Disgusting, I bet the Nurnberg / Furutaka / Koningsberg and De Grasse had a blast with 5 enemy BB's. Ow wait, that wasn't the point right

I'm done, quality of games made me quit.
mtm78 replied to anonym_PYC0RAuRIwe4's topic in General Discussion
Everything your DD's are ABLE to do depends on team enabling them to PTFO. And being a scout in a game sounds fun it it could be rewarded, sadly spotting damage in WoWs doesn't do this, as once a ships fires it's visible to everyone he is shooting at unless he doesn't have LOS, and in those cases a CV is the superior scout anyway ( mostly because CV can also scout the DD if the island hugger notices he is being spotted ). -
I'm trying to look at your recently played solo DD's but I have issues finding them. I'm not a terrible DD player and I find CV's much more annoying as you, especially if you're actually trying to play for objectives ( meaning enemy CV is actually really likely to find you if he really wants you ). If enemy has radar ships and you can't see them, assume they are behind the island you're sailing towards. Seems to be pretty solid, as it seems to work for me. You don't need to spot radar to know which radars can spot which ranges and which islands are likely candidates to be hiding a radar ship. The only exception is a radar Mino, there is nothing more annoying to a DD as a radar mino, as they play much more aggressive as say a USN CL and you're much more likely to be caught by one. When attempting to cap without knowing radar locations / cooldown, enter the cap backwards with your speedboost ready ( or sail fast along the edge of the cap ready to bail ). Baiting radars is much easier as dealing with planes, as a radar only spots you from behind that island ( in your scenario ) and says nothing about the amount of firepower which the enemy is able to bring down on you. If you bait a radar right, enemy might have vision/line of sight for a really short time before you duck behind an island especially with the way radar works right now with the delay in rendering for the team. Unless you want to PTFO. But can still be dealt with, even if it means PTFO goes a bit slower.

Ow if only you would give permission to post those replays here... but I won't do it without permission just so you can report me. But they show quite clearly who is trolling here, with your behavior in game your topics suddenly make so much more sense. And telling me MY contributions to this forum is nonsense, look in a mirror When have you EVER made a positive contribution to anything? Maybe stop making topics like these then I wouldn't need to tell you your 'tactics' are what is causing this game to be toxic to play.

Shut off the WoWs-Chat for Coop and Random Battles !
mtm78 replied to Major1999's topic in General Discussion
How about no? And 'no matter how you play' -> that why the hidden profile? Why does he get all the ffin credit man FeelsBadMan ftfy -
No, if you haven't used chat and someone throws a bad language complaint at you it's discarded automatically. I'm not even sure it distracts from your karma, I think not Watch out, if you get reported for giving away information location to enemy team it can have influences ( it's a quite severe offense actually ). Even if you didn't mean it like that, and give a 'generic location' like 'island behind our spawn' it's still an offense people can get sanctioned for. Best to be at the safe side and say 'Sadly my team lost their will to fight when the battle started, they are still looking for it'.

There are arrangements for cases like you describe, klokkenluiders ( sorry forum for dutch term ) are ( supposed to be ) protected by law ( talking about endangering the public ). I can't imagine Japanese management style being effective without Japanese work ethics of the subordinates btw.

