Something about me quoting your overall DD stats and not your nice fancy purple recent stats, that seems to have you quite mad with how you keep responding. I don't dismiss people based on a tad of insanity, I tend to try and judge their arguments. With you this seems improbable though atm. You claimed I was a DD main, those screens say how many games I played in which classes. Seems pretty simple man but since you needed some help I don't mind pointing it out? Still think I need to provide more proof? How about you finally start adding actual arguments to your opinions instead, that way adult people can have a real discussion here. edit: My USN DD's are all fun and strong mid tier I'm struggling with Fletcher tho. Low / mid tier Frenchies are fun but fun police can be an issue since no smoke and your evasion is a lot less when you don't have speedboost running. Low / mid tier VMF is fun, but I unlocked them before the split so not sure what to recommend. Gunboating is pretty wide, I guess you mean mostly against capital ships and not other DD's ( that's more skirmishing ) and for that I don't think you can go wrong with VMF especially once you get to around Kiev.

This is the thing I dislike. Friesland and Kidd seem to be the best AA DD's judging from screenshots. Before I took my long break I grinded Grozovoi so I could middlefinger CV players... sadly it seems Grozovoi isn't an AA destroyer anymore. Sadly tho if you accept this to be the only problem ( imo it's not ) there is no fix possible. If we accept that mechanics might be responsible for some of the things the stupid playerbase is doing 'wrong' there might be a possible fix somewhere. Like anyone sane would include CV's The issue is that if you're not in a DD, some random 'scrub' might be. And then you're in trouble when in a BB for instance because some aspects of the game are better suited for stealthier ships ( like, moving around and contesting stuff which get's reset when shot at ). If I know my own DD player is good, I have no issues playing any other class. btw Rubber = Runner ( inside joke it seems ). Radar mino being rare is exactly what makes me die to them ( not expecting them to be able to radar me ) It's like meeting El2azer in a CV, just bad luck ;) I agree that radar can be player around ( don't need to stay away from a cap, might even bait the radar by entering as long as you have a good exit plan ). This is why I dislike playing Yamato, but love playing my mid tier BB's solo. Importance of your own DD's scales with tiers, I can work with bad DD's on my team a lot better when there is less potential threat from the enemy one's ( and contrary to you, I feel mid tier BB's are stronger overall as destroyers certainly in current CV meta, EXCEPT in game modes where capping is paramount ). This is also true and the only reason WG offered me why I accept they changed their position on the class distribution. Imo this is what started most issues, with how few cruisers we got and how many BB's there is less emphasis on heavy cruisers and WG made light cruisers counter battleships better as heavy cruisers counter them. With less BB's per team the game imho would be so much better. edit: having less BB's per team would also increase value of cruisers and decrease value of destroyers.

If you look at when the game was released, and how it transitioned from 2-3 BB's per team to the constant 5 per team we have now, it's been accompanied by a lot of very vocal complains about anything which hurts battleships. We used to have at least a thread per day during weekends about 'HE spam' 'invisible destroyers' and what not, and during a week when the mods were more active we might run into two or three in those five days before it was weekend again and we would see those threads pop up on both saturday and sunday again. Maybe because you weren't here from the start, and maybe because most of the boxes on the bingo card been ticked already? There is a reason WG allows 5 BB's per side when they themselves have historically stated this to be problematic, and it has a lot to do with the ( vocal ) playerbase. Recent times you might be right tho, since all those boxes already been ticked any REE thread from a BB Kevin is usually closed pretty quickly by the mods, especially from hidden profile players so besides there being even less incentive for BB Kevin's to REE that much, if they eventually do they get told to git-gud and mods close the thread which I think is And you're 100% right.

Yes they have, especially against bad player flying into flak clouds a lot ( they spawn the most of them ). They also usually have high constant DPS, with only a few cruisers being able to match this. BB's also have the highest effective alpha damage, better accuracy as torpedo's will ever get in this game, some do 30kts+ and are not slow at all, some which are slower turn in smaller circles as some cruisers do, and there are BB's who can get their concealment up to ranges where any cruiser which runs into them shats their underwear instantly. And yet, it's not them having the highest survival rate in the game, guess that's due to more bad players in them right? In a domination game, the class which is on the forefront of contesting those is critical to the team yes, but relies on proper support to do their job. A team which doesn't support their DD's in contesting caps will soon have no DD's left and cry it's 'bad DD's' which are the problem. Tell that to radar cruisers. A random radar Mino has ruined many a DD's dream of a solo warrior. I'll tell Rubber he's a casual when he streams next, you know being BB main and all When this game was in early testing you know what BB's were? The HARDEST TO PLAY class, because you were the foundation of your entire team. Sure, you needed AA escorts because DFAA actually made CV's need to have some skill, and you would love to have a screening DD with you and / or a cruiser with hydro, but all of them combined still relied on your presence. I don't like playing my Yamato because I don't play it enough to have a decent feel for the guns, but my low and mid tier BB's are perfectly capable of offering finesse to the enemy team. Especially btw new VMF BB's with their close range dispersion can be attributed this 'finesse' when landing 8 out of 9 of your AP shells on a DD 8km away. Thanks for this I needed a laugh. We all know it's BB Kevin which brings WG the money, that's why they allow 5 of them per team. The issue though is that this superunicum also has arguments to going alongside with his opinions. And I don't agree that we can dismiss them based on him being to good of a player, if anything balancing should take into account his arguments more as the arguments from people who are statistically proven to be unable to understand game mechanics to the same level as he does. Yes, that also means I am willing to let my opinion be second to other, better players. I remember complaining about Shimakaze being crap, and it was @ghostbuster_ who constantly corrected me. In the end he was right, and I was wrong, and my Shima stats are I think the best I have on tier X. People with high win rates usually have them because they can understand and thus exploit game mechanics better as players with less understanding of these mechanics. Therefore the opinion of these players should count more. No, it doesn't mean people with bad win rate don't have any valid opinions, but the validity drops of when it comes to actual game mechanics. Their opinions are mostly valid from the viewpoint of immersion and general acceptation of game mechanics ( not understanding, just accepting they are there.. see stealth fire change long ago ).

