -
Predicting the influence of new mechanics is not something you can do with 100% certainty, even not during a Public Test Server iteration ( though it's the best you can get, outside of a sandbox server for WoWs :hiding ). You can come really close, and you should be right almost all the times, but you can not expect it to be the case always. And I'm with you btw, I don't like meeting ships with radar extending beyond my stealth DD torp range ( 7km Minekaze... ). And it already does meet Indianapolis, but they are rare and if I see one I often just switch flanks. Radar should force DD's to be aware of a great risk if trying to torpedo from really close ( for their tier/ability ) not to punish anything which is in normal effective engagement ranges. Imagine every tier 6 CA having 8km radar, you would basically be locked out of the battle or you have to GAMBLE. And gambling != skill. I want a skill based game, not a luck based one.

Range isn't everything. Skilled players can work around that because depending on the map and game mode range isn't the determining factor. edit: There are a few situations in which I curse having taken Warspite, the worst being getting Ocean while matched against higher tier BB's. Ocean will be a curse for Warspite for eternity. But some of the more constricted maps, you can work with the limited range because you those maps all contain funnels where this lack of range is largely irrelevant.

No. 1. So if there is a random draw of anything, anyone who doesn't get picked is not because of random draw but because off 'less worth' ( assuming it is a random draw ). 2. As a result of 1. being bogus, assuming any meaning from not being in the list of people who got picked is also invalid. Yes ( bet you didn't expect that did you ), it is a bit off a mess. And no ( sorry.. ), it's not that bad, IF the next 'lottery' has only people who did not get something prior. Having a 'random' or even semi random draw is pretty common, and on it's own not a bad thing as long as it is either really random or if it's based on certain criteria's ( which might not always be prudent to disclose since it might cause people to try and fit those for a next draw ) and if the eligible people for such draw don't overlap on multiple events. -

So, Kiev << Blys? I think I would play Kiev if I had her instead of Blys ( my VMF DD captain is also fully specced unlike my Blys captain ). Also, I don't think I seen one Indianapolis yet edit: point in case, I think your statement would be much more valid for last season then for this one. -

ranked - first player of losing team dont lose a star , how to waste everybody time
mtm78 replied to Xmen's topic in General Discussion
Which is perfectly fair since the DD is taking the highest risks while capping If the game was decided by 'kill all', damage would count more, but it's mostly decided by cap control. Why would a DD not get more XP for capping twice and defending a couple of times against other DD's? It is the ship which is the most vulnerable the entire game ( I don't see many IJN DD's, it;s all gunboats which are not stealth firing either ), and if the enemy plays well they can often be the first to die ( or if allied team doesn't support well ). Well that's my opinion at least, DD's are taking the most risks and should have the highest rewards. On the other side, this doesn't work when this reward is not loosing a star and denying it to everyone else even if they also played exceptionally well. A system where classes are judged on their contributions evenly would be much fairer, but how would you do that? If there is a carrier on the enemy team, would you let a CA keep it's star for shooting down 40+ planes but not engaging the enemy DD's causing a loss due to cap points? For a BB, would you let it keep a star for doing 1xxk + damage, even if the damage is not done to enemy CA's but the enemy BB's causing enemy CA's to roam free, kill your DD's and eventually win the game through either map control or burning down the BB? With DD's it's much simpler: you cap, defend cap and that's it for your primary roles ( strategy wise ). You can engage other DD's in the process, but it's not even the main objective ( since as I said, most games I think are won due to points not due to killing all enemies? ). How should it work according to you then? Can you write down a proposal on how you think it should work, taking into account all classes and roles? I tried, I failed. Or not, depending on how you look at it, since I actually think that DD's are in RB's the main class. Cruisers support the DD's and if a CV is in play, the BB's, and the BB's engage enemy cruisers so your DD's can cap zones only engaged by enemy DD's which should ideally be engaged by your friendly CA's as well. Anyway I turn it, RB's resolve around DD's. Just as in randoms, if you got the best carrier in a division, you will most likely win most games ( and I do mean most, as in 70% + ) because the carrier is still the most dominant class in random battles ( again, if you got top players in them that is, more so then if they would be in any other class ). -

Retraining for doubloons is an option, but it only allows a shorter retraining period. I like the WoT system more, where you can retrain for silver dropping some skill points in the process.
