They should promote players to come to the forums and learn about the game and engage in it's community. Perhaps linking to the modpack from the launcher would be sufficient for you though, even though the mods are not in the client, the client 'links' you to them if you wanted them. Extrapolating from that -:> ALL WG games have been supplied with a modifiable interface, one could argue that people could expect there to be mods available on/through the official forums. All in all, if some people fail to find an official modpack, it's their problem and not the problems of those who do. The mods are not cheats, because WG said so and their moral authority simply outweighs any and all individual one's present in this thread.

Even running lights is already in vanilla client -> angle of which the smoke leaves the smokestack.

After a patch, play a game with vanilla client ( you want a fresh replay from that patch, as previous replays might already be broken by the update ). Then with that replay you can test your mods. Training room places additional load on the WG servers, doing it with a replay is 'nicer' I guess

Only thing they missed imo is the captain reserve issue, but having anime 'port' which you need to select before having access to the specific content deserves a

I agree that Mogami could use some love, but it doesn't have to be range. Better turret traverse on the 155's would make her a very good DD support / DD hunter ship ( where the range only made it extremely good at harassing BB's with fire's ).

When people mention minimap doing the same as the navigator mod, they do mean the modded minimap with both ship names and last known positions, but mostly also showing a directional indicator for your selected target. You will be able to judge angles based on this directional indicator, and it will tell you the moment a ship starts turning.

That is called Atlanta syndrome. Many of those players will also come on the forum claiming 'we' just aren't playing her right, and then show off their sub 50% wr in it Also, Flamu does just fine with Atlanta, it's not UP just situational. And where in Gods name did I call Belfast UP?

Your post was obviously not aimed at me directly, that's not the point. The point is you're calling people scum ( insults ), cheaters ( insults ) and say they should be thrown of a cliff ( not sure which rule this breaks, but I am sure it breaks one.. ). And that only because they are using a mod from WG's official modpack. In the past, I seen moderators sanction people doing such, as it's called slander and it has no place on this board. I'm all for a normal discussion of the benefits of any and all particular modification available, but please, try to not insult the other side from the get go. While this might be 'handy' it's exactly something which would be a legit mod as it doesn't give you any information you otherwise wouldn't have ( you know smoke duration, and you got a counter from when you activated it ( aka deduct time out for new smoke with smoke duration -> you got a timer for how long your smoke has been deployed ). edit: Here you're doing it again. You will claim it wasn't a direct reference but it's in a post directed at me. Reported ( again ). There also was a patch which broke the game so that cruisers couldn't get citadeled, leading to cruisers charging down BB's and torping them. Lasted a few days before it got patched, should I now use this patch to justify nerfs to cruisers ( because in THAT patch they were clearly overpowered ).

Even if he was. you can't keep using very old patches to make claims like that without explicitly mentioning them as they change the meaning of said claims a lot.

They are using their modpack to offer mods which they deem legitimate ( duhhh ) and who are not included in the vanilla client. If the smoke mod wasn't in the client it would be in the modpack, wonder if people would cry so much about it then as well... You're so wrong it's not even funny. Players can have opinions all they want, it's Lesta/WG which makes the rules and not 'players'.

Yes it will. Now don't get me wrong, any noob can press S and deploy smoke and sit there with hydro on trying to avoid torps coming in, so even noobs might find it 'decent'. But to get the most out of it, you need to be able to time your consumables right and read the battles right. I expect a large gap between the noobs who might do ok with it, and the really good players who will get 70%+ wr with it.
