So I want to protect CA/CL's, DD's, BB's and my post history shows me defending the role of CV's in this game, but according to you I'm just here to defend 'the class of ships I play'. That's just... delusional at best. -
My crystal ball predicts this will be an eternally recurring circumstance in these threads.

case closed? Because it's also possible to snipe DD's from 19km with a BB, I done it myself. But it's just as impractical as trying to burn down a single BB over the course of half or 3/4 of the game, there are usually better things you could do. I am always open minded as long as the arguments provided sway me enough. Your's don't. I might be stubborn though, I'll give you that Now we're getting to a point I would be actually getting swayed by arguments... if they were more fleshed out than 'a few select buffs'. Please elaborate. -
I did, Tashkent ( also using speed boost modification for 3m speedboost ). Didn't feel as useful, even if you don't sit in smoke much with VMF DD's you still want that 'get our of jail' card for when you need it, or when you want to smoke up an ally which is getting focused

Katori also outranges anything on her tier but she is balanced by her speed. Giving BBabies more range at lower tiers is as bad as you can go when taking into account low tiers is where players pick up their habits. Typical WG. -

Nah ofc he will counter your flawed argument with saying that it is WG which has been doing it wrong and that you should not counter BB's in a gunboat but focus only on enemy torpedo boats -

Because only idiots would trade smoke for radar in random battles? So 'not nerving' smoke so that you can't shoot from it won't 'nerf' DD's trying to deal damage with their guns? Owww.... wait... you think they should only act as torpedo boats, yeah... right. WG was so wrong with adding gunboats to the game, total mistake. /sarcasm And weren't you 'done' with this 'debate'? Not that it's an actual debate btw, that would require two people who are open minded and are capable of exchanging reasonable arguments. Go in a training room, put in a static bot BB, get in their with your gunboat and show us how long it takes to burn him down. Now add someone with a brain to that BB which can manage repair and heal, and which is manoeuvring so you don't land all your shots. Now go in the training room with your BB and a bunch of bot cruisers. Tell me how many cruisers you kill in the time that gunboat would sink you. -

You seem to be luckier then me or most other people. And five BB's is EXACTLY the issue already, add 3 or 4 DD's and how many cruisers are left? BB's should be max 3 per side. Yes it does. It is what you said, exactly. So the addition of GUNBOATS to the game with crap concealment so no way to initially focus on finding and killing enemy torpedo DD's unless allied torpedo dd's actually spot for them, is just 'wrong'? Good thing you know better then WG. They do the most damage and live the longest off all 3 classes ( CV's are a special case so not included ). And that is indeed fine with me. As long as there are 3 per side which is even according to WG the ideal distribution. Like this -> quoted post removed 147. That I'm not NT does not mean my logical reasoning capability is 'bad' it's just a lot different then yours. -

Another attempts at a layman's argument, I didn't claim it was the ONE thing which can make the game campy, I said it's the most prolific one which should be addressed first Who cares what you think, it's WG which admits there is a BB overpopulation nothing you think will change that And there we are.... DD's are NOT intended to be BB's [edited]and spot and screen for them, they are intended to COUNTER them. You got some twisted views on this game man, I'm glad you're not working in game balance department, edit: You do realize all RN CL's have hydro from Fiji up? And they still get torped in their smoke? Or shot? Or just spotted by enemy with radar? -

Funny, I had the exact same feeling since you failed to address anything I said. So DD's should only use torpedoes? WG in their infinite wisdom is already removing stealth firing and now you want to remove shooting from smoke to Proof that you ( deliberately? ) fail to actually read. An EXCESS of BB's makes the game campy. Belfast can't sit in smoke while running hydro + radar the WHOLE time, radar doesn't last that long. But still, you're right, Belfast's toolbelt is to extensive certainly in combination with the tier 8 concealment module. -

Yawn. So you think that's why we had way more viewers with each and every new iteration? I can't always watch the games as I'm adjudicating but I do watch back the vod's for those I missed and I heard where exceptionally good at the very least. Yup. -

