1. Torpedo's do have an arming distance, when you see the triangles appear over the torpedo's it means they are armed, if not they are unarmed and will just disappear on impact like a dud. 2. Ship sections/modules have HP, a section can be 'depleted' so that hitting it does no additional damage to the ship ( the remaining hitpoints are located in a different module ). This is why sometimes you can tank multiple torpedo's in a DD on very low health as long as all of them hit the same section.

So, no tier IX and X competitive play, not ever? Because you realize clan wars are tier X oriented right? Also, first complaint I hear about adding TOO MANY MUCH ships

Can I advice checking some youtube video's for those ships? Because yes, they might not be the best tier X ca ( Zao says hi ) and life for top tier CA's is really hard, but before trying to better the game, how about asking for tips on how to play them effectively?

I really don't want to cause a split between the community, those who want to stay on TS and those who want to use Discord. If you can get WG behind transferring everything, or merging different features, to another service which is in your eyes 'better' ( you will have to argument it with them directly.. ) I won't complain The benefits you mention from Discord sound like they would benefit the community as a whole.

Which is exactly the point of a brawler build no? I ran secondary build because of glorious 7.2km fire starting ability and DD finishing ability, but it's not that usable because for a true brawler you lack turret traverse. The soon as you meet more then one ship and they are not potato's you're in a world of hurt, as soon as you get a DD in secondaries range but he isn't on low HP already and your guns are not oriented favorably, you're in a world of hurt. Staying around 10-12km and using accuracy upgrade did give me way more devastating strikes on cruisers strangely enough ( but I have to admit, playing it more aggressive can be a lot of fun ).

Not fast enough to make a difference. Don't hate me for not knowing it from memory plox edit: What they are 'good' for is making people try to avoid them, or killing <5k hp CA's and even then it's a dice roll in my experience ( talking per torp actual damage ). They are 'good' because there is no mod telling people which torpedo's they are, so they will panic to avoid them giving you more time to increase distance or to try and outrun turret traverse, they are good because anything more then nothing is good, but they are more utilitarian than decisive in gameplay. That being said, I know some people have gotten very good torpedo damage games, so have I. But hey you don't often meet tier 5 BB's ( lower torpedo damage reduction ) which railroad into your torps the whole game ;)

Are you sure CW will be much different for you guys HE does damage but you need to hit the right spots and I never had an AP shell bounce because of an external mount. What would happen is your external mount get's destroyed but the shells doesn't pen your main armor so no penetration damage ( or worse ). Ship additions are well known to be coming, just read the news/forums/3rd party sites, unless you're living under a rock ( you can say you find it to slow a pace, but don't make it out like it's not happening at all ;) ). edit2: No new ships you say.... http://worldofwarships.eu/en/news/common/ze-germans-coming/

For tier X rewards, the missions should be for playing tier X. Imo, that is.

Mahan torps are also more numerous and have a higher alpha damage. Sims torpedo's ( long range one's ) can't even kill a 20hp Fuso when hitting all torps, they just lack the alpha. Sure, they are better then nothing, but it's not really it's "thing" so to say.

Copy pasta information is useless, everyone here can open wikipedia and read it there. If you want to suggest certain ships for premium, be more elaborate. Say why, which tier, comment on balancing factors, anything which shows you actually did more then just see a ship on wiki, think it would be fun to have in game, and just copy pasta the wiki article. As it stands, your threads/posts are more likely to be closed by moderators for being unconstructive then they have a chance of influencing WG into releasing anything you 'propose' as a premium or regular tech tree ship..

Excellent point! I was sure TS was in a sticky in newcomers section, I was wrong. It's not even in a community section sticky. I shall poke our overlords and through numerous offerings of virgins to Lord Hamsterius try to please them enough to bring back the sticky notifying people about the teamspeak server.

Exactly, why would we as a community give admin powers for a 'community' driven server to some 'owner' instead of letting that reside in an entity which is predictable and trustworthy? again: why are there people trying to push this away from current setup? Why do people assume that 'community' is not happy as it is? For voice com, TS works wonders, and for chat... well ok asking WG to fix the in game chat is proven to be not 100% effective so far . But to try and split community because some want to push some platform..

We have a free sponsored TS server thanks to WG EU, while there been times the server been unstable with very high user counts or during extreme server loads ( during some events ) this usually performs it's task for everyone. I don't like privately set up 'community' chat services, I don't even use discord but I can imagine that the one creating the channel/server/rooms has some power of what happens there. And if that is so, I rather have WG responsible for moderating this community than any single person or group for obvious reasons.
