If there were subs in the game.... Well, then you're probably playing a different game as WoWs doesn't have them and doesn't need them

Tbh, I actually think a Z menu like in WoT would be ideal and certainly more manageable then the F keys. Radial menu works quicker and is more intuitive.

Should I report afk players as bots or playing poorly?
mtm78 replied to SerafineSilverstream's topic in Archive
Why so sensitive, 'plays poorly' is nothing more than a safety valve, you can open the valve and blow of some steam. It's not like 'plays poorly' has any meaningful impact. -

Sadly though, she tried to keep fit, doing regular exercises and a healthy diet. This fat gain was not in her control however, and she needs some liposuction to get it removed. *thought about putting a picture here of some lipo action... but I imagine like me, someone else somewhere is also bound to have just eaten.. so I'll restrain myself ) -
Should I report afk players as bots or playing poorly?
mtm78 replied to SerafineSilverstream's topic in Archive
If one goes 'intentionally' or 'knowingly' AFK ( or presses battle on a system which is known to load minutes late into a game ) it's effectively the same. It certainly isn't 'play poorly' that is a TERRIBLE choice as the entire report is just wasted ( these reports have NO follow up ). If reported for BOT, especially with people who constantly load in late, they might even get sanctioned for inactivity after a manual check by a WG employee ( and yeah yeah... no I actually don't feel sorry for those with 'technical issues', they don't seem to care about my enjoyment of the game either so I feel no moral obligation to not just be blunt about it: those people with technical issues should be in contact with support to get their loading issues fixed, and if they can't they should think about the impact they have on others ). And in general, if there are enough BOT reports, support might be going to the door around the hall where the dev's are and give them a firm boot up their behinds to get them to fix this loading issue ( which, btw, does not exist for me and many others ). You're wrong and this is why: you can't know what their 'excuse/reason' is, and WG depends on the players reporting those who need reporting. If I see someone AFK I report them, because without my report no one would look at WHY that person is AFK. And if he's AFK with valid reason ( and this implies that it's not a structural issue ), no action will be taken so there is no need to withhold reports based on the 'fear' of giving a false positive. From our observational viewpoint, we simply can not distinguish between 'valid' and 'invalid' AFK people/bots/people with loading issues. So stop trying to do so ( and let WG sort them out ). -
Obviously ( ) you can't. It's random, you get the good the bad and the ugly, in random order.

Explain to me why you're not performing better, like around 70% wr and 25% more damage? Instead of demanding buffs or nerfs, imo you should be asking for tips on how to perform better yourself. The ship is fine, as long as you don't constantly end up in tier 8 bracket ( and if it did, that would be something the MM should be tweaked on, not something which would warrant messing with the ship stats ).

Mogami I think also has a fair share of 'loyal' players who might be still playing it with already a year or more of experience on the ship. I tried to be loyal, but when I saw the range on the 155's on MK and then played my Mogami with the 'new' stats, it broke my hearth to the point where I had to put a bullet in her head and to her suffering ( and I was salty.... ). The role you're describing should perhaps fit Chapayev even better, with also decent concealment, better range, better AP and 11km radar?

Cruisers are becoming more and more pointless

They were annoying because of numbers mainly, not because of their abilities. A single Shima on a team did not cause kemping, in fact a stationary BB vs the old 20km torps won't be stationary long. That was the 'attraction' of Shimakaze, 15 long range torps which meant you always had something you could shoot at ( or well, getting in the 'right' location was a lot easier I'm still a bit vexed I grinded my Shima and I never got the really play it ( like it was supposed to be played )). I think the Shimakaze nerf was wrong, just as with current debate about BB oversaturation; WG might not like adding class limits to MM but it would have been better imho. I don't want Shima spam either, but 1 ( 2 MAX ) Shima's in a game, I don't think it is what creates static gameplay ( well... if I'm on low HP and can't risk taking a single torp I will kemp in the back if there is a Shima spamming torps... but a Gearing could achieve that as well ). Which is just not a fun way to spend your time The versatility of CA play is what makes them attractive, if the meta forces you to do the same things over and over the class loses appeal. -

I would go for just concealment camo on Fubuki, you don't need -4% accuracy when being shot at ( it's nice to have it just in case.. but ideally you don't want to get shot at anyway ). Having said that, I always been kind of lazy and I just used premium everything on everything. Since I will most like be starting to play without premium time, I will have to go over my ships and make some changes here and there -

The reason I mention it is because with the imo 'kemp bush' BB meta we have now, the long range torps would be really effective in forcing BB's to keep on the move. I am not saying I want to go back to the 6 shima vs 6 shima DD fests, that wasn't fun. But I do think the long range torpedo's had a place in the game. -

