    No actually some of would <3 to go back to +-3 for a week or so just so the new guys can see how we actually LEARNED how to play the game. Tactical awareness is something which is learned, and MM tier spread enhances the need to develop it.

    Both of you have a good point Sorry did not mean to sound pedantic It's just that you can argue for Belfast beating Blys because Bly cant's stealth fire at it, and then later say Belfast wins against Scharnhorst because it can shoot from smoke using other spotters. We should perhaps make a clearer intended scenario for future likewise comparisons?

    Blyskawica: 39 + 1 = 40 Belfast: 29 + 1 = 30 Scharnhorst: 42 - 1 = 41 Strange argument really as when in smoke you can't see the Scharnhorst We been talking this like it's 1v1 end game scenario, if not Blys can just stealth fire everything.

    If you have less DD's then enemy it means your own DD should depend on it's cruiser support more. Most importantly for that single DD is to not smoke himself to early, he will take damage but he has to keep the enemy DD's spotted and give his cruisers and BB's ( yes, in this scenario even BB's should first focus the DD, even a single overpen will remove a sufficient amount of HP to make it worth while ) the chance to deal with the enemy DD's.

    Yup MM is not the issue on it's own, but it is for some tiers/ship classes. CV's are very troublesome in +-2, a tier X cv can drop most tier 8 BB's without much risk of losses ( to the point where it would seriously hurt his reserves ) and vice verse a tier VIII cv in a match with only tier X BB's can't drop a single one without serious risks of eating into his reserve count and being useless very quickly. There is also a bit of a power level trap between tier 6 and 8 and 7 and 9 ( 5 and 7 as well but less pronounced I think ).

    EU more 'toxic'? Maybe because NA has more potato's which don't get salty by other potato's? Ow and average age was high 20's low 30's iirc last time a poll was done here, but who cares about facts right, better to turn off chat. Ow and 37% win rate, and coming here to brag about turning of chat because it doesn't add anything to the game? Please stay on NA server. I bet you got a spotter plane on your Tirpitz. Objectively you are a very bad player, and I can totally understand people who want to use chat to get you to stop being a detriment to your own team's chance of victory. That IS what chat is for you know, trying to coordinate, communicate and BETTER people who are doing it wrong ( and in your case, VERY wrong ). If you don't want to listen to other people giving you well meant advice, please stop playing PvP and go play COOP, you might find it more fun as well as I can't imagine losing 63% of your games being fun to anyone.

    Don't agree, since it depends on the tactical situation. Ofc the Blys will most likely lose an equal hp fight, but so would Belfast lose to a Scharnhorst. The added utility of a DD with stealth torping ability and the best concealment of the 3 makes it the ship with the highest tactical value in most situations.

    Spotting calculations are all server side, so unless someone is hacking WG servers ( and this is a steep feat to pull off since you need to isolate your own match instance on the server and alter properties for this match only / for your own ship only.. usually people who can do this try to alter things during IBAN transfers or something ). Sounds more like you had a client server desync which can cause ships to 'jump' a lot which also messes up how it appears the spotting system works.

  13. I played 26% of my games in a class I hate? Wow... I must be a sado masochist. Seriously now, stop the ad hominem we're trying to help you and in your case that means you first have to acknowledge you need to look at yourself FIRST since you're obviously doing something in a manner which causes YOU to perform so badly while others seem to be able to perform on a higher level. It's not DD's, and it's not CV's, which are causing your lacking performance. If that was true, if would affect EVERYBODY in the same manner, and that is why we use statistics. Not to chest bang, not to brag, and not to belittle you but to try and HELP you find the actual cause of your low performance.

    Most of the time a good push of center force to B will enable them to get broadside shots at any enemy BB's who want to push to A ( unless they had a lucky spawn ). That is what makes A viable, you will at most be fighting an equal DD / CA/CL force ( again depending on spawns and team lineups ).

    If it can work in MWO why can't it work in WoWs? Just enable people to ' take command ' ( and make it vote based we can vote out the 45% potato which thinks he knows best ) and enhance minimap so you can give commands based on map square ( edit: and draw lines/vectors on it... sure there will be some penises at start but it won't last I think... hope at least ). Sure, potato's will potato but there are more average then really bad players. And the average players tend to be willing to strategize especially if you have the tools to show a comprehensive plan. Sorry for continuing OT, but in regards to this thread it's very much related. This map is one of the best examples where having a plan and following it with the right ships will result in very high win rates.

  17. There is a difference between playing agressive and overextending. I'm quite a passive player, but I will push when tactical situation warrants it. Still, me saying I am passive does not mean I just sit at the back being useless, if I were I wouldn't be performing on a decent enough level. The problem with these discussions is they always want to ignore facts and complain about something which is in their eyes the key issue, when it's actually not. If ' invisible DD's ' were the REAL reason, I would be as affected by them as he is. Which would mean I would also have 45% win rate in battleships. The fact that I don't, should show him that the issue lies elsewhere. Sadly it seems people don't understand. I suck at playing Shima, I want it buffed because I feel I'm not only underperforming because I don't know how to play it. But when Ghostbuster_ says that in his opinion the balance isn't that bad, I LISTEN to the guy because I know he is a better player and he can make the ships work I struggle with. I like to think that this listening is what makes me a better player in the long run.

    So many people posting ' obviously you do XYZ ' without mentioning looking at team compositions and spawns => wrong approach to the game imo. Middle group should aggressively move to B so that any large group trying to push A from north has to give side shots to those people. Tactic works, as long as people follow it ( and you have the DD and CA/CL spawns to go for A with sufficient force to not be instantly overrun ).

    This is the ONE map where I always use chat to at least try to coordinate, because it's the easiest to call tactics for depending on spawn locations and team compositions.
  21. You -> 45% win rate in your BB's. Me -> 67% win rate in my BB's, even if I would remove the Imperator which is 'broken' I am still at 66%. Are you really telling me you know better then me how the class interaction is? With your 11 games in a destroyer, do you feel qualified to be blaming 'iDDiots' for your lack of performance? Especially since in those 11 games you performed on par with your battleships, which is terrible. To bad you can't use any actual facts to support your claim of ' World of HE ', and have to resort to constant whining. edit: and calling Flamu out for only calling ' fluke ' games, he seems to have them quite often judging by his content, more so OFF COURSE he posts games which highlight things he wants to show especially if it revolves around new captain builds and the playstyle which go with them. Luckily for people like you, he streams almost daily so if you think the games are to cherry picked, go watch the vods and you might notice they aren't such big flukes after all. Or just check his statistics, you know the actual indicator of performance ( performance which mostly comes from actually understanding game mechanics ..... ).

    Nah A + B, seems to work perfectly for me when we have 2+ DD's and a CA going for A through the channel, and the BB's near B hurry to left of that island near it so they can support A while not being shot from C. C is almost always pushed by enemy in same way as we push A, and that's fine, the fight is about B anyway the other caps are just for point pressure. edit: Ofc I'm 99% one of the DD's going for A, and sometimes it doesn't work due to hard pressure from enemy and not enough support from team, but usually you can still escape A and delay they cap so it's always worth to try.
