Why WoWS creates toxic players and fix
mtm78 replied to G01ngToxicCommand0's topic in General Discussion
OP's post... You want to know why my first two reactions were gif's? Because all of you are taking this topic serious when you shouldn't. It's weekend, we always have topics like these about bad players, they always have an unworkable 'fix/solution' and always some controversy appears where people clash over 'good players are toxic because they complain about bad players' vs 'bad players are toxic because they lower the amount of fun I have in game'. By Monday, this thread is most likely either closed or forgotten. Well ofc, you don't use account stats you look at class / individual ship stats. Still doesn't change the fact that WR is not based on luck, when having a large enough dataset ;) -
Stahp it you CV unicorn, we don't need reminding constantly how worthless our ships are in comparison to yours
-
You see bad plays from all classes, but in topics created, it's mostly BB players whining about the other classes while forgetting who's fault it is in the first place we got so many DD's in game. Because doing well in them regardless just gives my ego a bigger boost? I am more proud of my Jervis and even Vaquelin stats as on my Vladi win rate :)

Why WoWS creates toxic players and fix
mtm78 replied to G01ngToxicCommand0's topic in General Discussion
Well there is always a speshul guy claiming WR is luck, and in the same sentence claim it's only used by 'toxic people' in negative ways against those who been 'unlucky'. -
Typical BB player post, blaming behavior of other classes on the lack of skill displayed by the average battleship player. Why do your DD's die? Perhaps becuase enemy DD has proper backup, and your team isn't supporting your DD's because your cruisers look at your BB's all sitting at max range and think: aaahh these BBabies think I need to protect the DD's while they snipe from max range... yeah how about hell naw, that aint happening. Why can't WG introduce a BB training course, where they are tough how to properly support their team and not worry so much about getting their paint scratched. I seriously doubt that first statement.

I am running on very old hardware compared with you guys ( HD7850 2gb i7 3770 ) and I can run at normal setting ( high/very high with 1080p resolution ). When I had crashes ( and I did, pretty often last few weeks ) they turned out to be caused by my camouflage replacement pack from the WG Modstation. Removing the historical camouflage modification solved my crashes, haven't had one since. My crashes were occurring at two spots, in game with a critical error popup, and right after a game would end before the result screen should be loaded. Both crashes did not resurface after removing that particular modification.

Win/Loss is the best one, if the number of games is large enough. Damage can be farmed, kills can be 'secured', the only aspect which shows how effective the other indicators are, is win rate. -
This. My Shima would not die from that attack, he was panicking. * I would probably die from the proper crossdrop I know you can pull off, but that Shima going there and putting that island to his right making absolutely clear he was going to sit there broadside since he can't turn.. nah

How do you greet enemies or/and the friends at the start of the battle?
mtm78 replied to seXikanac's topic in General Discussion
Nah, when I type in all chat: gl & hf it actually means Get Lag and Have Fail. -
Normally I'd advice against skipping tiers, but you're doing well enough in your cruisers to expect you know what you're doing. Also, I thought you were looking for advice for a single ship, not an entire line, those are very different questions. I still think FR BB's with their emphasis on speed will feel the most dynamic ( it's one of the reasons I will start them after I done my VMF BB's ), but if you want to go the line I don't think Scharnhorst would be a good buy. I would actually not spend your FreeXP to skip the lower tiers, but grind FR BB's from the start and get a Jean Bart.

No, not in a pure T1 game, not by a long shot -> Black Swan, 6450hp per ship, 12 ships = 77400 in total in enemy team. The only way this would be possible, to get that max dmg, if by taking the ship into a higher tier match.

I remember that angled upper hull was troll as hell, as long as you baited shots ( traverse got nerved much later ). Remember, protected MM and no gold ammo... or almost none ( mostly only people who played CB successfully would be running around with a few gold rounds ). Stock gun's on enemy team... heck meeting a T29 or something with a stock gun was fun as heck, you were basically immune to him when angled properly. Back then you could play the type as an actual heavy tank in many matchups. And you can wolfpack with all mediums, so isn't it weird that only Type59 wolfpacks were considered 'ow crap this is going to hurt'? But we might be going to much off topic here :)

I have one, they were an issue even if you did not wolfpack with them, certainly at start since there was no gold ammo for credits.

Yes you are contradicting yourself. Personal skill = abilty to carry even bad teams. That is why some people are stuck at sub 50% wr and some are 60%+, not because of teams, but because one is able to carry more the same bad teams everyone gets. -

It is over a large enough set of games. Because all the filler in your post except this I quoted, happens to EVERYONE. Not just you, me as well. -

You're contradicting yourself in the same sentence. Win rate is personal, as long as the amount of games is large enough. In WoWs, you will likely win 3 our of 10 games, regardless of your participation, same way you will likely lose 3 out off 10 games, no matter your participation. That still leaves 4 games where your actions do influence the game. edit: and here I was missing the real interesting parts ... Ahh you mean like how win rate by baddies is called 'team rate'? -
I don't have Gearing yet... you can call her THICC. I will comfort her when I unlock her, just so she knows she might have curves, she aint eating full BB AP pen like those fat girls Khaba and Harugumo.

The only constant in your 1142 battles is you. You matter. It is my personal skills vs your personal skill which is the difference between your win rate in 1000 random teams vs mine in a 1000 random teams. The only people not accepting this are people who think their own personal performance is held back by 'bad teams'. Don't be that guy, look at yourself to improve. -
Stop calling my girls fat, you're making them insecure! #NoFatShamingPlox

Could you stop messing with formatting, if you quote people they don't suddenly have an almost unreadable text you're reacting to. Otherwise I like this quote, to bad you first started attacking my post count instead of focusing on your 'truth' or actual content itself. Why are you not capable of doing your own?
-
The problem is in all those single cases, we are wired to see a connection even if there is not. You either need access to WG's matchmaker code ( easiest... but not going to happen ), or you need to track such a large group of players to gather a dataset big enough ( and comprehensive enough, consisting out of a large spread of different skill level players ). And even then, actually analyzing this data and forming conclusion of it is something most people aren't capable of. The odds of it not happening are pretty low let's put it like that

Why don't you do your own homework instead of expecting others to do it for you? And my remark isn't off topic kiddo, you do look like a BB player with your whining, and I DO wonder what your old account looked like.. and what WG did with it. Ever since the first tournaments were organized by OMNI there been requests for proper option to host them, by players, organizers and adjudicators ( I was one of them in the first KoTS btw, but eh who cares ). No one needs to proof you wrong kid, you could try proving yourself right.
