WoT uses BigWorld engine like WoWs but WoT moved to DX11 a couple of patches ago. I expect WoWs to eventually follow suit, even while I think Lesta is doing a stellar job pushing the Dx9 renderer quite far ( there are some flaws, anti aliasing on rigging for instance is really bad ). edit: I can't really cast a vote in the poll, since the choices are to limited. The first option is the most fitting for me, but it raises the suggestion that Lesta needs to do so ASAP and that is a little bit to much urgency imo.

DS9 has some epic battles, the Dominion's Battlecruiser is quite impressive. But, Babylon 5 has the Shadows and the Vorlons ( both as race already impressive ) but mostly the storyline behind them. Straczynski added the whole background of order vs chaos I've yet to find in anything else on the same scale and impact ( might have something to do with being such a young lad when I first saw it ). And while that Battlecruiser is impressive, it aint no planet killer

Warspite has the shortest repair cooldown of all BB's, yes she burns easily but it's only 60 seconds ( iirc ) before the next repair is up. Warspite is probably the only BB in which I find myself repairing a single fire

Picard without a doubt, Kirk can't even come close let alone the young one's BUT, since I'm a sucker for friggin big scale space battles, the DS9 story arc comes closest ( to beating the daddy of big space ship CGI space battles... see spoiler ).

As to the actual question, I guess it's a natural reaction on the 'parading' others might be doing, some people just want to show much they care about their 'good or bad' stats ;) Then there are also people trying to apply some kind of xvm cammo on themselves, this can be troublesome but considering I know who they are their futile attempts have failed and I will still ask my team to focus them down first

Why are you confusing WoWs with something which aims to be historically accurate If WoWs were more life like, BB's would land shells in the single digits and most DD's wouldn't be able to reload their torpedo tubes while in battle So yeah, low tier BB accuracy is terrible

How about those who got the invite AND bought the complete Light Fleet preorder package as a means to show support for the game development They are not comparable, Lenningrad has good torps ( sims suck ) but weakish gun's ( dpm ) and angles on the guns. Sims is a knife fighting brawler style of a DD, Lenninggrad is more the assasin style using speed and concealment to pick favorable engagements.

They know it, but it's seemingly not a priority to facilitate better teamplay ;)

Karma is meaningless, the people who reported you did it to blow of steam not the be a jerk ( put yourself in their shoes, and do not assume they know you crashed or anything 'benign' either ). So you got some bot reports, since this was something which was just the occasional shitty moment getting disconnected, their reports won't get a follow up. I'd say it sucked for you, since it appears you think Karma has a use in this game, but I would actually encourage people to use the report options. As I said earlier, fear for a 'false positive' is the worst argument to use, considering from a players observational viewpoint it's often a coin flip what that particular guy in your match intentions are. And when in doubt, just report and let WG sort them out

WG has stated it does do manual research for players which reach a certain threshold with BOT reports ( and they also have a system in place afaik which just tracks inactivity -> I think this also flags the account for manual inspection ). Off course they are not giving specifics but that's understandable, if you know details you can use them to '(b)/(ch)'eat the system.

Go to WT....... PT boats would get absolutely SLAUGHTERED by gun boat DD's, WG has explicitly said it would NEVER even look at PT Boats ( or anything smaller then a DD ). Ofc, WG has said they will also not add subs since it would a> modifying the engine to enable sub surface play b> subs were considered totally unfitted for the gameplay as envisioned for WoWs. A> isn't 'hard' to solve, but B is still as valid as before. But yeah if énough 'people' keep talking about how they would be good for the game ( makes me question humanity... like.. really ), WG has to show it's not 'neglecting their players demands', so now they have said they are 'considering' them for the future. Still, I wouldn't hold my breath for subs to appear in this game, if they do I'm pretty sure I will be long gone before that can happen. edit: Replace 'tactical' with 'in fleet operations working in conjunction with a surface fleet'. There are some occasions, but generally subs were intended to hunt targets of opportunity ( aka merchant shipping? ) and not to engage surface combat vessels in direct combat if it were avoidable. At least that is me rather limited knowledge, which might or might not be 'complete' enough. Either way, I don't think subs could be fun to play in WoWs nor that playing against them would bring anything to the table which we really need atm. ASW is nice for DD's and CA/CL's, but with so much BB oversaturation they already can't do the tasks they were intended to do, imagine the impact on gameplay...

I been known to have a faulty sarcasm detector, even my therapists confirm it ( all of them ).

But F keys are to far from my WASD hax location, I have to move my hand off the keys ( no I am not ignoring you're 100% right about the functionality being there, stop thinking that ), Z and WASD however are really close. And Z is a single key which opens a radial menu which is much more intuitive ( try to get F1 to explain the different F keys functionality, don't think it's mentioned ).

If the minimap is to complicated for you, just uninstall ;)

What I liked about the Z menu is the interactivity. Point a a gameplay element, and you get options related the element ( perhaps a cap zone for instance ), point to an ally and you get context specific options related to that ally, point to an enemy ... well you get the point.

That's just the thing, 'play poorly' doesn't need justification since it has no meaningful impact on ( on the game or on the player ). It's just a release valve. Sometimes I am so salty I dump 7 'plays poorly' reports on someone ( especially second line torping 'players' who keep spamming them from behind the entire match ). Is it 'meaningful' in anyway way? Nope it isn't. Does it impact the other guy's game in any way? Nope it doesn't ( unless you're one of those who think the Karma system is worth anything ). Better that then 'rage' reporting someone for chat misbehavior just to try and get someone chat banned ( I even seen CC's doing this ON STREAM ffs... man come on ).
