Invisi fire is not the issue. Players are the issue. Especially players who think they should be ok soloing a DD alone in a BB. Or the one's who think that it's not their DD's job to scout for that invisi firing Zao. Or the one's who think that this is a single player free for all. Or just the one's who fail to look at the minimap and frequently find themselves out of position and thus susceptible to invisi fire. You see, invisifire doesn't happen THAT often, but when it does it's 9/10 times because someone f'd up. And therefore, invisi fire is good. It punished people who f' up. It teaches them to play the actual game. Spend effort into learning maps, into ship abilities, paying attention to ship rosters both friendly and enemy. Who when team agrees on A + B cap, don't go solo on C cap, those kind of players are actually useful to retain in the player base. Whiners about invisi fire, those who tend use THIS -> ..should just go play tetris and leave this game to the people who actually enjoy a game with some depth to it.

Bring back +-3, teach these new folks how WE actually learned the game
-
That's an excellent selling point for a premium right :>
-
Did you just compare CURRENT Minekaze with Fijin and called them 'essentially the same ship' Sorry stopped reading there. And yeah, it's true, high point captains in low tier premiums are excellent for clubbing, but how would you prevent that? Would you then also prevent people who never progress down a line and keep playing at low/mid tier accumulating the XP for the captain on their silver ships that way? You see, there isn't much you can do about this in reality.

My Chappy and Blys don't agree, they like seeing 3 or even 4 fires ( not that it happened a lot, though recently I seem to have gotten quite good RNG on the fires with them ). But yes, overall this is exactly it, it's not needed imo but it's also not really going to break the game. And, if this is needed for player retention then fine, let's do it. It can always be tweaked later on. As long as RPF stays out of live server, the rest of the possible problematic builds are of far less concern.

You're obviously German ( nickname ). Do you also think E100 is a bad tonk by any chance? I did perfectly fine with all of them on the PT, which is a small sample size but hey it's better than nothing. I will enjoy playing them on live, but I'm waiting to see what WG will do with the captain skills before starting a new line. -
So... I don't like you, I will stay between you and the enemy and when you finally think you could fire torps... aka how about nope since it is is open to abuse
-
Nope, it was said once by some official and I just keep being reminded to it whenever I would play her as the same game in for instance Leningrad or Blys gives a LOT less XP. WG doesn't disclose internal XP modifiers for ships ( just for the premium / special cammo's ).
-
Well there are some quite blatant BB buffs which aren't needed imo, but overall I think I could live with them. It's more that RPF which is just utterly broken, and which is making it hard for me to comment on the others as that might give WG the claim of legitimacy of adding RPF. One fire zone on the superstructure for BB's is not needed, but it could be tweaked after release. DE nerved, but buffed for BB's by making it count for secondaries, not needed but it could be tweaked after release. The new tree is also better, allows for more viable variations. But RPF needs to go. Could be they added it on purpose to 'draw fire' while they can add the other changes without much opposition

A big amount of the faith I had in Lesta, in making this game better then WoWp, is going down the drain lately I was a follower on YT, until today when I it was pointed out how his followers count might give him legitimacy. I liked some of his content especially where he did ship history's ( don't need his other content and even back then I wasn't always in agreement ). But yeah, lately it just seems to be going downhill for some reason/

Almost forgot, Sims also has the highest XP modifier in game

Those arguments, chasing a single DD with BB's in the end game, are utter bs imo. Why would the DD need to be catched, because the BBabies cry to much about not being able to find a DD in their BB's? That's the essence of the game. To me, it seems this argument is only given to hide the actual reason: diapers for the BBabies. Can't be otherwise since this 'reason' is total bull. And excuse my French developers, I might be more communicative and 'reasonable' if you would show up HERE on the OFFICIAL EU FORUMS so we could debate this (non)-issue directly. Realism is only needed where it doesn't conflict with gameplay

