[Speculation] How gun performance will affect Royal Navy Battleships
mtm78 replied to WarshipsPodcastEU's topic in General Discussion
Could you quit throwing that around in a game forum, it's a bit in bad taste. -
The challenge
-
But the constant spam would still irritate him a lot And you can still go for bow or stern hits where torpedo belt reduction doesn't count and you will get guaranteed floodings. Also, please put it in the context of this thread, I don't think OP would have much of a chance even with an Amagi
-
At least he's sticking through it, I mean he's showing dedication Kamikaze is low tier right And I wish I had tier 8 MM with Kamikaze, nothing better then a couple of Amagi's/NCal's or Tirpitzes to torpedo.. Bismarck is another thing though with 10km secondaries and hydro to boot
-
Reminds me to play Kamikaze more, I mean someone has to investigate the presence of WASD.exe haxpack right

There was a post on this stickied earlier I thought, I been looking for it since I saw this thread but I seem to be unable to find it. Either way, above summary's are correct, other then seal clubber. A seal clubber is a man with a club who beats baby seals to death because of their fur. -> true story. Another kind of seal clubber is me, taking a Gremlin putting in my 18p captain, and then invisi firing ( shooting without being seen ) at ships 9.9km away from me, burning them with a fire chance higher then available in the normal tech tree, and while having long range torps, also not available in the regular tech tree. Or, me in an Arkansas Beta, a ship which is hardly overpowered on it's own, and playing matches against players with a few hundred games in at most. Seal clubbers are either very experienced players playing against new players who don't yet have the insight in game mechanics, or a player using a ship which is stronger than ships which are available to the majority of the community ( and yes, I also have a PzII-J .. with maybe 8 games on it though ).

We need a harsher high tier-Noob/Bot punishing economy.
mtm78 replied to havaduck's topic in General Discussion
Bots are stupid, they regularly TK because they don't check line of fire. Don't ever be between the AI and a another AI enemy. But... bots are far from OP. If they were the average wr of decent players in pve wouldn't be > 90% with ease. I would advice you to come play PvP to get away from the 'torpedo from behind syndrome... but sadly just tonight some ...... in a Faragut torped my Leningrad from less then 10m. And that was a player, not some AI ;) -
I really hope so. I also hope that feedback during that PT will be considered and not just 'statistics' as statistics are not the end all be all of 'enjoyable gameplay' Btw congrats on adding two of the top CV players. I'm having good hopes of a 2016 2017 being the year of the CV ( UI rework at least ). The HE penetration increase skill also sounds like a potential pitfall would love for all off the skill tree to make it into a good PT iteration ( or two.. three.. four or how many there would be needed to get it right ).

Discussion thread for "some interesting info around the world"

Switzerland for sure Ok, maybe France then. Since France already has a premium, and I think WG likes the business model where their premium sales are being boosted when they release a new line -
I was about to say it wouldn't be the first time something which should have been on PT wasn't there to actually test before it was brought into the game.

