I got too many run in's with the moderation team to keep that same attitude Thumbs up to the rest of the post -

Well we can all agree that you will more games in division with players who are also good+ then you would when playing solo as you're guaranteed two other good players as opposed to being totally dependent on the MM? edit: Totally irrelevant to topic at hand but I wanted to post this image... Cookie for who get's the reference -
Maybe someone can answer this three Questions

Warning points are points you accumulate when you don't follow forum rules. When you see a post which is moderated, it usually says 'edited because of ... content'. Depending on the severity, one or more warning points can be given. A certain amount of points will lead to a Read Only status, which increases in duration with the accumulation of more points. If you get to many, you might even get a permanent forum ban. -
Battleship players: what is your problem? Why won't you tank?

If I really thought it was meant to just literally insult me I would report you but this is just banter You said in a previous comment you think 'smoke kemp' or 'island kemp' is a bit of a cowardice playstyle, and you then you commented that's it's also a bit moronic ;) So yeah that made me go like... uhm wait a min And ofc, we all play for fun, that's the beauty of online gaming. Sadly, the bad part of online gaming is that everyone has a different opinion on what is actually fun That being said, I still <3 people who forgo a tactical approach in favor of man mode brawling especially when they are on the enemy team -
Another observers standpoint.. though I had this reply open for an hour or so because I actually don't think this thread needs this discussion, nor am I sure my opinion would be off enough added value to perhaps prolong a public discussion on it.. In the end I decided to post it because I feel like my standpoint as observer is both valid and perhaps something you should take into account for the future. Flamu was very negative at times yes, especially about the but drops of Dawn.. but he also commented on really good plays and tactics when he saw them ( but as others have pointed out, it's hard to impress Flamu as he expects top notch plays ). If you feel bad, well he was a lot harsher on some other teams/plays. A DD without last stand with a broken engine gliding out of a smoke, then repairing when he was already out and spotted. That was a bad play, even for someone like me who hasn't played competitive other than a showmatch against Average Armchair Admirals with the ST team of the time ( and sank Jiblegs ) it was clearly identifiable as not dealing well with the pressure of the moment. So I like Flamu being as brutal as he sometimes is, it gives a feeling of honesty. Some people are watching the tournament for entertainment value alone, but there are others who also watch it to see high quality gameplay, hoping it might 'rub off' on them a bit giving them more insights in the game and hopefully can be applied to improving their own gameplay. For the first group, a caster like Izo is probably the best suited. For the last group, a caster like Flamu is probably more valuable. And yes, that does mean I believe that you had a couple of misplays. That's not dismissing your qualities as a player one bit, you made the finals and your team has been pretty consistent in performance throughout. But that also doesn't mean you don't make mistakes right? Everyone does, and while you're blaming Flamu for being overly harsh, if you watch him stream his own random games and he does something stupid which doesn't work out, he will be honest and say he played potato. I don't think Flamu was harsh because of anything except the things he saw in the game. And you can object to how he interpreted some drops ( the drop on the DD with defensive fire for instance, where he blamed the DD for slowing down and you wanted him to comment on how good your drop under defensive fire was ), and as I don't play CV's I can not comment on those interpretations. But I don't see that DD player coming here and complaining about being called a potato for not having last stand and only repairing his engine when he already was out of the smoke with very low hp ( dying second later ). Now, as there tournaments are catering to a broad audience, some pure entertainment, some looking to perhaps learn something, some somewhere in between, casters should take this into account. And I think the duo of Izo and Flamu is actually well thought out as both will appeal to different groups. But, and I don't know why as in previous streams this wasn't the case, Flamu became very dominant in commenting, way more so then in previous streams. Izo's 'leveling effect' was a bit lost especially from the semi's onwards. Was it Flamu's enthusiasm? Was Izo actually tired or something? I don't know. But Flamu overshadowed Izo's opinions and interpretations to the point where the benefit of them casting as a duo was almost entirely lost. And this is the part for which I decided to actually post my view, as I haven't read it in the topic above and I strongly feel this has played some part. As to the why, the how, and if/in what way/when this should be looked at in regards to future casts I don't have any answer. Maybe we should give Izo some redbull before he starts casting to up his energy level so it's easier to compete with Flamu... ;)

Adding to that, choosing to run a game at settings your system can not handle is also a choice. A choice which disrupts the gameplay experience of all the other players. You complain ONLY because it does not suit you. Yes I complain because I don't think it's intended for me to be frustrated by people who willingly disrupt my gameplay experience! I am not talking about 'bad' players doing 'bad' plays, that isn't really disrupting my gameplay enjoyment as when this happens on the enemy team I be like... No, what this is about is about people who forget that their ships and their participation in battle matters to other people who are also trying to have a fun time. In my opinion, these people are griefing, and griefing is per definition disruptive.

I like the idea of bonus malus and I support the idea of using a solo measurement, but it's still not going to work. a> my last solo games are either long ago or very sporadic, I am fairly certain I could get it higher by playing solo more now as I have improved over time and this goes for most people. b> but why should I be forced to go play more solo games now just to get your system working as it should? c> would my solo win rate be the same if I played only my favourite ships? d> and if so, should that then still lead to a global bonus in all my games? 3 out of the 4 points are rhetorical -

So you called me a coward and a moron, how nice of you. Not that I care, I love people like you. It's who I can farm and win games from because they don't play to win. -
Maybe that will mean you will camp less in your Montana

You're right about the models and stuff and if you just said: "change the name" then meh ok I wouldn't have objected but .... Don't you think it's kinda silly to say IRL in conjunction with DPS in this game -
Wargaming, please remove the premium matchmaking for T3 and T4
mtm78 replied to kfa's topic in General Discussion
Ofc, I do not enjoy it terribly but I also don't mind it if it happens occasionally... if it happens a couple of matches in a row I throw in the towel just like most of you I guess. But I got enough ships of different tiers to just switch to something else. I guess for people just starting and having reached tier 4 max and who get this MM ( a few games is actually the amount of play time most people spend per day. I can have sessions of 20 to 30 games at times that also helps minimize the impact of the MM ). Still I do feel some sense of accomplishment if I can tie up a higher tier CV for a majority of the match, especially if the ships around me thank me in the end of the match and congratulate me on my torpedo beating, It's just as much skill as doing damage, maybe even more as every potato can hit ships but not every potato has the situational awareness to evade a CV for prolonged time in a ship without noticeable AA. -

How about hell no? That would lead to being able to always make a certain ship top tier. MM might be harsh for some ships, it is at least pretty good at preventing abuse by players -

Absolutely not, the fault is the division commander. Only if a lot of ships are rebalanced, and class balance in lower tiers. -
You might find out soon enough

Lol.... Takao is fine, and yes I have one... as well as an Atago I bought on the day it was released. Why would you be so salty, you haven't lost anything from your purchase. And LMAO with 'changes' which to me all read as 'I want WG to BUFF my Atago now others have a Takao, it's not fair they have almost the same ship as me and I paid for it QQ QQ QQ". -
No.