Plus, imo, buffing rudder shift times will only turn the game more into a twitch based shooter which is exactly what I don't want. I like the tactical options the game gives people, if I wanted to play Unreal Tournament I would still be playing that. I also don't think this addition would work for player retention. What we have to take into consideration is that the dev's don't want to add this because of no reason, they probably have statistics showing them a lot of new players pick BB's and then get put off from the game because off '....' ( pick anything from the BBaby complains bingo card ) Instead of handing those players more diapers they should focus on teaching them how to play the game. Add more tutorials, heck add some pve campaign people have to complete before they can start playing the actual PvP content. Teach them to not use DCP on a single fire. Teach them to enlarge the minimap and actually look at it. Teach them basic tactics at least up to the point where they realize taking a BB alone to a cap without support is generally ill advised. Don't kill off the game because new players don't want to spent the effort into learning simple basics, and killing of the game is what they are seemingly wanting to do with the RPF skill, and the generally ridiculous BB builds you can make on the PT ( DE nerf... DE working for secondaries.. BIsmarck say thanks! ... then Fire Prevention removing one off the center fire zones... ). Please, don't get me wrong, I can/will post my quite strong opinions on most things all the time, but this time it's more serious than ever before. The direction the dev's are looking at in favor of player retention will bite them in the behind if they push it through mark my words. RPF works by picking up chatter, if ships go radio silent they should be invisible for RPF.
-
Give them RPF, fine. Then give us the option to turn of radio com's. Sure it lowers teamwork but it doesn't break any tactical use of concealment which the dev's are so desperately trying to do. 2017 looks to be the year where WoWs might join the ranks of WoWp if they push this through. edit: I just do not see a middle way. It's either utterly broken or useless. The dev who came up with this skill should be fired imo.

Maybe OP should not run mods, should not use 'listen to own music' which is bugged, or just not play on a system which doesn't meet min. requirements.

Sims is the best CQC, it's also almost impossible to catch with a CV even without defensive fire. Blys is the ultimate fire starter and works way better fighting DD's from second line or fighting bigger ships. Blys is the ultimate stealth fire fire starter, the bane of the lone wolf 'Rambo' BabyBoat captain. And Yuubari is the best escort ship for any tier 4 BB, it's not without it's uses. And as I said earlier if you can aim well your effective dpm is not less then any of the normal tier 4 cruisers, coupled with the fact that you can put your Zao captain in her with DE so you can burn all the things.

Strange as most people who play the game and perform at any decent level are quite uniform in their impression of this skill. I guess Potato Finder as description of this perk works in multiple ways. Well... 1. I don't think BBabies need more diapers handed to them. 2. If RPF was added, giving players option to disable radio communications ( foregoing assisted damage, spotting for their team ) is the only viable alternative and even this would still be detrimental to the game as a whole due to less (expected) teamwork. 3. As alternative for RPF, someone suggested a 'sonar like ping every X seconds which just showed a general direction for a brief second' which is just as utterly broken as it still negates any concealed movements. Unless perhaps this sonar would be severely limited to say 7 or 8km so ships can actually use their concealment to gain favorable bearings. Sooo.. alternatives? Why exactly? Wasn't it Sub_Octavian himself who already admitted BB's were to strong? So why give them another crutch? Not that RDF only buffs BB's, but it does buff them the most.
-
Can you tell us why this skill would be needed in the first place?
-
That's just OP right? edit: well ok I admit I skipped second page... was it that bad?

IJN was all about hit and run, never about prolonged gun fights, and that was due to the excellent alpha damage. Also, having two guns in the rear is excellent for hit and run tactics where USN slow shells had trouble hitting you anyway. Yes I'm still sour about the 'rework' it was not how it should be ( and it left high tier USN DD's with better/more versatile longer range usable torps then IJN??? Are they NUTTERS or what????

As long as his followers use their own brain cells it's all good, they won't come to the conclusions he seemingly came to And ye, I am still following his channel but it's more so I can laugh at some of his comments then that I put actual value on it. Just like Jingles, I watch him for the laughs nothing else. If I want quality opinions I watch Crysantos and Flamu for instance, or strangers123 or Aerroon. Plenty of people who put up content ( be it YT or Twitch ) and who have opinions I can actually support most of the time.
-
There are no guns in the line with buffed alpha damage, it's all higher rof. And wow Yugumo can really mess things up? Guess I should tell those pesky Fletchers that, they don't seem impressed ( and server stats seem don't seem to agree either ). And who never used guns on IJN DD's were potato's anyway
-
Yuubari has the same effective dpm for people who can aim as Kuma, since the 40% accuracy module offsets the less amount of guns. But, back in her prime she was the ultimate bane of CV's, even flying a squad near her would mean they dropped like flies ( and that was BEFORE they gave her defensive AAA to offset the nerfs to her raw AAA power ). Now it's still the best escort for an Imperator