Hey Devs, how about some crew on the ships while in port?
mtm78 replied to Sir_Sinksalot's topic in General Discussion
Don't tease those who don't know, just tell em it's Steve As to the idea, I really like it. Show normal maintenance tasks being performed, like the torpedo polishing, but this time I want my Dasha captain to do it. -
You damn right you did Sadly I'm starting to believe in the pointlessness of it all.
-
Yes, and just as with CV 'balance' discussion WG is wrong when assessing that more BB's in randoms is fine just because players are worse. You don't balance your game on the likeliness of not meeting good players.
-
Even a red card is survivable... look at me
-
I can see this happening in larger entities, with multiple levels of management. I was more thinking about a small organization, say 12 people in total :) And I am afraid to ask in response to the above. if you work in the public sector by any chance
-
Reminds me of when I started games asking my team how to shoot the guns on my Lowe, telling them my mom just bought it for me!
-
That might be your opinion, you no way have proven it to be true. I think more as 3 BB's is toxic to gameplay even in randoms, and is the main reason people switched from cruisers to destroyers since meeting 5 BB's per game means every flank has 2 or 3 of them and you're always in a crossfire when playing cruiser ( unless one with smoke, or one which loves hugging waifu's ). Just because average player in enemy team isn't capable of shooting AP with their battleships instead of hurr durr I shoot HE because it always does damage doesn't make it any less toxic that when you meet people with an actual brain you suddenly can't play the game but are reduced to playing 'hide behind island hope enemy pushes into me and overextends'. Sorry you must be meeting really really really crappy CV players then, as any CV wanting to win will focus enemy lolibotes first.
-
But assuming average dmg from both tier 4 CV's, and actual inability to kill or stop this from happening ( even blob doesn't prevent this, not against good CV, in the mean while still giving up map control ), you basically just need to take care of surface ships faster as the enemy. It's not even about AA bubbles as even those aren't important against good CV, flak walls are still cheesable according to the likes of @El2aZeR it's about map control, which gives you angles and denies those to the enemy. I don't suggest equal, I suggest one main force and one splinter group which consists of at least a single destroyer for vision and spotting / fighting of enemy DD, a cruiser or two which can kite well, and preferably fast battleship for exploiting those nice cross angles. That's about a 4 to 8 split. Equal force you run risk of one half running into majority of enemy team, not getting their capture point and having bad trades, because you're still 'half' of your team and you feel obligated to push.
-
It would be if he only did it on forum. Sadly he doesn't, I don't find it hilarious I find it quite annoying to see it repeated in game. About as much as I enjoy seeing lowlife team kill me because I'm 'shielding their target' with my ship ( I done > 100k dmg and did 80% of the hp of the enemy ship, but I need to stop / reverse so some lowlife no skill baddie can come in an kill him instead ). You don't give up 3/4th of the map to enemy team, CV or no CV. Dual tier 4 CV has what, combined 60-80k dmg ( avg, not single unicum but both CV's combined ). That's not enough to suddenly give up on proven truths -> lack of map control loses games. The only real change is that DD's should be played in ways they have mitigation ( either smoke available, AA blob close enough if not, or speedboost to evasion tank those rocket planes ), even more so as with RTS. And the truth shall set you free
-
Why you even quoting that, I never even made a claim like he's trying to make it look like I did right there.
-
Like I said: 1. don't give up map control 2. don't go chase CV's from the start of the game ( ofc if those skypiggies get spotted you shoot them... you shoot them a lot ) 3. don't focus on 3 caps. focus on GETTING ONE and CONTESTING another ( depending on map, this can be cap points next to each other, or not ) If you fail to take the main capture point because of meeting an equal opposing force, your splinter group might be able to prevent point pressure by getting another cap, all the while it also gives additional vision and prevents enemy from easy early flanking. You need this main force on one cap, but you need another presence on the map. If you main force runs into their 'blob' but they split off a small group which contest the 2nd and maybe 3rd cap, defending is a lot easier as pushing and you just made sure you have to commit to an all out push in one location. You can't slow play, you've given up your flanks by putting all your cards into one blob, you're probably under point pressure because you been fighting over the cap where your main push is without being able to flip it and keep it uncontested, while the enemy splinter group has managed to cap the other points you gave up. If I'm on the enemy team, I love this situation. Enemy is forced to keep pushing, and due to point pressure as well as eventually getting outflanked by the splinter group, they have no angles which give them a tactical advantage. I can always put up the replays if you really want me to dig them out? You're the one trolling here, giving advice which causes this whole game to become toxic ( both in game and on the forum ). Compared with you that seems not really impressive really, but I manage.
-
You accusing me of bringing coop tactics in random battles C'mon, you can do better, I know you can. Also, you called me a tactical genius, it's not off topic of a 'thread hijack' to point out you can call me anything, my stats ( including those in coop and randoms ... ) are open unlike yours. And we been in battles, the ONE TIME where your 'proposal' worked was because enemy was even worse as our team and the other time it didn't work as expected. Both times I was top of the team if I recall correctly btw, both times you were around 8th place. So far for calling me a tactical genius right? Sorry I didn't respond sooner, unlike some I actually have a social life.. yes, even with my post count.
-
Why did you edit your original reply, I rely liked the troll youtube video was really telling. Also, please don't talk epeen before unhiding your profile Barracuda_111
-
Yes, but I prefer you do it in coop instead.
-
I show them the greatest respect possible, I expect them to have a brain. Can't go much further, and when they disappoint I personally don't feel it is any more toxic to tell them they were not helpful in any way shape or form, compared to the toxic element of them 'having fun' at the expense of others. Sadly. The kind of people I talk about would be better off having fun in pve where there is no expectations of people partaking in teamwork. The one's who even after being given advice still won't take it, and who continue to repeat actions time and time again, somehow expecting a different result. Ow yes I know. But where did I say otherwise? I just sad that I think it's not toxic to tell these people they are being of no help to their team. I can't help it the rules don't comply with it.
-
It only counts if the blob actually keeps moving, 9/10 times it does not. So killing 3 ships on a flank but getting held up by the rest with the remainder of the enemy team suddenly having 3/4th of the map to use ...
-
How do you expect constructive comments when you keep making proposals like these? Like I told you in game, this tactic is just stupid. Blobbing up in your advice meant giving up map control, which you just do not do. Teaching the new players at tier 4 these 'tactics' is what's wrong with the current playerbase. Those who should give advice are sadly often ignored, and those who should be ignored sadly are often not. Yes. A bad one, a rather toxic one even imho since I know OP actually tells people this in game as well. Sadly I couldn't carry the team after they followed this guy's 'advice'.
-
You're missing the fact it was already established it didn't improve, the guy's already fired probably from every job he ever had. You think noticing and pointing out the lacking productivity of a coworker is misconduct? Guess you're a bit of a snowflake.
