I might edit/expand on this response later though I just am afraid I'll miss it otherwise :D And you're making a generic statement in a thread which imho isn't filled with opinion, but arguments founded on observed data ( which limits usefulness, but doesn't prevent it entirely ).

    I feel the rocket planes are way more influential as a cross drop needed a good CV player to execute. I don't even mind the CL's I think they mostly can be avoided and if not it's because your team is misplaying and you're likely to lose anyway. And radars are not the issue, the only problem I see is that influence of 'not good CV players' has gone up against destroyers. Adding to this is my notion that much more CV players are actually focusing DD's now, since it's easier for them to deal significant damage ( or because they have the least AA ). That is why I would like a distribution chart for damage from CV's before and after rework, just to confirm my perception.. I can do this on my tier 6 and 7 ( don't have others yet ) but when speedboost is off your mitigation abilities are far less. Going from @El2aZeR this does prevent any flak from spawning tho as this depends on the distance of the plane squad ( won't spawn within 2.5km ). Not that DD's have a lot of flak.. I see btw more and more CV's actually working with their own DD's so they don't have to rely on air detection, in those scenario's mitigation becomes far less as during RTS as bad CV player in RTS wouldn't even bother as it's easier even for him to attack bigger surface ships.

    What amount of ammo used in World of Tanks is 'premium' ammunition according to WG? And yeah I missed those analytics, but I also seen streams where dev's and community managers were dodging questions left right and center. Would be great if WG was more open about analytics... I would love to see a detailed damage distribution chart displaying ships classes being damaged by CV's. This is a commercial company, they made it clear they cater to BB players during the development cycles since this game left cbt, and I see REEwork as just another extension to this. And about this discussion dying when subs are default game mode: how about I ignore submarines, let them kill my whole team I don't give a damn. I did not BUY my premium destroyers to go hunt submarines, WG can NOT force me to do so. So I will keep playing my BOUGHT CONTENT in the way intended WHEN I SPENT THE MONEY ON IT. Not on whatever promises WG wants to come back on. This is such an easy out, it's frankly a bit disgusting to dismiss arguments because you want to lump everyone into a group of people who are just 'emotionally opposed to rework'. Yeah, I do find this quite distasteful really.

    I don't have the actual number either, but don't you agree that when a significant number of players who have shown to be able to understand and make use of game mechanics, all have the same conclusion, this conclusion is almost certainly true. So it's not enough that good players explain that how flak works is something which isn't random and thus can be predicted and played around? That's the argument, not if flak shoots down planes. Flak surely shoots down planes... from bad players mostly. Which leaves only DPS as deterrent against good players, and DPS won't deplane them while a bad player would already lose to many planes to flak so he can't sustain added dps losses. Does it really matter what overall statistics are when every good CV which is able to dodge flak basically has free reign. Yes, dps will drop planes, and yes avg numbers might look fine, but wasn't REEwork meant to lower the gap between average and good CV players? Fix the vision issue ( how does that work out when you now have 3cv's in low tier matches sometimes... )? Lower influence of CV player on match outcome? Good CV, basically one which can dodge flak and which knows how the aiming mechanics work, is still outperforming average CV by a landslide. Vision problem still there. Influence of CV player on match is still not proportional to other ships. The only thing REEwork was actually successful in so far is in making sure battleships ( ok ... and destroyers might not get cross dropped but that actually took some skill and was very much rare for me at least unless meeting a very good CV player who was willing to invest a significant amount of time on it ) live longer even if they go without escort, and it removed the team work aspect of DFAA. And it caused the current: 'bad DD no spot but stay near fleet' complaints since isn't that what is sad to DD players complaining about being focused by CV's?

    I almost forgot but that's about how ship name selector worked if I'm not mistaken, thanks for the info. I recon the extraction/conversion tools are listed somewhere in the mod section? Would be nice to have something like ship name selector but for your captains. edit: talked with maker of ship name selector, sadly not possible for normal commanders.

    Depends on enemy team's ability to actually kill them. The longer a game lasts, the stronger DD's become.

    Can't you use a regex replace on the .mo file? ( Also how many names do you change in your mod? ). Sounds like it's simpler to write a script to do your renaming then to do it manually each time. Sorry if I'm taking this to off topic, I was thinking you might turn it into a simple tutorial for a simple mod ( and yet I want to ask these questions ).

    You're trying to make it sound like the best players keep a star, when it's not the best players it's more likely to be the player which started out with enough self interest to make sure he would keep a star, not withstanding 'his team's abilities to win or not'. As to the rest, I rather have to play 100 games to progress in a system where there is no second agenda except trying to win the game. Mhm winning streaks are not really player dependent here, but would still be preferable to the mess created by giving players a second way to progress outside of the team. Wait, weren't people complaining they didn't want division in ranked because it needed to be 'skill based'. But if a mediocre player gives up, it's suddenly bad? PS: Like I said, if you want to protect the 51% from not having 'fun' in this mode because needing more games as a 60% player, you can shuffle a bit with the number of steps, as long as the requirement isn't lower as the average getting carried win streak by a baddie.

    Meh why would this be bad? It's exactly what we want no? Incite people to play better? You can lower the amount of games, just as long as the scaling between bad and good doesn't. This is complete bull, you know where I go in my DD? To the cap where my team is going to be able to support me. A bad BB player has just as much influence as a bad DD player, just the BB player is usually not even aware of how he's misplaying.

