    No, that is a troll, report for chat abuse and hope he gets a chat ban. I've seen that message to, with multiple people from the same 'community' of clans. They are just trying to get some people to go mad in chat, don't react they are not cheating just being '[edited]'.

    I played all of those on a lowly C64, you're telling me I was hallucinating my entire childhood You're right that A500 had them as well, but all of them were released on C64 I am 200% certain I wish I had a C64 now, with all those oldies, just to show to my 9y old son who seems to think I'm joking when I tell him I even played text based adventure games back in the days.

    This. Using modded minimap there is no limit in resizing iirc, but well I don't know about readability of labels and stuff. it is read by CM's and they are supposed to pass things on to dev's.

    I guess part of noticing it that often is cognitive bias but it is still the largest reason I favor concealment over 'turning better' as gameplay element.

    Even if it does it's just RNG because the dispersion will influence you eating a stray shell anyway. How many times I didn't saw a BB shoot at me ( going straight.. baiting ) and then do a supa late emergency braking just to see ONE shell go stray and stern citadel me anyway...

    It would be bad because more universal ships in the game leads to more universal gameplay. Aka, no variations, and a lot less options in tactics because of it. Imagine just having gunboat DD's, BB's would love it but I would uninstall right away even while I like playing gunboats themselves!
  12. Tbh my first model kit was not the Hood but the Bismarck I would have liked a swordfish to go with it though! And while most find them ugly, I actually see the 'pair of boots' as being quite attractive

    It is easy to blame the BB's because they are the most visible, but if you're eluding to the fact that all classes have players which don't play their ship with 'teamplay' as anything on their checklist, then yes ofc this is true. And if I play a BB and I find my flank occupied with some enemy DD's and my team can't deal with them, I will not suicide and lead the charge. I will lead the charge against anything but an unspotted torpedo DD, that means I rely on my cruisers or gunboat DD's to either kill/occupy or just keep spotted that one threat which I can not deal with. A CV, well it depends on the BB but atm most BB's can shoot down multiple planes even before they can drop ( unless meeting higher tier carrier ). But if I play a DD ( IJN ) and there is a gunboat in my way, USN or VMF, I would rely on my cruiser support behind me to deal with it ( or assist me with dealing with them ). If they can't, or don't for w/e reason, I have to abandon flank and try again. It's all about trying to play together as a team. Which is, as said before, part of the issue. A kemping BB can still have good results if you sort the teamlist based on XP It took WG this long to realize that without incentive, the moment we left CBT the amount of teamwork in randoms ( or even just intent to display some form of teamwork ) would go down the drain. Let's hope the changed reward system is capable of inciting people to play more to their respective roles in a battle. Luckily, the natural answer to this issue is making all ships more universal, lowering the necessity for teamwork and making this game great again /disclaimer: there might be some hidden sarcasm in there, cookie for whoever spots it
  14. I hope your optimism will pay off edit: someone said they heard interface is locked at 75apm which made me think of something, isn't that the FPS limit the engine is normally set at? Can it be that the input thread is synced with the rendering thread so that it can't register more input then it's displaying frames or something like that? If that's true, setting a higher FPS limiter in engine_config.xml should already help?

So you can not predict the future. He could start moving, you have no idea what is going on his mind and if or when he wants to start moving again and where. Even if he's in smoke, he could be an idiot In your case, I wouldn't count on being forgiven, since you're describing him as someone who really couldn't distinguish between stupidity and misfortune Either way, imho, if you shot them at me and you told me: I am firing torps behind/ahead, take care! ... and I would still eat one, then yeah 100% I would forgive you ( this has happened to me before, quite some time ago, someone who was behind me but communicated prior to launching, me saying 'affirmative' and then having a sudden rush of crapto the brain and still sailing into one ). If you shot them because you 'assumed' to know what I would be doing, then sorry but no I wouldn't. And that's not saying you're 'bad' or malicious, I believe those torps were fired in good intent. But they were still 'bad', and yes that's coming from someone who has fired those kind of 'safe' torps in his WoWs career as well. I might even have cursed the 'stupid' guy who sailed into them after sitting still in his smoke to my division members on teamspeak, but after the initial shock off doing unintentional team damage I realized it was my fault not his

  18. Tbh I kind of agree that mentioning a hard cap for DD's looks 'bad' without explictly mentioning you would do the same for other classes. Imo, team composition should be close to 1-2 CV 3-4 BB 2-4 DD ~rest cruisers

    You don't need range as protection, you need damage projection, focus the HE spammers down with support. Yes that means you need to push up with the team, but hey if you don't your team dies and those HE spammers will eventually come for you as well. There is nothing worse then being death and seeing your top tier BB with 3m left in the game at full HP. BB's hitpoints are a team asset. not just a personal one. But I agree that for new players who don't put any effort into learning to play the game properly, this concept might come as a shock It's not even just about 'history' but you can't have a class with better concealment, better range, and better speed. CA's would kite the BB's around the map and BB's wouldn't be able to do anything about it ( and as much as I protest against 'BBabies', this term only applies to some BB players and certainly not all ;) ).
  20. I didn't do any research or thinking further than WWII, sorry. I know subs were around earlier but I didn't see them as really part of naval warfare until the Germans started to rely on them to attack merchant shipping. Either way, I might be wrong ( I likely am, with Leyte Gulf already mentioned ) but that doesn't change my opinion they would be detrimental to gameplay.

Go watch Flamu's play BB's, even without his 'retarded levels of aggressiveness' it's pretty clear BB's do not NEED to snipe. ^ edit: if the statement was changed to 'BAD BB captains need to keep distance' then yeah I would agree 100%. For THEM, playing selfishly and screwing over their team with their camping is better, they will do more damage because they will outlive their entire team, and they might get some kills on damaged enemies in late game. While if they played as they should in support of their team, their inability to keep proper angles and manage repair and heals will get them killed quickly.

    I ran clients on the same system using my SSD and my old, slow, 5400rpm storage HDD, difference in loading times was 20 seconds. And that HDD is really slow. If you have your os and profile folders on SSD ( profile folders -> personal folders ) on the SSD, WoWs uses this location as cache for assets. So perhaps my low difference is because of this cache still being utilized through my fast SSD even when I have the game itself on a slow hdd. But, my other backup system loaded 20s slower then my HDD install, and that system lacks an SSD entirely. There seems to be an optimization bottleneck, but where exactly it is I got no idea

    That's not a bad idea, it would even add importance to proper damage control. Flooding lowers speed and turn radius, which makes sense since it emulates a big hole in the ship below the waterline. How about if fires on a section of a ship lower that sections effectiveness as well. Like, if your bow is burning and you have a turret in that section, the turret will reload and turn slower? WG could even add in the option that a fire on a section might cause modules on the section to get damaged by the fire ( repairable damage ofc ).
