    Being in top 4 means nothing if you didn't do that one thing you could do which would have won the game ( tldr your examples ). There been times I called people idiots and they got more XP then me, doesn't mean they were not doing it wrong. Easiest example is a camping sniping BB which lasts throughout the whole match and does decent damage, finishes off some low hp enemies at the end as well, but loses the game due to enemy having 3 caps for most of the match because he didn't support / tank for his team. Sometimes I come top and I know I played terrible. XP list doesn't mean you did the right tactical thing
  2. It would have to be tweaked to fit gameplay ofc, a single AP bomb through the deck could wreak havoc in real live.

    Nah, incendiary AP is the best suggestion I've heard on this forum in ... well, ever I guess Burn the BB's back to port... will be fun if you can citadel others cruisers AND also burn them at the same time...

Makes perfect sense, remove utility from existing weapons ( long range torpedoes ) and introduce new weapon system which can do the same and then some, forcing people to grind new ships ( -> premium time et al ) My bet is still on rockets for fighters. Or perhaps AP bombs for carriers, which would make a lot of people stop complaining about weak USN CV's
  9. Running away as benefit for engaging DD's I meant Also, I maybe been torped by a German BB three or four times... so imho that's a mute point. DD getting torped is either yolo or naab ( I been both so meh ). But you can can lock headings and do area denial stuff which makes it easier to hit. Secondaries are also more powerful. But that bearing lock and stuff is for suicide rush DD's, I don't need to be in 6km to torp a Gneisenau which doesn't have hydro and might not have vigilance either. Turret traverse might be quicker but Gneisenau has six guns. Colorado has a lot more. I can dodge Gneisenau salvo a lot easier ( Trolorado having lol spread actually works in it's favor in these engagements ). It's those guns I fear, not the secondaries. Close range USN BB with it's turret pointing the right way is often direct way to port. But, yeah if his turrets are in the wrong direction even if I get spotted it's not a big deal as his sec. Either way, you're talking like BB's to go in and actually spot the enemy DD's. That's not a BB's job, certainly not those without hydro. Gneisenau is the odd duck in the line imo, if you said Bis or Scharn I think no one would object

    Only happens if a chat report carried over from the last match, sometimes you get the notification later. I do believe chat abuse reports are ignored if you haven't used chat in that game Ofc, chat abuse reports lowers karma so even while I just been a joly old chap and spend most of my match in my Sims providing smokes for a Neptune and Atago so they could support my cap zone's I still have a low karma.. just saying I do get complimented but seems people don't like criticism. And well, I guess you should be in some of my games where I get reported for saying stuff which shouldn't be applicable to a chat abuse report. Being critical != toxic. Spamming insults = toxic. And yes, I admit I've crossed that line in some games, and those reports in those games are not something I object to. I ' earned ' them ( in the most negative manner possible sadly ). But it's this accumulation of reports also for things which would never happen if those reports were checked manually which makes me unhappy with the system. Also, even on forum people sometimes accuse me of being confrontational even when I agree with them, guess my communication skills leave something to be desired Extrapolate that into ingame chat, and you might understand how unhappy I am with getting reports sometimes even for things I say with the right intentions ( like saying: " Why did you do that for, you threw away the victory by XYZ while all we had to do was XZY " -> you been reported *FeelsBadMan* ).

    And what is wrong with politely pointing out someone is " doing things wrong " ???? As long as people don't curse or insult, criticism is not something chat abuse report option is meant to ' punish ' edit: which reminds me stop using this wows-stat thingie as seeing the < 45% performance matching with how much of a ....... player some people are makes it VERY hard to not cross the line and just insult their intelligence.