Now add in the fact that a good DD player who actually PTFO's usually is in known locations your whole 'just hide' bull is exposed as just that, bull. As I said, I tried looking up some solo DD games from you lately, can't find them sadly. Maybe put up some replays showing us how easy it is? Together with your recent DD solo stats.... you know Going from what you say this seems to be the case. You mean you disregard every single argument given just because it doesn't suit your narrative. 1. CV dmg has shifted from BB's to other classes 2. Other classes have less mitigation / tanking ability 3. But biggest cashcow for WG are BB Kevin's so overal REEwork was a great success. Indeed this is an absolute assasin comment, BB's are the most pampered class in the game. But hey, don't we know who historically has always been a bit of a BB main, and who has historically always claimed DD's were to powerful, and well since REEwork favors BB's the most for him it was a total success. Guess what, your 'evidence' is 100% useless / anecdotal. We can also ask @El2aZeR his ranked sprint results, and it will show CV's are the most powerful class.

Nah as I explained radars are easier to deal with especially after the spotting rework ( hint: they should add the same render delay to CV spotting ) so you don't need to stay passive. It get's trickier and trickier when you add more unknown location enemy radars ofc. Yeah no not really, you can see them coming so you abandon the cap? Or smoke up, letting enemy DD know where to torp you? And if it's a good CV, he will know the duration of your smoke and be there to touch you dirty when the smoke clears. My French DD's tend to get killed now and then by things I can see coming, but which have unlimited range / duration and which is faster as I am even with speedboost ( which does help a lot with mitigating the damage sometimes even avoiding it against bad CV players ).

Uh yeah you're so hard to find right, when most of the games are domination games where you're actually expected to PTFO which makes finding you quite trivial for a good CV. Yeah... except when you smoke up and his planes aren't spotted anymore. There are also more DD's with laughable AA values as there are DD's with decent AA ( well some premiums ofc seem to have good AA.. ). So I took out this Huanghe, I know I know crappy w/e, put full AA build on it and a captain with AFT/BFT and I shot down basically all the planes of a same tier CV in a training room ( div buddy wanted me to blow of some steam as I was complaining about carriers to much ) ... but it took me more time then the game normally would last, and if it were an actual game... I would have been death doing what I was doing to mitigate his damage as well as possible ( predictable evasion which works to mitigate CV's damage also opens you up for his allies ). And in the end I still ended up making a mistake with a dodge which bled my speed to much allowing him to land a torpedo I couldn't dodge anymore. CV's do have virtually unlimited planes, unless you meet bad players which fly to through flak clouds constantly or who don't have situational awareness flying into close range AA blobs. And this is an issue with most CV's, the CV's which I think are actually best in this regard ( as opponent ) seem to be the RN CV's as I see them with incomplete squads a lot more often in late game ( so I'm guessing their replenishment rate is much lower ). USN and IJN CV's imo have a replenishment rate which is compensating for extremely bad players flying frequently through flak clouds, and this enables people who don't fly through those clouds like they are McDonalds and them being hungry to eat. Do you visit the rework thread? Seems some of the better players like @El2aZeR don't really think you're speaking the truth there. And not just him, many CV players themselves admit how broken the class is. Ofc you have baddies claiming it's balanced, but then again there were people on forum claiming Belfast was balanced, and I seen people in game who can't get a Imperator Nikolai or a Gremmy above 50% win rate in their hands. So yeah, I do think the opinion of the better players should account for more as that of bad players, simply because the bad players are less likely to even have enough understanding of current mechanics to properly debate them. Indeed, let's ignore fire damage completely, since it can be healed.. DoT has always been how CV killed skilled players, not devastating strikes you need to be potato to eat those. Ow sorry @Floofz guess @El2aZeR already responded, I shouldn't have used my summoning powers Yes because CV don't offer counterplay and DD's do. If your entire team dies to DD's without spotting them it's their own fault. Torpedo's are BY FAR the least reliable damage dealing weapon in the game for a reason, WASD + brain negates them entirely.
