    Didn't have it but last couple of days playing almost only solo games. If you have a replay that would help since the screenshot is already 12 seconds into the battle.

    As, some would claim.. , a 'pro' seal clubber, I have to disagree. Is it fun, yeah it kinda is, because of the range and precision. But it's still ONLY 2x2 140mm, you're dependent on fires to get high damage numbers and fires are repairable ( + heal ). And you're slower than the BB's, and have terrible concealment. You will never be able to disengage from any engagement because of the concealment and speed, if something is shooting you, you either kill it or you sink. In quite a few games my dpm was not high enough and while I was able to survive long due to keeping targets at range ( where I was still effective and they were not ) eventually I ran out of allies and become more and more focused. Yubari has the same gun's, but it's also fast / nimble. If you want to sealclub at tier III, St Louis is still your best bet, with more skilled players sometimes choosing Tenryu because it's much more dynamic in gameplay.

    QFT.... Also, why would I lower my team's chances of winning by sticking with a BB instead of trying to win the game by supporting my DD's? Stealth CA/CL are better used as close support for your allied DD's, once they have secured map control you can adapt to situation freely, while a CA like Hindenburg is more like a small BB on it's own ( never seen a Hindenburg with a stealth built.. but hey might be me ).

    Why am I reading this thread and tasting the SALT from all those BBabies which want to talk about fire's and HE being OP.... which is funny because WG has actually given us FACTS in damage numbers and fire is really low on that list. What was on top: RIGHT, ap shells ( you know, those which BBabies tend to primarily use on other ships ). Now, fires and HE is fine, BB's are not UP they are fine, game mechanic wise there is something wrong ( or so it feels to me ) if doing the 'wrong' thing ( eg ANGLING ) provides better results than doing the 'worst' thing aka giving flat broadsides. Idk, it just feels wrong, after all those games already where you were always looking at the target which gave the flattest angle ( or almost always.. ) now I have to look at which cruiser is actually angling in a way which would allow me to land citadels on that range and not just get overpen's.

Static gameplay, if you're bow on you're either closing the distance ( which is not happening much because of lack of manly BB's ) or maintaining it or trying to by going in reverse ( which is slower than your enemies advance ). With BB's with other gun arrangements, even if they sit as far back if they want to utilize a good amount of their firepower they will be making turns. Timing these turns gives opportunity to deal large damage numbers, and feels much more skill based then sitting bow on and praying for RNGezus to be on your side. So even if the ranges would be the same, having BB's which concentrate their firepower forward cause more static gameplay then having 'traditional' 4 turret configuration. Sure, you can lob HE at them and it is effective at what it is supposed to do, but HE damage saturates and fire damage can be controlled and healed. Also, I should point out the obvious again, the static gameplay which happens in these situations is also due to 'random teams' not working together as a real team most of the time. And, these ships tend to be at high tiers where people are already less willing to take as many risks ( since you can't, you get punished much much harder ). In short: I don't like reverse camping but it is an essential aspect of the design of some ships, so it should be in the game. A Yamato which is reverse camping might be hard to deal with for any allied BB but if the BB supports his cruisers ( eg kills threats to them and tanks damage for them ) the cruisers can burn a Yamato down ( just as you said ). So the issue is more that the vast majority of the players a> don't ever enlarge their minimap b> don't have minimap with ship names OR at least enough situational awareness to know which ship is where and to react on this.. let alone c> take note of team compositions and game mode's in relation to minimap.

    Well there are some mods which make life easier, like aiming reticle with longer horizontal line, and custom minimap allows setting bigger size than stock minimap. Not going to make up for proper automatic UI scaling off course.

The best description involves skill ceiling and floor and was the most plausible in explaining the differences in opinion between both camps. Low skill floor -> easy to be decent in, low skill ceiling -> hard if not impossible to get more out of the ship then any random mediocre player. I do think once more cruisers will be in the battles she will be even more effective, so I am wondering how the server stats will look in say 3 months.

  14. You know that it would be different if it were up to me, but sadly you're correct on the larger part. I still remember this one game I had in division with one of the best CV players on the server, without mirror MM and no enemy carrier... and we still lost, because the enemy actually stayed in formation and used overlapping AAA aura's to great effect. And that was before all the nerfs which followed to CV's, and buffs to AAA. Teamwork should be the mean attraction of this game, or well it was to me when I first joined and I'm still trying to keep it ( if less... ) slightly focused on that aspect. No, because cruisers working together can kill a battleship as well and that's not a sign off something broken, it's a sign that utilizing every ship's strength is fine but it's still only when all ships combine this strength that you can get something bigger then the sum of it's parts. That is what teamwork gives, just as 'focus fire', it delivers an huge amount of 'force' at a concentrated target ( area ). Smoke screens should be attacked with torpedo's, smokescreens should be attacked indirectly by removing the spotting ability of those in the smoke ( kill the spotter or force him to disengage ), if both are not possible, smoke screens should be charged into to flush them out even if it means you might sacrifice your own ship ( pushing is almost always more preferable then pulling back, pulling back just gives the people in smoke the max utility they can get from the smoke while if you flush them out with enough support the entire initiative will shift ).

    Stop being an ... I said the exact opposite and it was clear enough. If you think Jingles is a good tactician, shall we ask his team leader from when he actually played in competitive setting? Ow.... right.... you don't know them, but I do. Jingles didn't even think the game was 'fit' for competitive gaming, 'to much rng, not enough skill' was his claim. Go look it up, you probably missed it in his videos. Then he played with some actually good people, and he changed his mind, since THEY had to show him proper tactics. Now shush....

    Uhm NO Jingles first comments about WoWs team battles showed his tactically versed he was ( if you understand the game you wouldn't be surprised about the plethora of tactics which be utilized in team battles... ). Just that someone served on a real navy vessel doesn't mean one graphs the tactics in some arcade naval shooter. OP needs Crysantos/Flamu and lots of others before even coming close to actually having to consider Jingles for 'gameplay assistance'.
  17. It's probably not that useful anyway, higher tier planes will still drop on you and you will probably only shoot something down ( perhaps ) on it's way out.

    Hey hey I said it would ideally be, and that I have no experience with web based 3d rendering First step would be getting the formula actually converted into c# or to find someone who can built a com dll I can call which run's the mathematics part. Since as for me converting the function to C# is proving a pain. It might be easier to run the mathlab functions to fill some tables I could use for a front end with interactive plots, might even be faster since the .net runtime isn't as fast with math function as matlab natively. But yes after that is done I am sure the benefit is plenty compared with the plot output of Mathlab. edit: And if you got a working flight model simulator which can calculate trajectories after impacting armor ( and subsequently have impact angles with internal armor layers ) it would be so great if this somehow could be 3d rendered.. but I don't think that's going to be me

    That description sounds familiar.... I wonder who would need a ship to shoot at islands and test hitboxes and stuff? Also the T11 sub. ARP Iona which voice is in the game ( adding voiceover doesn't need a ship reference though, at least not at the moment I am sure because of the 'Pirate' voiceover included in the PT client ) but her ship is not. And frankly, subs would be the worst addition to WoWs ever, so please no
  22. Indeed, xp through wg api afaik shows xp + premium bonus but excludes the 'first win of the day' or any other multipliers. There was a time, long long ago, when it showed base xp. But now, you can buy better stats, directly from WG

True, it was a random draw contest, I only posted in the thread to become eligible, the other one was from being the 'best' of the teams which lost from the Armchair Admiral's during their first team battles stream.
