Yup that is what I meant with it being hard to get full duration floodings. Saving one torp launcher just makes the chance higher that enemy will evade first salvo and then he's aware of where you are and landing anything in the second salvo is even harder yet. And if you start with setting fires, aka fire your guns, enemy know where you are making landing torps in the first place something which only happens against baddies. Torps from stealth. pray for flooding -> wait for repair -> BBQ time with guns. Flooding damage buff is [edited]in relation to BBaby catering meta. -

100mm gun's need to be kept firing if you want to have any noticeable impact on the game. -
But you also have all the attention of the enemy for yourself, most ships don't really cope well with massive focus fire.... *cough balance changes cough remove stealth fire cough MakeBBGreatAgain*

Yes I did and no I didn't change my mind at all. That is why I said they benefit from teamwork. And if you play against ship X and you got no one to help you counter it, reposition and engage elsewhere. You know, teamplay is dynamic.

Sorry noodles but... WG does NOTHING to compensate classes, BUT they do BUFF BB's ( besides nerving all other classes which is obvious ) because now they get spotted out to max range of their gun's. It's not just SF removal at play, it them being wonkers about the actual game balance. Why would I push in with a DD now, sure I can win the local engagement and kill the enemy DD but even if I do I keep being spotted by the cruisers 14km away. If the enemy DD smokes up right away after I open up, he get's free radar because the campers 14km behind him are still spotting me. And on top off that, THEY BUFF BB/'s by lowering their concealment penalty after firing? Really? And community can't show their disgust with this BBaby bingo card development roadmap? Because that is what you're seeing, not insults, just shear disgust. It forced classes to work together. We can't have that right, way to high of a requirement for BB Steve. And yes, I said BB Steve, not new players. Because I don't know any new player who doesn't get concealment after the first explanation. Well maybe some 4x% scrub but those can't even manage consumables properly and WG shouldn't cater to them to begin with. Not unless they want to dumb the game down more and more and more until the people who actually are the foundation of their playerbase pack up and leave.

hahahahhahahahahha So you want Akizuki to like.. have 5k dmg per game on BB's with guns max? It works by saturation, not alpha damage. Want to make DD's shoot, fade away and shoot again, fine, give them 203mm guns.... ow wait -
Yeah, people really <3 the German DD's right So all those DD's with 4km torps are square out of luck

What cruisers? Cruisers are in so far minority, people take a DD because there are so many ( way to many... ) BBabies in queue. Then MM has a fart and put's 5 DD's in a team with 5 BB's and 1 CA and a CV.. result -> BBabies cry their eyes out because there are little pesky DD's which are supposed to counter them, and no CA's which they have the easiest time sending back to port.

Guys c'mon. It's all fine. WG doesn't use BBaby bingo card as development roadmap, which is why BB's are actually getting buffed again as their concealment when shooting will only be a high as their firing range. Yes, stock Konig has 15km concealment when shooting 305mm gun's, but when she is burning you can see her from 16.x km because 'balance comrade!'. Ships like Akizuki will be fine, they can perfectly evasion tank while being spotted all the time, it's a fast and has very good turning ability! Evasion tanking is easy with her, and don't forget you got a lot of armor, hitpoints and a heal.. ow wait those were BB's again right? Anyway, don't forget, you can always smoke up, you will have to use smoke to stay alive. But don't worry, after this patch BBaby bingo card development roadmap has specified that smoke is OP and must be nerved as well! As to other non glorious DD's ( those who aren't made with Stalinium for extra speed ), it's fine to go for cap's, since you can always kill enemy DD and get undetected without sacrificing all your hp right away! Well unless you got 14km range and there is an enemy within that range ofc. So, comrade's, you all know how to play your DD's from now on -> stay VERY close to the rest of your fleet and forget about basic concepts like PTFO. Instead, rely on some of your BBabies to find their W key and go cap for you, they will be spotted as well but they got armor and hitpoints and heal so they are the perfect ships for capping! In fact, BB's can semi stealth fire, Koning stays at 15km, shoots it's gun's and moves outside of 15km concealment range.. instant disappearing battleship, presto! 25s later with gun's almost loaded, come into 15km to shoot, rinse and repeat. It's going to be a whole new meta * cough #MakeBBGreatAgain cough *. And don't worry about those ships which will be broken, WG said they will be buffed next patch. Except, ofc, they want to use their precious statistics for that. Which means they think people are actually going to PLAY ships which are broken

They also balanced the BB's better, now they will only be spotted as far as they can shoot

No higher tier flooding damage was a higher with new system IF you got a full duration flooding., middle tier roughly the same, small buff to damage inflicted over full flooding, low tiers the same or small nerf. Someone made a nice chart for it at the time, can't remember who though and can't be arsed to look for it. The issue though is, getting a full duration flooding is... not that easy. -

Bye WoWs, it was a pleasure for as long as it lasted, to bad your 'not very much in touch with their player base' developers ruined you. Being in fire in a god darn BB makes you more visible then you shoot 15 inch guns? I feel like using some stronger terms but I don't want to break forum rules so some sarcasm will have to do: well done WG, you're really spoiling us!

Well in the past even if you had to spend 10 minutes sailing along the border to get a carrier, you could still have just won the match just by doing that. CV's aren't that influential anymore ( which is a good thing on it's own, it's just the way WG did it is wrong ). -
I did not play BB's at all on PT but I seen screenshots of Yamato with spotter plane having 31km concealment or something close. I don't think they will LOWER concealment of BB's at the same time as making that of other classes higher, they can't be THAT STUPID.

The issue is NOT just about ships stealth firing, it's about how long ships will stay detected after winning 'local' engagements where there is an enemy still in their maximum gun range.

But that is just an excuse. We have an EU team/staff which should do the cultural translations needed, we don't need to feed it to them in the right form what would they get paid to do otherwise? Now, if we had DIRECT contact with actual developers on EU forum, your point would have more merit ;) edit: wow I got ninja'd -

More so, currently with smoke heavy meta and AAA buffs around you're probably more useful for your team if you can help with smoke and spotting / capping. The problem I have in my DD's isn't that I think I should shoot down more planes in them, but that the cruisers which should be close so they can cover me while I PTFO are usually hiding close to the BBabies in the back -

I fondly recall CBT times where a DD going behind enemy lines to hunt down the CV was more mainstay than an exception Heck I was one of them, I loved going after CV's in any DD. The issue is that those were IJN DD's and I relied on never being spotted. And lots of CV's didn't have SA so they were sitting ducks until the actual torpedo's hit. Even then a good CV player could crossdrop any IJN DD. Crossdroping something like a Gremmy or a Sims however is a lot harder, they can turn so tight without bleeding a lot of speed. Are DD's meant to hunt CV's? Well they were used for that, which kind of counts more then what WG intended them for. -
I know some laptop players who have to zoom out a lot when shooting floaty shells at distant targets... but heck I'm playing on 1680 x 1050 and I'm not complaining
