    I was indeed only refering to the voice overs as I don't particulary care about individual captains when in battle. Now if we had the holograms floating above our ships in battle, THEN it would be different. Haruna would then be my most played captain I bet

    I guess that's because they have developers active on their forums giving them a feeling of actually being an important part of the playerbase in the sense that their opinions are considered. Here we rely on the CM's to go through the forum and feed back our feedback and then wait for the developers to give them something to feed back on to us.

    Way to selective quote, I was only referring to the radio positioning perk and it's impact on the different classes. If you want my opinion on current WG's meta direction -> putting diapers on BBabies who will still keep crying their eyes out

    Tbf DD's are not only nerved, it just depends on which role you're taking up. If you want to hunt other DD's then it's not a bad skill... and I fear this is more of the general direction WG wants to move in. No more will DD's be the anti capital ship specialists, they will be 'universal' and should fight themselves first and only then can they bother the BBabies. Cruisers are also not nerved, depending on their role. If they want to hunt DD's, the skill is a good thing. In a way, even BB's are nerved because trust me the LAST thing I want to see pop up on the minimap is a stealth Montana opening up 13km from my broadside cruiser. Off course, ships which rely on stealth more are also affected more. But it also removes tactical positioning from the game, that's the problem with the skill.

    ^^ We had comparison topics, multiple one's, during CBT where people complained the ships were not scaled correctly. All off those were 'shown' from the aiming viewpoint in the game, which is just utterly wrong as it can't be used for this at all. Only when placing ships right next to each other and looking at them top down you prevent the scaling distortion from the viewport. And if you do that, the ships are all scaled correctly in comparison with each other.

    And this part is even harder, since it's actually IMPOSSIBLE to judge the impact of this single perk on gameplay objectively and securely because --->>> Maybe TTT and OMNI can play a team battle game showing how this skill would work out in competitive play and put it on youtube or something ..... ( not sure trainingroom is available in PT.. think it is with the xml edit?? ).

    This is not a GE DD thing, WG is moving away from stealth firing ability all together ( check the latest news from RU thread for links ). Is being a jack of all trades master of none 'bad'? The hydro on the PT has proven to be quite effective for me, the tier 8 and up ships all seem quite capable. WG can't continously put in unique gameplay variants with each new nations line, there will be blurring eventually. Anyway, it's still about the convoy mission's ( and the ARP missions before.. and the.. well you get my drift ). Let's not pollute the topic to much with other things which might not be to our liking ok, I fear it will also dilute WG's possible response if we do this. edit: No one can make them work? edit2: didn't check my image, capture proggy is set for screen content and it missed the tittle bar -> it's Flamu's profile ofc

  17. I've not seen many divisions on the PT, or well I don't think I seen any unicum divisions. I been playing solo and with the GE DD's the skill is quite handy for pushing other DD's in cap zone's together with the aid of hydro. What I have seen so far is that almost everyone even those with troublesome English seem to be using chat and communicating a lot more then any previous PT I been on including WoT. And I mean that in a good way, teams coordinate a lot more. Setting a priority target or asking for help and pinging a sector on the map really has a lot of effect. Maybe that's the positive side of a skill which shows the nearest hidden enemy, people know that teamwork is even more beneficial than before. I played IJN DD's, I am not a USN main, on PT I chose the Germans as I didn't play them before and wanted a fresh outlook. I would not be as capable of a unbiased opinion with the IJN line as I still am not at peace with the latest 'rebalancing' leaving high tier USN DD's as better / more versatile torpedo AND gun boats. So choosing GE seemed a good way to avoid distorting any impressions. Still, IJN DD's which rely the most on stealth are probably the one's most affected by a skill which just negates that. Also, it's VERY hard to actually analyze a random battle, I don't know for sure why an enemy is going bow on the me, it could be he doesn't have the skill but just had his spider sense tingling ( for example ). And that is a simple scenario, and random games are quite complex with all the 'random stuff' going on. That is why I feel WG should listen more to the players from the competitive clans which have clearly indicated that it is broken. Because their gameplay environment is much more suited than randoms to point out where this perk takes a wrong turn ( red: in it's conception ).
  18. The one single thing which could 'save' the skill imo was the proposal you also liked: ability to turn of radio communications ( loosing any assisted damage which comes from it ). Anything else is just to much 'theory crafting' about something which is broken in it's core concept. edit: I finally came 3rd in the team.. still won though Guess I should try RN CL's next.
  19. Don't need to. A cruiser with the skill can hunt down DD's. A BB with the skill can avoid getting torped in the flank. A DD with this skill can hunt down other DD's more effectively. The skill totally removes any tactical manoeuvring which rely on positioning yourself as to get the most advantageous start of an engagement. It's utterly killing the game in that way. edit: that being said I only lost one game on the PT so far all playing just GE DD's ( and constantly on top of team... might be an indication of the rest of the players more then for me though ). The concept is utterly broken, and while in randoms and certainly in PT it might not show it's ugly face to a point where you can't go anything else then just say: damn that's ugly. But it's still ugly.

    That's just the thing, you were right in that some replies here are way to personal. It's not like he's making the decisions himself so I really don't get this directed 'hate' or w/e you want to call it.

  24. Ofc I already had an opinion, and it was re enforced by the actual gameplay I participated in on the PT. I don't need 100 games to see something is broken in concept The feedback is already here, they just need to respond to it correctly.