They will ask you to run a diagnostic and attach the report to the ticket, they should have enough information then to help you I hope. You're btw the second person I see writing on the forum about issues with a 5700xt.

    But that's fine isn't it, I can have fun while playing badly. But I shouldn't be able to have fun while playing badly on a constant basis. Competing with your mirror is a bit like Goku fighting Picolo. You know that fight is the one to win first, but you have to be ready to go supersaiyan god when Berus comes along. Getting to super saiyan blue ( well would be purple with WoWs but ) usually means you have to be more influential as multiple players in your team combined. But the way you say it is probably more understandable, being equal to your mirror is mostly an argument tho when up tiered, where this might make players feel they don't have to be really influential just more as their mirror. Overall, what most people seem to lack, is the recognition that a random matchmaker creates streaks either way, and they confuse this with their own lack of influence. I think most players who don't try to improve do so because they think it's not going to have an impact, they think all players with better stats are either lucky or cheating and their own actions do not matter. Now what I mean is this: if you see new players with red damage but green win rate making topics, they usually make topics asking for tips. Because they are winning, they feel like they have an influence, but they notice they aren't in the top of the xp lists and wonder if they can improve. On the other hand, a new player with red win rate and green damage, will make topics about a rigged matchmaker. A game lasts 20 minutes max, getting 100 games under your belt takes some time. Players who play 100 games are still new players, and do not yet see the influence of MM streaks ( you need way more battles for that especially if those 100 games are spread over a lot of ships and tiers ). Well no not really. But you can sail your battleship to a position where you can shoot any cruisers and destroyers trying to contest, and be reasonably close so that if the destroyer get's focused and is also under air attack, he can run to your AA bubble ( well.. takes some time but let's say it's a fast DD with speedboost on ;) ). A BB which really goes to cap ( at the start ) without support is likely not going to survive for long unless the enemy team misplays. Overextending is not a valid tactic. On the other hand, a BB leading a charge towards a cap might give your allies the trust they need to also push, the DD might decide your worth risking his life for and will screen you from enemy destroyers and your cruisers will jump on any enemy destroyer trying to force feed you fish. Just know the difference

    But in general these people would be on both teams, yours and the enemies. So the match deciding influence isn't the problem, it's the environment where WG mixes in two very different kind of players in the same MM pool. This. Is. Exactly. The. Problem. WG could have made economy such that only winning is fun... I know I know it sucks to be the one not winning often.... but it would motivate people to actually learn the game. It shouldn't be possible to 'have fun' while ruining the game for your team which expect players to press battle with the intention of playing for a victory. WG could have kept coop / operations for those not interested in learning basics. And just to expand on that, I don't want bad players to quit playing or just play coop. I want bad players to stop being bad, because in my mind 99% of the bad players are bad because they haven't yet made the conscious decision to NOT be bad. Most of the common mistakes... well there is a reason they are common. I see DD's not capping and I ask them why? Well the tooltip said they should use their torpedo's to attack enemy battleships. I see DD's not screening in the proper positions, ask them why: the tooltip tells them to screen, but the tutorial showing them how it's done, isn't there. A lot of the basic tasks ( which can't be rewarded in game, since no one ever been able to come up with a ruleset which can 100% determin when player actions are 'beneficial' ) are simple, when you know about it. But there are to many players in the game who just don't know any better, and they will never improve just because they aren't aware how bad they are ( again, not their fault ). There is ONE reason I am not a bad player any more: I decided to not be a bad player. And I made that decission because people who were telling me how bad I was, also, after some bickering, tried to actually help me in game. Some games in CBT I started out: "I'm a noob, if you think I'm going to do something stupid try to talk me out of it, and if you think I should do something, tell me"... ( slight paraphrasing ). Can you imagine doing that now? Community then was so small, you actually met the same players pretty often, and that's why this actually worked and I learned so much from other players who took their time to explain mechanics and how I should (ab)use them, I would like to pass that on but it's almost impossible in random battles to even get someone to accept that advice might be worth listening to.

    My WR curve goes down at tier 8 and 9 and up at 10 again, I blame my tier 9 grinds which so far been going quite horrible ( Izumo, Ibuki, Neptune, that CA before DesMemes, Fletcher.... they all do not like me much... well Ibuki actually worked ok for me when everyone complained about it but the others.. ). OK player is not a fixed qualification, and personally I think people should be their own judge. I don't mind being told I'm crap, I sometimes accept it, sometimes ignore it, but I don't change my own opinion on things just because someone says something, they need to convince me with reasoning. I know my dmg is low on a lot of ships, but as long as I can claim I seem to be fine regardless since my wr is good, why should I care about farming damage to get higher ratings? Same for players who are performing worse, it really does not matter as long as people are able to accept their own actions in game lead to the results they get. It all starts there, you can build from there, but you need that first seed: recognition of one's own influence.

    And that is why we like you to play in coop so you don't ruin everyone else's game. Seriously, you complain about not getting support, but maybe that's because you're 'playing them wrong'? Why don't you find some people to division with and show you how to properly play the game?
  25. Ow my mind is amazing into turning that back into: they will have lag spikes, and ultimately fail, but they are wising me luck in killing them regardless