Well we had pretty effective anti capital ship DD's, they were called Shima's and had nasty long range torps... -
No no, if you see good players on the enemy team they are just good, not cheating
-
Well even with the old range she would only be on par with MK... you know, I bought MK for two reasons: AAA [edited]for team battles, and to replace my Mogami for long range BB(abies)Q(Q)'s

Warspite still dances like a ballerina, the turret traverse is indeed the biggest handicap but it doesn't matter. Bayern alone as argument for a buff is not making sense to me, as it is not like you constantly be fighting 1v1 with a Bayern. And since the other ships it meets haven't changed, the impact of Bayern on Warspite is simply to limited to warrant a buff based on that alone. And if you strip away the Bayern argument, you're left with a ship which statistically is performing quite adequate ( server stats ). The only point which imo is really valid, is that the MM is of higher influence on Warspite since the more tier 8 battles you get the more you run the risk of having to fight enemies who can kite you outside of your range. People using the 'concealment' factor to dismiss this are forgetting that usually BB's are not the one's spotting for themselves. But even then I wouldn't know for sure if she needs a range buff, and with a range buff she would probably get to strong when facing the other tier brackets she can meet.

The 'old' Mogami would have wiped the floor with Chapy without any single doubt in my mind.

SGWA imo is still in a concept stage, I was going to work it out over time with strangers but he has been so bussy with OMNI and ST and the showmatches and the cross dressing that it's just not getting of the ground. We done some classes, strangers with CV and I done basic DD course but it was one time event. I would like to set up either 'on demand' advanced courses or scheduled basic courses for the different classes. Basic courses I can handle for DD/CA/BB, advanced courses are probably more where I should be joining as trainee and not as instructor ;) We don't have a proper setup yet, strangers wanted to clone the concepts used in STGA and I was waiting on that ( for quite some time now ). If you're willing to help set up I would be eternally extremely grateful, it would probably even revitalize my interest in hanging around longer ( suffering from burnout symptoms, wasn't sure I would be sticking around after my current premium ran out.. ). edit: dyslexia ftw -

strangers123 never talked about it? -> http://forum.worldofwarships.eu/index.php?/topic/46526-specialists-global-warships-academy/ Since he is really busy with OMNI and ST coordination I'm trying to pull some weight but I've never done something like this before and I'm not inherently good at it I feel. Like how I wanted to organize some training matches and even got an offer from OM to train against us but I couldn't get the people interested to respond to me in time Either way, I am sure that since I to am struggling, I am not capable of giving the best advice how to deal with the current meta and still be effective ( and have fun doing so ). So if we ( SGWA ) could get someone as Spithas to host a class on more advanced gameplay I am sure a lot of people would be interested. ^^ point proven -

Man.. you know I believe you on your word since I know you're actually capable of doing this and it's not all talk, but you got to consider that you're the outlier here and thus not representative of what others can do. Maybe.. you know I am part of SGWA and we haven't done any courses/classes in some time now ( due to various reasons ) but it would be absofrigginlutely fantastic if you would offer to give an 'advanced' CA class for our members ( though I will ofc also join ). Maybe in some training room situations or w/e ( not sure what you need to show us how to adapt/play in current meta ).. -
Lol... well it you're not going to try hard who cares really? I mean I know some people who use ranked for grinding because the matches are quicker ( aka taking stock ships and low point captains ). Surely you with a good specced Mogami will be more effective then some baddie in an Atago.

Look, that's all fine and dandy, and 100% true in essence, but it does short on people since you make it out like the average player should be capable of adapting to a meta requiring a higher base skill level, and what I'm getting from people is that this assumption is just not applicable. They can't adapt because playing CA's in a very BB heavy meta raises the skill floor at which one can have a decent experience. It's not just the players at wrong here, WG could step up and acknowledge that CA's are becoming less popular with the average player, and do something to rectify this ( with MM limitations, NOT with buffs to CA's or nerfs to BB's ( other then my requested AAA nerf plox )). And THEN if people keep complaining you can tell them to 'git gud' ;) -
I know you and Flamu were headbutting over the Dunkek, but I do think he was right with his tier 8 ranked ship summary ( where Mogami is not a desired ship ). Don't you have a Kutuzov ( thought you did )?
-
You were late to the party Aslain has been having to many compatibility issues lately for me, mod combinations not working well. That is why I switched to the WG official modpack, sometimes the RU installer is the only one updated ( right after a patch ) but even then it's quite arbitrary to use once you know where the mods you want are located in the installer selection procedure.

quoted post removed well,,,,, ^^ that. I already had the pleasure remember Though I have to say, WG rules apply on WG managed media's ( like this forum ). It doesn't apply to YT or hell go to Reddit and name and shame there I don't think people will object to it ( unless you try calling out the wrong people ). Remember The Good, The Bad and The Ugly?
