Why, if smoke ( = DD's ) were so 'broken', does OP win more games with his BB's then his DD's? Maybe the crying about smoke ( just like fires + he ) should be toned down a notch, even while reading these threads do cause some serious laughter it's getting a bit long in the tooth.

Ow and if you want to set a limit, I wouldn't do it on total battles but on battles per irrevocable rank, where ranking up in time becomes harder and harder due to more limited amount of games relative to the number of stars you have to gain.

Limit it to ONE battle, you win you're the best player on the server ( obviously you carried the scrubs on your team! ) and if you lose you had bad luck because the scrubs on your team made you lose! No need to drag it out to 150 games! @OP, you do realize those battle button spammers are just as likely to be on the enemy team?

Yeah they might claim you can respec with elite captain xp. Which is true but only benefits those who have ( enough ) of that. After a global change which certainly affects how people could spec their captains I do expect compensation though. Maybe limited to those captains you were using CE on.

Fading back into stealth quicker when you break contact? Having less concealment so you can approach closer to launch torpedoes? Both of these apply to DD's, and most of those which benefitted from open water stealth fire can also use concealment in that way. Most... I mean WG should still give a free respec ofc

Gained 22m credits? Check Got all free ships on the alternate line? Check Had to spend doubloons on retraining captains? Check 2:1 in favor of it being a good way to handle things. I would have liked getting either captains with enough XP points to be competitive at the tiers they were given, but we did get all the ships on both lines which is a big bonus and credit compensation to boot. I don't see any issues with that.

Why didn't you try editing the xml file as indicated? The client for all regions is the same ( well it is now... WG EU once ripped parts of a patch out ). The only 'difference' is in the login servers indicated by that xml file.