Many people played in beta without having the forum tag, they never posted during beta so the forum didn't automatically adjust their tag. Strange thing though, signing up for an beta test and never ever posting in the forum to provide feedback to the developers

BBaby allert BBaby alert BBaby alert You do realize WG has said themselves there is a PROBLEM with BB OVERPOPULATION? So whatever any individual might 'think' is irrelevant in the grand scheme of things. They ARE problematic and they SHOULD be fixed so that they aren't as popular, or WG has to introduce proper class limits per battle. QQ everyone who isn't a BBaby is a bad person who likes CA's and DD's.... well yeah I like CA's and more so I think CA's should be the main force in a WoWs battle. And guess what, again... WG agrees.

1. Looking at your hit ratio's I think you should be happy with the build in aim assist. Without it, games would have to last a LOT longer then the 20m timer we got now, since doing damage to ships would take a lot longer 2. You're a decent player, you can't complain about loose streaks and win streaks like streaks aren't normal part of rng. 3. There is less rng in this game then there is in WoT for instance. Penetration and dmg mechanics do not involve RNG other then a very miniscule part in angle normalization ( iirc ). There is no +-25% penetration or +-25% damage rolls. Now you start to sound like alu hat territory... WG controls who wins and loses? And you think there is an algorithm which keeps you at your current level while others are put on higher and lower levels? Really?

Do you also complain when you win that many games from a session, or is it 'skill' then? Not that MM can't be troll, it can. But I still believe it's random and if it's random it should even out leaving you as only constant in all your games. Afaik MM doesn't balance divisions though, but I think I read somewhere that they are considering this as well?

Hey I fail while 'dealing with smoke' just as often as the next guy ( who isn't a total potato all the time ). but I don't feel it's broken at all. There are other things which are a way bigger problem and which don't have built in ( as in, built into the game.. ) counters. -

I think you meant right but said it wrong, AFT on US DD's would mostly be a handicap as you can't hit much and will be spotted anyway? Blys benefits from SF but can reasonably evasion tank was well as long as you keep a lot of distance ( more then what you would when you could stealth fire ). So this change will just make DD's play more in the back. -

Did I mention RNG somewhere? Ow wait, yeah if you remove invisifire and make ships always visible when shooting they will be shot back, BY BB's for instance, where THEIR RNG can royally screw you or them. See, I nowhere mentioned RNG from DD's, just RNG in relation to DD's when SF is removed ( and ofc, this doesn't apply to those people who only use torps and never shoot their guns ). Funny, VMF line seems to rely a lot more on guns, lots and lots of 130mm shells from those guns. There is far less RNG in their shells then BB's you know, which is why I never mentioned RNG from DD's themselves. Ow but yes, even torpedo spreads have RNG now, it's not like before where every spread had the exact same spacing in between torps there is now RNG making random gaps. And so do I play cruisers, battleships and destroyers. You mentioning that you do as well doesn't make your opinion more valid than others who do the same. -

Funny how you know so much of what happens during internal testing with ST So that is why during competitive play there seems to be the trend that those who sit static in their smoke lose? So countering a perfectly valid game mechanic with another game mechanic is 'not fun and engaging' for you? Well, it is to me, I absolutely love killing DD's and CL's which sit in their smoke thinking they are safe when they are not. You made the claim that 'broken' smoke is making the game more static and campy, when there are other bigger issues which cause actual camping WITHOUT people having an actual counter to them unlike smoke which has plenty of counters. The overpopulation of BB's also does nothing to contribute to the general fun level of the game. So it's broken according to you. Glad to have consensus about that finally. So heal shouldn't also dictate how BB's play? Meaning they shouldn't risk getting some HE + fire damage since that's 100% healable? Sounds illogical to me to complain about one line of ships which has a consumable which is a defining characteristic and not mention an entire class which also has a defining characteristic. See above Like heal? That is why I grinded to Yamato right, because I resent a class of ships? Which I played almost as much as my DD's were it not for my late push to high tier VMF DD's before the split? Right.... -