    If Vichy France's navy was ' insignificant ' Germany wouldn't have tired to seize them at Toulon me thinks... and the British wouldn't have tried to sink them either... I would dare to say that in a ' what if ' scenario. their ships would be interesting performers.. and gladly as this is a game, we will get to do try that out ( well kinda.. it's not like a real simulator but hey ).

    https://eu.warships.today/vehicles -> select CA/CL and RN, and notice there is not a single ship only one ship ( Emerald ) with a sub 50% win rate? They might be "bugged" with their smoke, but compare that with the GE CA list, or the USN CA list Just to indicate why WG might not think there really is a problem with them If people want to 'fix' the RN they should start losing in them more

    Ofc it is, because WG wants more new player retention and they seem to have data this isn't happening. Coupled with ' newbies ' coming on forums complaining about ' OP this and OP that ' and accusing whole game to be full of cheaters WG thinks making the game easier to play for those people will result in a larger player base. I think it's a bad road to go on, and that it will results in less overall player retention. You can dumb down a game to keep new/bad players happy, but it's the good players, those who spend some effort into learning the game, who have invested in it more and are therefore more likely to stay around and spend money on the game. The ' casuals' will wander off the ' next new thing ' when that comes along and it will end up like WoWp.
  17. I got CE on my NO, and yes it's stealthy and that allows me to follow a DD into or close to a cap. Yes the AP is brutal, and she isn't that big and yes I even seen angling doing nice things against cruisers/light cruisers trying to AP me. But AAA is worthless without CV's ( and tbh neither is my captain specced for it due to this lack off CV's... after the skill reset I might switch some things around though as I just don't want to spend money on it. And escorting is what I do with it, well I support the DD's on my team that is. That is winning me games but it's not giving me much damage obviously. Also, I will freely admit I don't play it even close to often enough to really get used to the lazy arcs ( IJN GE and VMF cruisers are what I play the most, and enjoy the most.. I even never liked playing Cleveland despite it being strong and me not doing bad with her ). I would like to have a higher rof, with that she would be much more enjoyable to play ( aka less frustrating.. waiting for reloads on a cruiser is so.. meh! ). But on the other hand I should just freely admit that NO is not the type of cruiser I enjoy, even when I get it to work in some way. Maybe I should experiment with different playstyles a bit as well

    Also I had 3 hours of sleep this night.... played Atlantic Fleet till the early hours.. stupid me Doesn't fix anything as you can't perform tactical flanking within a minute. And making it so it would allow it just removes any and all reason to have it in the first place. As previously said: you can't 'fix' something which is broken in it's core concept. edit: unless you make it a consumable with a high reload timer, like 5 minutes or something, which then works for five seconds. Which no one would take, but hey we got more of those consumables people should never take, like spotter planes on German BB's
  20. NO is just bad. It's my lowest dmg cruiser on tier 8, and I can't recommend it to anyone. The only reason I have 67% wr with her is because of division play, especially with an usn DD pushing into/very close to a cap and supporting him with radar can be a nice influence even if my own damage output is not that high. In 17 solo games with her I also have 58% wr doing this, as relying on random allied DD's to smoke and make optimal use of radar usage gives a lot lower efficiency. And well my division members all tend to be non potato's so that helps a lot as well edit: one game I was fighting a Minotaur mostly alone... When I angled he couldn't really do a lot of damage and I could citadel him at any angle, but my aiming wasn't that good and I got like 5 citadels in that engagement ( which lasted 10+ minutes) and each time he was on low hp he just faded to stealth and healed back so much hp. If the rpm was higher the ship would be very strong, but with the slow reload it just can't deal the damage quickly enough in those situations. Now before you say I should be expected to beat a tier X in NO, he was obviously a bad player and I think in almost all my other tier 8's I would have won that fight ( exception maybe for Edin.. ).

    ^^^^ You mean you want to roll over now and give the signal to WG it's fine to add it to the live client It can't be changed to be less broken, unless the core concept is changed. Any perk which kills concealment is game breaking. Radar was already a big hit on DD's, certainly for IJN now USN can torp from outside or almost outside ( VMF radar + Fletcher ) radar ranges but for IJN to be effective they have to be within 8km. And now they want to introduce a perk which shows exactly where the closest enemy is..... Again a proposal which would hit IJN more then USN high tier DD's, so how about nope.gif? Make it 15km or better yet, just throw the whole idea of a perk which does this out of the window plox. Imperator Nikolai I / Gremyashchy are not broken, because not everyone has one.
