Lower duration smokes is less whines from the BBabies getting spammed from smoke. And it forces the GEDD's into a more aggressive playstyle I guess as stealing smokes means engaging other DD's and not BBabies just like WG wants.

Out of likes but yes, mainly this. And as you say, it works reasonably well. Ofc you still see sniping German BBabies, but heck even if you made them shoot potato's they would still snipe from max range doing no damage ( and probably unaware WG changed their shells out with actual potato's ). edit: The problem comes when you move from 'casual' random games to competitive, WG has indicated Bismarck performed to good in last ranked season and they want to change something, but they also said the performance in randoms is close to how they ideally want it.

Well I performed quite ok in her so I'm not breaking the rules right I'm having more issues with which ship I want to downvote because either I haven't played them or I like most of them ( except Myoko.. I hated Myoko especially since I have so many off them )

^^ That is why they have hydro, because it allows them to even with their flaws still fight on the front lines. I <3 GEBB's who push up with the CA's and DD's, it makes for far more interesting battles! Basically, I don't mind Curry and Fred's hydro as much as I mind Bisq's hydro, as Bisq is a lot more manoeuvrable then the tier 9 and 10 ( Inertia increases a lot I guess ).

You know what would redeem WG a bit with the IJN side of things? A proper implementation of Tone for instance, CA with controllable float planes ( or bombers which you can send on attack runs or something without full manual drop control? ). That would be 'novel' and interesting!

I'm looking at your signature and things look alright to me... Recent performance in line with historical performance. Random does not mean no losing or winning streaks. Two weeks ago I had to consecutive days with 16% and 3x% win rate... it was horrible. Then the weekend came, I was scared shitless it would get worse. I got >80% wr in the weekend on day 1 and 7x% wr on the other day. Randomness

Please people, it can't be that hard right? It's why I am not downvoting CV's just because I don't like playing them myself, I can't judge their performance so I will stick with ships I have played so far

Well I like the possibilities in extending co-op into something fun, like the escort event we had with halloween. But pve right now is just a shooting gallery with dumb AI ( DD's popping smoke but keep going full speed and won't torp you unless they get to your broadside... yeah that will teach you how to play the actual game

The guns on Bismarck and Torpoid are the exact same. I would not call that 'great' in any way shape or form. How can you enjoy playing if you perform like that? Do you really feel you're doing 'great' or do you realize you're one of the worst performing Atago's on the server? Not trying to make you feel bad, I just want to know if you realize that you got a LOT of room for improvement. If you do realize that, maybe it's time to make a new thread asking how to learn to play ( the game / Atago )? I am sure people will be willing to help you as long as you give an indication that you're actually accepting you're not 'doing great'.

Well why don't you post with the same account then, we have to many fake account trolls already so if you're not one of them it would suit you to post from the same account as you play on And I am 99% sure the sigma change was in the patch notes but I'm to lazy to look em up. So as I said, w/e you notice in game is fine with me ;)

You should not base your purchase on the cammo, as a simple request to a modder will probably allow you to run the ship with any of the 'normal' available cammo's ( swapping the stock 'cartoon' cammo visually with one of the others ). Won't influence your gameplay or the cammo's benefits, but it will look like you want it to ( depending if you like any of the standard cammo's ofc ).
