Nothing in regards to battles not lasting long enough, that is mostly a playerbase issue.

Don't get spotted until battle is already underway, hang back a bit until your team is already engaging and then support the flank with the most ships. Whatever you do, never go alone in Pepsicola. Always angle bow towards BB's ( doesn't prevent citadels but lowers the chance of being hit there ), even if that means you're taking AP fire from other CA's ( your armor is actually not that terrible against 152 and even 203 AP shells giving some angling ).

Ow my addition is perfectly clear, I am saying your request for longer battles isn't shared by the player base overall. As to enjoying longer naval battles, it would be nice if WG would hurry up with officially implementing training rooms, even when they are accesible for everyone the editing required ( or installing a mod ) has put a lot of people off, since in training rooms you can run your own battle scenario's. But for random battles, nah, 20 minutes max is enough, and the fact that teams don't last that long because they forget the tactical importance of game objectives, well as I said you can't blame WG for the lack of skill of it's players now can you? And I don't just play to win, I could play every other game if that was the only thing about it, I also play this game because I like naval battles. But, this isn't a simulator, and as such it has arcade game rules including cap zone's and timers. Once you accept that this is not a simulator, it should be much easier to see why the rules as they are are needed. Again, longer battle scenarios, as well as coop missions and what not, might eventually be added as separate game modes. But it won't replace randoms battles.

MM does not take into account divisions, what it does try to attempt is to balance divisions on both teams. That might be explained as seeing divisions as stronger as random player, but the MM doesn't compensate that tier wise ( just by trying to put a division on the enemy team as well ).

Has been happening to people for a while now, it's a feedback mechanism on the MM for WG to gather player opinion through.

Yes, we want battles to last up to an hour, especially when there is ONE last DD left which can outrun anything on your team The point system is there with a good reason, and if you are constantly late in doing damage ( who the heck cares about damage anyway, the goal of the game is winning not doing damage! Tactical victories are the best, it means the enemy were terrible and didn't play for GAME OBJECTIVES ). There is NOTHING to improve there, well you can always argue the playerbase needs some skill improvements but hey, can't blame WG for that now can we....

Run the launcher, launch the game in safe mode. If it works in safe mode, remove your mods. Best would be using a modpack or a single mod, using multiple mixed mods can cause file conflicts ( which the modpacks tries to solve with merging files ). Edit: if it doesn't work in safe mode, run a file integrity check.

I think best would be posting some replays? I have a Blys, it's different guns but it starts fires on all BB's I can meet including Izumo and Iowa ( Izumo is harder, almost no superstructure to hit ). And that is with smaller gun's then Kiev has

He never penetrates ( HE citadels are a bug afaik ) but explodes on impact. I don't have Kiev yet, so I can't directly comment, but as far I can tell from watching streams and video's it has decent fire chance. Make sure you hit the deck or superstructure with HE, if you're doing zero damage hits with HE you're hitting highly armored parts of the ship which negates the HE damage ( or you're shooting at depleted sections ).

But this is the internet, that is how things work. If you're saying something I don't agree with and my stats are better, you're automatically wrong even if you said that water is wet and I disagreed Seriously though, the issue isn't in the game mode it's the people. I've had plenty of domination games last the full 20 minutes, it just depends on how people play. I guess Spithas is just so good he either wins every game in 10 minutes or tries to win only to find his team being potato, overextended and dying prematurely after which the potato team loses in 10 minutes. I mean, sounds plausible yes

Guys, it's because of how the patches work. They are not compressed new files, they are DIFF files. Which means, they contain ONLY the changed parts of files and their index, that is why a 100mb patch can change almost all files in the client ( if they wanted/needed to ). Processing off DIFF files is not taxing on drive throughput but on iops. SSD should therefore give a massive boost to patching.

I am strange I guess, I rather liked Yorck, she was 'different' and that made her challenging. Also, she has the best HE for GE CA's afaik, with decent fire chance. I got a stock Hipster now, I am not really impressed. Especially the rudder shift is not agreeing with me, but alas I realize this is because I am playing a stock hull. B hull should already help. About the AAA, even on stock hull I managed 26 plane kills yesterday, it's certainly not that bad.

Yes, you seem to not get the reasons your suggestions go against the WG game design ( yes, that includes revenue generation ). If you really want Age of Dreadnoughts, go get some game company to design that from the start. Or, wait for if/when WG will make something to cater to historical battles enthusiasts in a different setting than random battles.

First of all, your accuracy is not dependent on your own movement, you can go 40kts or sit still and your dispersion is the same. So stop sitting still You have a 31% account hit ratio. You hit better than me, I don't really see the problem there ;) Kiev has very flat arc, you should be able to get an above your account average hit ratio with it no issues. What distance are you engaging targets at, and which targets did you prioritize?

I know you tried to help but please think things through, not everyone has the same knowledge as you and it can be hurtful if you don't take that into account. The 'file integrity check' is essential, it will make sure the game files aren't corrupted ( or replaced by a mod )
