It would be very very hard, but perhaps over a lot of iterations on a PT server such big changes could be made. The issue is that I can't see how they could be done gradually, not if the changes are so interlocked. -

Nah I like playing my DD's still because it is a totally different meta game. DD's are responsible for game objectives, BB's are there to shoot their big guns at other ships ( preferably CA's as those devastating strikes are so juicy ). The new Bastion is making DD play less fun though so it might not last long before I stop playing those as well. -

I don't think it would balance out, some ships ( Yamato.. Amagi.. ) already have excellent torpedo protection and those who do not ( FdG, CurrySausage ) have hydro. To many big changes imo. There is no need to remove guns on DD's either ( making them less useful against other ships ). The HE damage is already low enough and fires are not something which needs another nerf. -
WTR -> damage 50% win rate 25% other 25% probably based on cap and defense points ( since assisted damage wasn't tracked at the time WTR was invented ). Might be that they changed it by now idk... Not that I think WTR is a good metric, was to much emphasis on damage and not enough on actually winning.

BBaby spotted ( and mods.... he called people who don't agree with him IDIOTS so lay off it unless you start sanctioning those insults as well .... ). 1. My BB's make just as much credits as my other classes, guess it just depends on how well you play them. 2. Repair costs mean nothing if you play the ship the way its intended you make enough income regardless of class ( only current exception I hear would be carriers but I don't play those so I wouldn't know ). 3. Only BAD BBabies make these statements. I see plenty of agressively played BB's and they tend to do well! But then again, those are captained by good players, and I also see plenty of BBabies getting out of position in relation to their team ( lack of minimap.exe ) and then they complain about BB's being useless ( when it was THEIR fault for ending up somewhere alone ). 4. Really? So that's why GOOD players actually do shoot DD's any chance they get even with a BB. Because doing a couple of overpen's and perhaps even the lucky pen doesn't remove 1/3rd or more from any DD in the game. 5. No one cares about real life, this is a game. Or do you want torpedo's buffed so a single torpedo will usually remove a ships combat efficiency completely as well? Or WG to put back the 20km IJN Long Lances ( with almost NO detection as their oxygen propulsion made them highly stealthy )? 6. Anecdotes anecdotes is all I see from you. WG posted a damage distribution chart, I could post it but why should I do YOUR research? Go and try and find it, maybe looking at what damages what will put your claims to rest a bit. ps: BB's are NOT op. Having 6+ BB's per side however is game breaking for other classes in particular CA's. -

Why? Why in god's name would this be needed? edit: localized weather is a no no -> players are to dumb for such a mechanic ( since it would require knowledge of both the effects of weather and ability to read a minimap ). Judging how we still get threads from people reaching mid to high tier and still unaware of the actual current spotting mechanics, this is just a no go ( even while for good players it would be fun as it's something they can 'exploit' to gain max. advantage over bad/unaware players ). -

indeed, BB with stealth build are the most dangerous. But I didn't mention it since these BB players are not the whining crying BBabies who think stealth needs to be removed. -

Atlanta, Flint, Chapy, even New Orleans not to mention certain DD's ( Blys ) and so on. But ofc, for the BBabies anything they can't shoot back at is a 'broken' mechanic, since they don't acknowledge stealth is the actual armor unlike their precious BabyBoats. -
Remember the in game polls? Those told WG that a significant amount of people liked the game mode. So we all know this poll will not do anything but show WG how WE feel. Sadly, WG doesn't give a rats behind about the opinions on this forum. Not unless it's not only his forum but every possible social media outlet and 3rd party forum out there.

Indeed it's not the range it's the players. Can't lower range on BB's, then some CA's would just be able to kite them. WG needs to add incentive to closing the distance, not make it impossible to stay at range. -
Yeah it's possible, yesterday one match with 5 BB's six DD's and ONE cruiser... the cruiser wasn't happy

Sadly yes... they also said that IF it lowers a ships performance it will get buffed significantly... which means they will do nothing until their beloved statistics show the performance dropping... hopefully they will also get the message and do something when they see those ships which at least partially relied on invisifiring will not be played when they remove the mechanic and not immediately buff them to compensate... why would I play a gimped ship?

Tier 7 don't see tier 10, 'only' tier 9 The tier spread is to ensure reasonable queue times and also due to not that many lines in the game, it could get pretty boring constantly meeting the same ships. Also, this isn't WoT where you can't hurt something two tiers up, sure you're not on the same level but you can always be useful.

Because doing damage and sinking ships isn't the objective of the game, it's winning. Winning is aided a lot by doing damage and sinking ships but it's not the end all be all. Two of my solo Warriors have come through point victories That's all of my Solo Warriors btw Controlling cap points, having map control, even while you lose ships as long as you can compensate with the amount of points gained from controlling cap's will still win you games. -

Seems the system is incremental, if you get reported a few times it get's easier and easier to run into a chat ban I think it also lowers the value of your own reports but not sure... -

XVM would solve this ( not saying it would be good ..... but at least people would happily ignore someone with a 44% win rate and a 'plan' ). The problem would be if you get two super unicums both saying different things Or, a team with just 44%'s