Earl it's about the principle, not the details. The details are as you say, less then the amount of salt I'm dispensing would make them out to be. It was the total feeling of not being the real counter to BB's we would like to be, or more so: to be so dependent on others to make mistakes instead of being able to do well on your own in a 1v1. A kongo is just as fast as me, he can counter me on his own if there is a skilled captain in it ( and no, that's NOT the way it's supposed to be... well ofc it is for the BBabies who don't think teamwork should be an essential part of the game ). It IS about high tier USN DD's being better anti capital ships as well as better anti DD boats ( F3's... yeah I realize some people get consistent good results with them even with the amount of CV's and radar's... but the same goes for Krasny Krim.. or New Orleans ( to name a CA which is 'hated on' by most but who some people can make work with decent enough results ). And your argument about being a know slower ( back to Fletcher / Yugumo ) is already taken into account since I was taking about reaction time So yes, Fletcher is the better torpedo boat, unless you forgo some flexibility and go for the much faster F3's. Which to me, means I am relying on enemy team to leave me holes to exploit, and on my team to not be to unpredictable in where they push or hold or fall back ( so I can get into optimal launch positions ). And yes I do advocate teamwork, but 8km is giving in a lot in flexibility especially against non potato's. And yes I been doing OK with my DD's in general even after the split ( and with captains not properly specced for the ships they are in ). But it's a totally different meta game. My Shiratsuyu ( yeah the 16 torpwall tier 7 ) I have more damage done with guns then torpedo's. And don't get me wrong, I am not saying they are worse overall, they are clearly not. But they are very different from what the IJN line was supposed to be. And this change is meta is what I am not in agreement with. edit: and KI is just another indication of this change I'm not happy with ( but it's all tied in with each other ).
-
Well 12 > 10 right... and with the addition of so many radar's, WG cleary gave IJN DD captains who DO NOT enjoy having to depend on enemy teams being idiots allowing you to close within 8km a big fat middle finger. And yes it has everything to do with the rework, claiming it hasn't is pretty strange imo. 'Reworking' a line and then not looking at the balance between nations makes no sense. And why should Fletcher have better long range torpedo's then Yugumo? Ow wait, because screw you IJN torpedo boats I had unicum performance in Fubuki yesterday, well in dmg done it seems I did double the average. But I still had only a 5x% wr. Feels unrewarding ( even while I know it's a team game and WR isn't a good measurement ). All of the salt is because WG wants to change the meta to fit the BBabie mentality, and yes we had this discussion before ( more then once I think ). I feel sad I can't change that development direction, it is why I am not spending any more money on the game.

4 point captain skill....

6 tier CA(leader) be assigned to 8 tier room for 3times .that is so discusting
mtm78 replied to strategy_admiral's topic in General Discussion
I am actually going to try this out right now, I have terrible Karma so I should have excellent MM right? Ow wait, you meant it the other way around -
Maybe someone can answer this three Questions

I'd call him almost an angel... -
I find the 10k higher average damage more telling though. I think it's because of the durability of Arizona compared with Warspite ( as well as the bit of extra range allowing more tactical positioning ).
-
Nice arguments, you should be in your schools debate team Not when people AFK for minutes when a game starts no. And argue all you want I will keep reporting them as bots and I am pretty certain if they do it often enough they will get a nice account suspension.

Idgaf about nerfs to Minekaze/Isokaze ( I have a Kamikaze R ) I do care about WG removing long range torpedo's on IJN to cater to the BBabies. And I am not talking about the 20km one's, but the 12km option with decent speed which WG should NEVER have removed. I do care that high tier USN torpedo's have much lower reaction time then IJN, because of shorter torpedo acquisition ranges. I do care that Fletcher is a better torpedo boat then Yugumo is. I do care that I had some decent games yesterday in Fubuki at tier 6, because there were enough baddies playing railroad simulator. However the moment you meet a BB with a brain. he can torpedobeat without issues ( well granted it was a Kongo, and that's more a BC.. but since it's in Fubuki's MM tiers and DD's were supposed to be a counter to BB ( and not just dumb bad BB's ) it does indicate a small issue ). But hey, WG wants people to brawl more, removing long range fast torpedo's from IJN is natural.. just as trying to remove invisi firing since 'it was added as mistake' Which is fine I guess, I can fully live with it ( even though I will not pay more money )... but then having Gearing and Fletcher have longer range, lower reaction time torpedo's makes absolutely no sense. But hey, that's just me right

mtm78 replied to havaduck's topic in General Discussion
You can't quantify what wins games, well cap points and defense points are a good indication unless you're a BB then it's almost impossible as you can have high damage but if you're doing the damage from the blue line you're still a baddie,. -

Thought they said six months for a ship in one of the previous dev blogs. Also not 100% sure. -

That match should be removed from trackers as enemy team largely disconnected just as his own team leaving him to farm damage. Would be the same as going into a training room and doing it that way.
